Ordered 1 pizza from here tonight. I realize that it is Halloween night and they are busy but was told that it would be delivered in an hour. No problem. Two hours later I call and see where the pizza is and am told that the driver is leaving with it now. LIE! Now it is approaching 3 hours since I ordered. Will not order from here again. Ordered 2 medium pizzas Sunday night and we went to pick up. One was the specialty all meat pizza and the other was a beef and mushrooms topping. We've for the most part have always enjoyed their pizza and fresh ingredients but that was not our experience from Sunday. The crust was over processed and over proofed. The all crust pizza barely had any sauce or meat on it. I think there was about 10 sliced mushrooms on it. Since grocery prices have increased this location has cut back on ingredients and toppings thus proving that is not a value for these consumers. Had a whole pizza leftover that I will be adding my own sauce and toppings to instead. From now on we will be purchasing our pizza elsewhere. read more

I didn't realize 1 topping meant cheese only. The cheese only pizza was gross, very bland. And jonny gives a banana pepper and some garlic sauce. The sauce was cold and some bad person litteraly pre-squeezed the pepper! I hope they get fired. Worst pizza EVER! Sidenote...im very easy to please. Ordered a pizza and the order was wrong. Delivered only half. Called the location and had to explain the problem 5 times. Asked to speak with a manager and then I was hung up on. Finally spoke with the manager shift manager Curtis. He offered to remake the pizza so having to wait for the other half of the order. Asked for a coupon/credit on the next order and was denied. So they do not honor their service at all. Asked to speak with Gabby the general manager and was told she was too busy to deal with customers. Wow! Will not be back. So we tried again......pizza was not edible. They are the closest to our neighborhood within a few miles however they refuse to deliver. We have tried several times and again they did not honor the coupons, overcharged us and we cannot eat the pizza... just gross. read more

Our RC Papa Johns is amazing! :) Pizza Hut has let us down so often and their delivery times are absurd! But PJ has fantastic food, always always fresh! And delivery is within half an hour. We order about once a week. We have never had an issue, I once ordered the wrong topping by mistake, called to have them correct it and they made a whole new one no charge even though it was our mistake. Love our PJ and we will continue to order there for our pizza, wings, etc! read more

Pizza is usually fine. They messed up the toppings on our pizza on two occasions, but aside from that the food is okay. The real issue here is with customer service. We had $10 Papa Dough (PJ's new version of rewards points) and used it on our online order. It brought our total down to $10.81 which was shown on the checkout page. After finishing the check out process, I noticed the confirmation email said it charged us $21.63 which was the total prior to the $10 Papa Dough being applied. My credit card showed the same. Since I figured this was a technical error with Papa Johns website I called their customer service number instead of this location directly. The lady that was helping me from customer service agreed that it was a technical issue. She said she would call this stores manager, have them cancel the order on their end, and then have me reorder online while I was on the phone with her so that I would be charged the correct amount. When the lady from customer service spoke with this location they claimed they were unable to cancel the transaction due to it being the end of the night and the ticket already being closed, yet it was still 55 minutes until they closed the store. Hard to believe they had zero way of cancelling the order out or refunding the money so that the order could be replaced in the correct amount. If it's true, it's time to upgrade to a newer system because no other place has that issue. So we ended up paying $10 more than what we were told our total was and thanks to the lack of help from the stores end, there's nothing customer service could do about it. So I will continue to order from Papa Johns, but will not order from this location anymore. This is not the first time we ran into customer service issues with this store either. The one and only time we placed an order by phone, due to the online system not recognizing our street name at the time, the lady messed up our address, had an attitude, and the driver ended up on a random road off 30 in a field. When we asked the driver the address he was given, it wasn't anywhere near the address we gave over the phone. There are too many pizza places in the area. If you want customers, you need to be able to provide exceptional customer service. read more

We loved our experience with the Royse City Papa John's. Friendly service and great pizzas. This was our second visit and we were not disappointed. We like to pick up our food, so we don't use delivery with any restaurants. I will caution when you call in, you might get India call center. But employee at the location said we have the option of pressing 5 and getting someone at the actual store. I may do that next time. I don't enjoy dealing with language barrier ordering. read more

Just got off a stressful 11 hour shift and was sitting in my car dreading getting out. A fine gentleman (I'm not sure of his name) came up to my window and asked me if I had a carry out. He went inside and grabbed it for me and brought it back to my car. Even though it wasn't anything big, his generosity and kindness brightened up my day and I appreciate people like that. I usually order the extra large with extra cheese. The price went up to $20 each + $3 delivery fee plus tip. It never comes with extra cheese and they charge me for it . They don't put hardly any, almost no pepperoni, on it. Expect 2 pepperonis (skinny ones) on each slice. No flavor and we end up throwing half it away and eating something from the fridge !! Crazy. I do not recommend. It was awesome when they first opened but now it's just horrible. read more

There are lots of reasons to write reviews. As a person who uses them to make buying decisions, I don't take them lightly and don't write them often. But I had to take the time for this Papa John's. Service and Quality...outstanding. Manager, Ben, took a screw up on my part, a huge App Order mistake, and without hesitation absorbed the hit, remade my Pizzas, and went out of his way to make sure I didn't feel bad, and that I understood that their job is to make the customer happy and that was all that mattered. His team jumped on order, made some amazing Stuffed Crust and Thin Crust Pizzas, and smiled and thanked me for ordering dinner from them. Now that's how you run a business. Customer first, delicious hot and fresh Pizzas, and recognizing that the customer has a choice. I'm glad I chose this Papa John's. Full disclosure, this one star is from our most recent experience. We have probably ordered delivery from this PJ's 20 times or so & they have been prompt and the pizza was been relatively good. This evening however was a different experience. The delivery driver brought us our neighbors pizza whom we do not know and vice versa. Honest mistake, I get it. It happens. He comes back, asks for the pizzas back after we opened them and said he would get the pizza remade and re- delivered momentarily. Inconvenient yes, but no big deal. 10 minutes goes by, he then comes back with the pizzas we originally ordered (after speaking to his manager and/or owner I assume) from our neighbor's house that was already opened and asked if we would take it. My wife felt uncomfortable and pressured and took the pizza. Once she told me this, I was irritated with her to be honest, but in hindsight, she never should have been put in that situation. They should have made us new, unopened, fresh pizza considering how dangerous Covid truly is. Very disappointed about how things transpired and how an honest mistake was not easily made right. Essentially we ate luke-warm pizza that our neighbors already opened 10 minutes prior. What's the point in having a "quality seal," when it comes to you broken. Knowing that Papa Johns (corporate at least), prides itself on safe delivery and taking the necessary precautions to keep it's customers safe, this situation is very alarming and unacceptable. read more

Tonight had my last Papa John's Pizza. Ordered a pizza that was to have Alfredo sauce but came with red sauce. Looked like the forgot the cheese because there was barely any on the pizza. And ordered thin crust, but it was more like a tossed pizza crust and very chewy versus being crisp. It was just not properly done so very disappointed. read more
