We order DoorDash almost every Sunday..... last week we didn't get our pizzas delivered (totally not Santino's fault).. it was delivered 2 doors down and the neighbors helped themselves before we got it. No photo upon delivery. DoorDash was great and gave us credit. Today we ordered and we got 2 gluten free pizzas.... 1 was perfect - the other was like a mini. What gives guys??? We've never had an issue before!! So bummed!

We ordered delivery. The pizza was burnt and at room temperature. The flavors fell flat. There won't be another time for us.

The pizzas she would always get a suppreme and it comes with sausage. She does not like the sausage they use which is the little balls. She would take it off the pizza. She was told by someone that if requested they would put sliced sausage on instead of the one they use. So we decided to go in. You have to order at the register, they don't wait on the tables. So we sat looking the menu over. Very limited to choices and the pizza menu very confusing on how much you pay for the pizza. You pick crust, sauce and cheese and any toppings which 14" would have been $20 something . Unless you pick a 14" and it's a set price. So asking the guy at the counter that my Mom don't like the sausage on the supreme he said " We can leave it off" Why would you pay for something if your not getting it? He said they only had link sausage for dinners not the pizza. The inside was very small dining area and very plain. We ended up deciding to leave since they don't do the link sausage only the ball one which my mom said is usually grizzly and not good . Would not recommend going here it's not authentic Italian food if that's what your looking for. You can not smell anything cooking which is not a good sign either. Usually you can smell garlic or something cooking.

We felt very under dressed for this restaurant but, you wouldn't know it based on how we were treated. We were kindly greeted at the door and offered a table right away. We opted to sit at the bar because we were in a hurry wanted to place a to-go order for a pizza. Our bartender was very kind and accommodating, He answered all of our questions and made recommendations. All of the pizza offerings looked fantastic. We settled on the Calzone Genovese, even though this was a calzone there was no problem making it into a pizza. The wood fire pizza oven was in the center of the restaurant, so we were able to watch them make our pizza. It had ricotta cheese, mushrooms, pesto, and caramelized onions. It was very good and a nice change from a pizza with classic red sauce. The pizza crust had a good amount of char on the bottom with just the right amount of thickness. I would recommend Mimmo's to anyone and will definitely return if I am ever back in Destin.

Even though it was packed, service was great, though there were long in between. We ordered; House bread and oil (free) - 5 stars, this was so delicious. Garlic knots - 2 stars, basic garlic knots. We liked the house bread better Gnocchi with lobster- 5 stars, absolutely delicious. I was nervous about the lobster. But it was cooked perfectly in the dish. Gnocchi melted in your mouth. Loved this Pasta lobster dish - 5 stars, also absolutely delicious. Perfect cook on the lobster, house made pasta, just wonderful. Tiramisu - 3 stars, it was delicious, only complaint was the lady fingers were not soaked in coffee. And they placed chocolate syrup on it, not sure why. Bread pudding - 2 stars, it's not traditional bread pudding. It came out in slice of cake form. The ratio to Carmel bourbon syrup was way off. It was more apple spice cake than bread pudding in my opinion. We would definitely go back for the pasta and house bread, while skipping apps and desserts. We would recommend this place for pasta!

So much so that we returned again before the end of our trip. The restaurant was quaint and service was very good, especially our first visit. Our top recommendation would be the lasagna which was the best I've ever had and so large that it easily feeds 2 people! The mushroom brochette and veal piccata were also delicious. Wine was excellent and so was the bread. We will be back.

The bread was very good and is probably top 5 as far as restaurants I have visited that offer complimentary bread. Insalata Mista - Good, nothing special or that sets it apart from other salad. The house dressing was good, leans more on the sweet side. Lasagna - The biggest portion of lasagna I have ever seen and ever received at a restaurant. The waitress said they call it the "Birthday Cake." Once it arrived at the table we understood why, it was almost the side of a birthday cake. The flavor was really good as well. It had a good amount of meat and cheese. It was not a lasagna that was made up of just noodle. Definitely worth ordering. If you're on a date or out with a friend, you could probably split the lasagna. Especially, if you order a salad , soup or appetizer. Spaghetti - It was good, nothing great but not bad either. If you like spaghetti & meatballs this will do the trick however, it won't blow your skirt up but you won't be upset either. Veal Piccata - Very good, I would order this if I went back. The veal cutlet was tender and contained crispy edges. The sauce was very good as well. The capers, lemon and wine were very well proportioned. Grilled Salmon - My Mother-in- Law ordered this and shared the following thoughts. Salmon was good however, the white bean salad that accompanied it was better. 7.5-8 out of 10 as far as the whole dish goes. Torta Savoia - Probably the worst thing we ordered. We all wanted chocolate, specifically chocolate cake. This really underwhelmed and did not satisfy the craving. The mood was a little gummy and didn't have that great of a mouth fill. Sometimes when mousse isn't made completely the correct way, gelatin will be used and occasionally overused. The cake itself wasn't that moist and the taste of chocolate really didn't hit you like it should have. Service - Our waitress was named Corrina. She was really sweet and very informative. Corrina was honest about the menu and suggestions. She was also very observant.

There are two different ways to cook it truly Italian but no recipe that calls for cream or "peas" in it is Italian (The peas in the carbonara with crème fresh is a Gordon Ramsey variant while just using heavy cream is an American variation of this dish.) Now this is not to say their dishes aren't good, they are just not traditional Italian. My mother enjoyed the spaghetti and meatballs. She actually had to take part of it home. My carbonara was satisfying and the sauce was not runny. In Italy, bread is not an appetizer. You should eat it alongside your main protein or vegetable courses, use it to push food onto your fork, or save it for fare la scarpetta--using a small piece to mop up the leftover sauce on your plate after eating your pasta. Where the bread with olive oil served on the side comes from, I have no clue. Perhaps other items on the menu will be more traditional. Service - the little girl that took our order appeared to be over whelmed. It took me ten minutes to get the check Ambiance- neat and clean.
