I drive for DoorDash and this place has been a place I stop at frequently for peoples orders. I would not give this place any business and it needs to be closed. This is the nastiest location and the food quality and service is terrible all the time. I have ordered the garden pizza for a couple of years and have enjoyed it, but no more. I ordered one a few months ago, and it was overcooked and under-topped. I assumed it was a one-off experience, so I tried again tonight which was a huge mistake. This pizza was even worse--burned, dry, thick inedible center and incorrect toppings what there was of them. I ordered a pizza on the papa John's app. Then I was informed through the app that my delivery would be handled by DoorDash. The papa John's app gave me an estimate delivery time but then DoorDash gave me a time that was an hour later. I called papa John's and they said my pizza was ready and waiting for a DoorDash driver. I ended up canceling my order because I didn't want to eat cold pizza that sat for an hour waiting for the DoorDash driver. The guy at the store was very apologetic and said this is a common problem. The managers at this PaPa John's go over and above to take care of their customers. I put in an order at this store by mistake. I talked to the manager and he reassured me that has happened before. He instantly assured me that the money would be refunded. If I lived in Statesville, I would patronize this store anytime. read more

Can't comment on delivery because I've always picked up and taken the order back to the plant. Occasionally when the staff at the plant has worked beyond what is normally required to get something our or just to show our appreciation, we will order Pizzas from Papa John's Normally we don't order for delivery because of the number of items on the order so it's just easier to pick up the phone and call. If we forget something, we can generally get it when we get there. This location is less than a mile away so it is convenient. Small staff so you have to allow time but if you ask up front for wait times, they will normally give you a pretty close approximation. The five or six times I have ordered, I got there while the pizza's were coming out of the oven so they were very hot and fresh. Taking them to the break room is like watching a flock of vultures descend on a fresh carcass in a feeding frenzy. The staff does enjoy it and they need not worry about getting enough because we always order extra and there is always some left over. Folks are pleasant and as I said before, you just have to work with them. Good spot to get food for an on site employee luncheon. read more

I was not able to place an order due to an employee placing me on hold for a long time. Each call back went straight to hold. When showing up in person, I was met with a snarky attitude, told several times he was the only one there, and that he would not take my order when I gave it to him on the phone because he had three other customers. Customer Service was no help when after nearly 2 weeks, suggested I call them back to place an order, which would probably end up with spit or something worse in it. I have never been disappointed getting my pizza from PAPA JOHNS. Fast and friendly. My only complaint? I don't live next door! LOL. I buy my pizza there when I am in town, on my way home. And as advertized, better ingredients makes better pizza. The counter personel also makes the pizza. And my wait time is minimal. Never in my life have I been treated so rudely by a worker (and a manager at that)! I ordered online and came in to pick up my pizza. I opened the box to check, and discovered that my pizza was incorrect. I asked the nice lady waiting on me if it would be possible for them to correct the mistake. She said yes and told the man making the pizzas that she needed a remake on the order. He did not reply or acknowledge her. I waited a few more minutes and I asked if she knew how long it would take. She said at least 30 minutes. I simply asked if they could squeeze it in faster since I had already waited on it once and it was a store mistake. This time the man acknowledged that he had heard. He actually turned around and started SCREAMING at me that I was not the only customer they had and I could wait. I was taken aback by the attack and I said that he did not need to be so rude. He continued to SCREAM and told me that I could leave. The poor woman and the other 2 customers looked appalled by his behavior. I asked if there was a manager I could speak to and the woman said that the man screaming was the boss. She did let me know that his name was Charles. If that is the best Papa Johns can do for managers, then qualifications have certainly dropped drastically. I then asked for the franchise owner's information which she said regular employees did not have access to. I will make sure to post on Facebook , Google, and Yelp that people should not visit this establishment until the manager has been replaced. Waited over an hour for delivery. Pizza and breadsticks were cold and undercooked. The toppings were also wrong and not as we ordered. We typically order at Marcos which is truly delicious (and 20 mins or less for actually cooked pizza); however, we wanted something different, a terrible decision, so gross!
