We discussed sending some of the food back but then someone would be eating after everyone else is done. I hope the owner empowers the waitstaff to reject customers' food at the kitchen versus sending out substandard food and hoping customers don't say anything.

Came out on the high side of normal rare, but accepted it (my own fault). The meat was essentially unseasoned, and had hard gristle in it? Definitely either a cheap cut or poorly cut piece of meat. And the taste followed. Not the best experience.
