This store is the reason I will never order papa johns again. I ordered from this store a year ago and they messed up my order. I wrote a review and the owner reached to try and fix it. Let me first start off saying I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, HATE WRITING BAD REVIEWS ABOUT ANY BUSINESS. But despite my better judgement I wanted to give this Papa Johns a chance at proving me and everyone else who wrote a bad review, WRONG. Being from out of town and staying at a hotel only 2.5 miles from this store location (didn't have a rental car to drive there), i Ordered a Papa Johns pizza through Yelps EAT24 online delivery service, and it took what felt like ALL NIGHT for my Pizza to arrive. Everytime I called the store location (which was twice), the phone staff kept telling me the pizza delivery had already left the store......RIGHT NOW In my mind, there is ONLY one of three things is to blame for their poor delivery service, 1) the lying employees that work at that store location, 2) their unreliable delivery driver that has no sense of what time lapse is, or 3) the UNRELIABLE YELP EAT24 online ordering service THAT THEY SEEM/MOST LIKELY TO IGNORE. I placed $23.00 online custom pizza order that was delivered 2 hours late. Based on their prior bad reviews, I should have NEVER ordered the pizza from here. Don't waste your time, this place obviously doesn't care about their delivery service, and won't send you Pizza you order through Yelp either on time nor promptly. To be fair, although the rushed and just freshly baked 2 hour late pizza, did arrive warm, and tasted good, their customer service still sucks. This place is nasty. When I walked in no one was at the front window, I could hear people in the back laughing and talking. So waited for a while and then the a man came from the the back with a pizza to hand off to a lady who was also in the waiting room. He literally came into the waiting room touching doorhandles with flour all over his hands, touched kitchen door knob and outside door to walked the lady to her car (I'm assuming he was flirting with her) then came back and touching the same two door handles from before and never washed his hands. Oddly enough,I have a decent experience each time I come here. The workers are usually very friendly and pleasant although I did come once and the worker was outside smoking. I hate to see a worker smoking in front of his or her job. I usually order a veggie pizza with no cheese (don't knock until you try it). Pizza is always good, but ALWAYS late when you order delivery. Every. Single. Time. By at least 25 minutes past the 15 minute "window" of delivery, which is still 30-45 minutes. Horrible customer service. They don't care about their customers at all. Staff needs training. I'm pretty sure Papa John wouldn't be happy with the workers there. I ordered from there and never got my order. When I called almost 2 hours later to check in my order they said the driver already came. When I asked for my refund, the"manager" claimed it writing take 5-10 days to refund my card and actually told me to come to the store to get confirmation that he processed my refund. This place gets a one star sole on professionalism or the lack of. The person on the phone was completely rude saying "watchu want?" or "huh!? I cannot hear you!" I ordered my pizza at 7 pm and it didn't get to me until 945pm. When I called to see where my pizza was, the same guy on the phone, "oh sorry its still here at the store, it'll be there in like 15 min". When the driver gets to my hotel, he calls me and says "I'm out front". 99% of the time a pizza delivery person will bring it to your hotel room. Not these guys. I'm being kind by giving two stars and not one. I've ordered from from this location 3 times. The first time, the customer service was terrible. I made the mistake and ordered 2 pizzas online and paid by debit card. My mistake - I know. I called to ask the manager to remove one pizza, and he hastily explained how he couldn't refund a portion of the order because the online system processed it. He could only cancel the entire order. He sounded very ghetto and was extremely short with me, so I started to get frustrated, but I remained professional and calm, as I asked him if he could bring me the cash for the price of one pizza. Again, he seemed frustrated and irritated with me as he explained why he did not want to do that - something about costing the restaurant the money for a pizza they never made. I was trying to keep my order because I know I caused the manager frustration and because I wanted that pizza, but I started to feel like someone might spit in my pizza just because they were irritated with me. Eventually, after what felt like several minutes going back and forth with a rude manager, I asked the manager to simply cancel my entire order. He quickly said ok, and hung up in my ear. My second experience when ordering was fine. It was the delivery driver who gave terrible customer service. He got a little lost in my development; it happens, but, again, he was really, rude, short and ghetto as I tried to direct him to my building. When we finally met up, and I got the pizza, and turned around to walk back to my door, he said, under his breath, but still loudly enough for me to hear, "Next time give me a tip." I wanted to tell him, "Here's a tip; provide better customer service," but I resisted the urge to avoid an altercation. I just ordered another pizza today, the same kind as before; Spinach Alfedo. Last time, the pizza was perfect. I had thin crust, but it wasn't too crispy and the cheese was abundant. This time, I was suspicious about whether or not someone had done something to my pizza. There were hollow spots on over half the slices; spaces where there wasn't any cheese, and it seemed like there was a lot less cheese than what was on the first pizza, and the crust was overcooked. The delivery driver, on the other hand was extremely polite, customer friendly and professional. I guess it's a hit or miss with this place, but I smelled and tasty the suspicious slices and they tasted fine, but after eating a few slices, the pizza no longer looked appetizing, and I didn't even eat the entire pie. Called the restaurant once after an hour (20 Mina past the estimate) was assured he was on the way to me.. I live 5 minutes from the location and while I understand there may be other orders he has to deliver don't tell me he's on the way to me if he's not... 30 minutes later I call again.. she calls the driver... after being on hold for 10 minutes she informs me he's 6 minutes away.. how? 30 minutes ago he was on the way to me and your delivery radius isn't that large.. otherwise I'd be ordering from the fort Washington location.. I asked to cancel the order because at this point I don't want a soggy pizza that's been in someone's car for over half a hour.. she responds: ok, your money will be back on your card in 2 days... No apology nothing.. At this point I'm fuming and hungry ... and am still waiting on hold for a manager.. after 20 minutes of waiting on hold I hung up.. called back and got a manager... he didn't even care enough to ask why ... I'm glad I placed an online order without checking the Yelp reviews first because I may have changed my mind. My experience was 5-stars. I placed an online order 1 1/2 days ahead of when I needed it. It was for 17 different pizzas to be ready for 11:30 am. I did not place a follow-up phone call to make sure everything was fine before I picked up the order. By 11:30 all pizzas were ready, hot, and made as ordered. There were zero mistakes. The female clerk provided fantastic, and friendly service. She helped walk the pizzas to my car, and provided a bag with plates, napkins, and seasoning packets. I can't say enough positive things about this experience. read more

They also seem like the drivers dont really know the area and get lost when coming to my house. The drivers call me after being late and get mad because they cant find my house. Awful service....Just awful. I have ordered from them several times this week as I am in from out of town and normally get papa johns when I travel. First, I asked EACH TIME (4x this week) for an itemized receipt so I can turn it in on my expense report. EVERY time my food has come the driver has said "Oh...I forgot it." They didn't even have a regular receipt for me to sign. Also, the delivery driver has called me 3 out of 4 orders saying I must come to the lobby to get the food.
