She was told by someone that if requested they would put sliced sausage on instead of the one they use. So we decided to go in. You have to order at the register, they don't wait on the tables. So we sat looking the menu over. Very limited to choices and the pizza menu very confusing on how much you pay for the pizza. You pick crust, sauce and cheese and any toppings which 14" would have been $20 something . Unless you pick a 14" and it's a set price. So asking the guy at the counter that my Mom don't like the sausage on the supreme he said " We can leave it off" Why would you pay for something if your not getting it? He said they only had link sausage for dinners not the pizza. The inside was very small dining area and very plain. We ended up deciding to leave since they don't do the link sausage only the ball one which my mom said is usually grizzly and not good . Would not recommend going here it's not authentic Italian food if that's what your looking for. You can not smell anything cooking which is not a good sign either. Usually you can smell garlic or something cooking.

I've expressed my love for Tuscan Oven in Pensacola, and I've reviewed a few pizza places located here in Milton, FL, and wanted to write a review of Hungry Howies since we've eaten our last 3 restaurant pizzas from there. I make a pretty decent pizza at home and would rather eat Tuscan Oven pizza than any other, but sometimes a person doesn't feel like cooking or driving 45 minutes for a pizza so we ordered from Hungry Howie's and were pleasantly surprised at how good they were. I really enjoy their Delux Sub and that's usually all that I order from there, but we wanted pizza and didn't want to cook and we didn't want to drive to get a pizza. It was good. All 3 times. I'll say though, that the 2nd of the 3 pizzas was ordered "well done" and it was absolutely that. Well done. The 3rd of the 3 was good, but the dough wasn't cooked completely. I put the left overs in the toaster oven and finished baking the dough and it was good pizza. Not Tuscan Oven good, but good. So now, we have 2 decent pizza places that we can go to in this area. Hungry Howie's and Marco's. Of the 2, Marcos rates a little higher, but that restaurant is a bit of a drive from here.

The menu includes a great variety of different items. The soup of the day was a green chili chicken stew that sounded too good to pass on, so I ordered that along with a side of Gouda grits and a side of sautéed green beans. The grits were delicious! The green beans were very good; and the soup was good. My wife ordered the Philly Cheesesteak with sweet potato criss-cut fries. The fries were bomb! The sandwich was okay, she was trying to figure out what was missing. On the way home she realized it was missing cheese. A cheesesteak without cheese?!?! Service was very good. Our server was attentive without being overbearing. This bistro is not cheap by any stretch, but it is good and I'm sure we'll return.
