I came here for lunch while at a conference at the Gaylord and had a beautiful water view and an amazing meal. Service was great as well. We started with some buffalo shrimp, which I loved and probably could have eaten several portions of the appetizer as my main meal! So good....the blue cheese that was on the plate was great too. For my main I had a ginormous southwest chicken salad that I didn't think I'd be able to finish but it was sooooo good that before I knew it, I'd finished the whole thing. The nice server offered dessert and I had seen the guy next to us get some kind of cookie skillet thing that looked and smelled delicious but I had to pass. Next time maybe! Really nice place, great food and terrific service. I liked it!

Went with a group for brunch. The hostess and the waiter were great. We were a few minutes late for our reservation but were seated quickly. It was extremely warm in the dining area, and it's 95 degrees outside. You could see people fanning themselves with menus trying to stay cool. That was strike one. Two of us ordered the chef's brunch. It comes with French toast, eggs, sausage, hash browns, and fruit. You can have unlimited servings of whatever you ask for. Sounds good, right? My food was pretty hot so that was a good start. I tasted the hash browns first. Flavorless, dry, crusty. Then I tried the eggs. They were scrambled with cheese. Edible. The French toast...dry. The turkey sausage met basic expectations for frozen turkey patties. The fruit was the best part. So I asked for another serving of everything except for turkey sausage thinking that the first plate was just a fluke and the second one would be better. No, the same dry, crusty, flavorless food. That was strikes two and three. Coming here was my idea since I have had good experiences in the past, but I ended up regretting suggesting it. I'm not sure what happened with the quality of food but it was enough to turn me off from coming back again.

I popped into Redstone on a Saturday at noon. I saw a brunch menu on their site, but probably didn't pay close attention to the fine print. Brunch wasn't being served, so we settled for lunch. Nothing looked too appetizing, so I opted for a rotisserie chicken salad. I eliminated the tomatoes and raisins. When the salad came out, I was extremely disappointed. It was full of iceberg lettuce, chicken scraps, corn and cornbread croutons. It was awful...I didn't finish it. I could have eaten a handful of arugula and been more satisfied. Needless to say, I didn't enjoy it, didn't finish it and ate as soon as I got home. The salad was $20 and should have been $5 (really free). The waitress, Phoenix, was super sweet. She checked on us often, and the restaurant was well lit and clean.

My family and I were staying at The Gaylord and decided to dine at Redstone for dinner. It was a freezing Friday evening around 8 and we were seated within 5 minutes. Jimmy was our server and he was awesome. He told us that he has been working at Redstone since they opened 11 years ago. He was the best part about the evening. It's beautiful inside, there's a big fireplace at the entrance to keep you warm while you wait to be seated. The seating is plentiful and we were seated at the window overlooking the Harbor, it was beautiful!! We ordered drinks & appetizers, then our entrees. Everything came out in perfect timing. We started with the Bacon Brussel Sprouts and the Crab Dip for appetizers. The Brussel Sprouts were delicious, the Crab Dip was ok. For entrees, I had the Redstone Burger, it was cooked perfectly, but no taste really. One of my family members had the Shrimp Scampi, the shrimp were big and fried to perfection, the scampi it self was ok, a little dry. My other family member had the Chicken Pesto Bellagio and had to ask for more sauce. She only ate a few bites. Again, the ambiance and the service were perfect, but the food was just ok.

This place was fine. We had reservations but still waited forever to even get water. The service was really slow. They were busy, but I do wish they could hire more people. I was I could say that the food was worth the wait, but it was just okay. I got the chicken sandwich with hot honey but I didn't taste any hot honey and the bun was pretty dry. The mac and cheese was good but I wasn't blown away. I'd probably not be back and would try another restaurant at the harbor.

They have a great location, right on the water. We had 2 waiters helping us, both super friendly. One of them walked me to the bathroom to show me where it was. They have a lot on their menu to choose from. My friend had the french onion soup, which she thoroughly enjoyed. We shared the fried cauliflower appetizer which was good. I had the short ribs au jus, with asparagus and mashed potatoes. I'm used to short ribs being prepared differently, so it wasn't what I expected, however it was tasty. We were in their "party section", so it was very loud. Wouldn't sit there again. There is a paid parking garage nearby. And the restaurant is right by the ferris wheel, which we rode.

Corn bread appetizer: definitely a shareable size. This is really good. Steak frites: the steak was good and the sauce added some freshness. The fries were good and had a little kick to it.

Everything was delicious. From the hot fresh bread with the fresh garlic butter, fig jam and oil with pesto, to the delicious lobster bisque, to the Mexican cornbread with the peppers, to the fall off the bone baby back ribs. Enjoy cocktails by the window or on the patio overlooking the water and the famous Ferris wheel. Good eats and scenery.

You have to try the Braised Short ribs! Before you dig in take time to enjoy the aroma of the dish. Our ribs had a nice smoky aroma. Order the Blue Moon on tap. For me there was a very nice freshness to the tap. The restaurant is in a very nice location on the pier. If you can make it during sunset ask for a table by the window and enjoy the beautiful view. Big kudos to our server, Warren. He was super friendly and accommodating!

The food was really inconsistent. The calamari was very chewy. And the sea bass was pretty good with the sauce however the rice was extremely inconsistent. Some of it was fine and some of it was extremely overcooked, disappointing for it to be the most expensive dish on the menu.

I've been to Redstone American Grill a few times for dinner and I've always thought it was somewhere that was ok, but nothing that I was dying to go back. Picked this place because it was a central location for some friends to meet up. When we arrived around 12:15pm, it was pretty empty. We got a great booth with views of the Ferris Wheel, which I loved. Our waiter, LaToya was good. I got the Chef's Brunch which was unlimited and just ok. The bacon and eggs were the best items to me. The french toast was just ok. However, the price was decent.

Grabbed a bite to each with friends while in the area. Service was slightly slow but we enjoyed each-others company while we waited. Our server was very pleasant. Our meals were decent and the prices are whats to be expected for the area. The presentation of the meals were almost too beautiful to eat! We were seated with a perfect view of the water, boats, and ferris wheel. Overall a solid experience.

Great location overlooking the water. Carb loading before a marathon. Had the shrimp scampi (forgot the picture). It was delicious! Loved our server, Krystal:)

At first, you'll see what looks like just a pizza shop -- but if you head in and either use the side door or walk through and climb a set of stairs, you'll find the speakeasy upstairs. Very cool vibe: dark, cozy, and date-night ready. Drinks: 4/5 I ordered their take on an Old Fashioned, and it was definitely the highlight of the night but sweeter than I would have liked. They served it over a stamped solid block of ice (a small detail I ). My friend was abstaining from alcohol that night and asked for a non-alcoholic cocktail. To our surprise, they didn't just hand her a lemonade like most places -- they actually made her a crafted virgin drink, which she loved. Food: 3/5 We ordered fries and a slice of pepperoni pizza. The fries turned out to be waffle fries (not mentioned on the menu) and were overly crispy, so not really our favorite. The pizza was fine -- clearly sourced from the shop downstairs -- but it leaned oily and didn't really wow us. Service: 5/5 Pretty standard -- nothing over the top, but not neglectful either. Drinks came out reasonably fast, food followed, and we were checked on enough without it feeling pushy. Vibes: 4/5 The speakeasy itself is definitely the selling point. Dark, intimate, and stylish -- you feel like you've found a little hidden spot. All in all, the cocktails are the reason to come, especially if you're into whiskey. The food was forgettable, but it's convenient that you can order pizza upstairs. We spent about $30-40 for drinks and snacks, which isn't shocking for Old Town. Would I go back? Maybe if I was already in the area, but for a dedicated whiskey night, I'd probably head somewhere else.

For appetizers, I ordered the fried oyster deviled eggs, and wow... they were so good. The little fried oysters on top of the deviled eggs were such a perfect combination. Crispy, creamy, flavorful -- definitely something I would order again without hesitation. For my entrée, I had the whole grilled branzino served over a green bean and fennel salad, and let me tell you... this was hands down one of the best branzinos I've ever had. The fish was seasoned perfectly and cooked beautifully. And that green bean and fennel salad underneath? So much better than I expected. I actually considered swapping it out, and I'm so glad I didn't because it completed the dish perfectly. Every bite was delicious. I also had a cocktail called the Endless Summer -- a tequila drink with this amazing foam on top -- and it was excellent. I asked the bartender for a recommendation, and she absolutely delivered. The bartender was friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. I went by myself, sat at the bar, and genuinely enjoyed every minute of it. If you can snag a table outside, do it--the views really add to the atmosphere. The standout of my experience was actually the "Old Man and the Sea" bourbon cocktail. It was one of the best drinks I've had in a while--well-balanced, flavorful, and worth ordering again. Of course, I had to try the lobster roll since it's advertised as Maryland's best. It was definitely good: fresh, well-prepared, and satisfying. That said, having spent time in Maine, I've had a few lobster rolls there that I would rank higher. To be fair, I can't compare it to other lobster rolls in Maryland, so it may very well be among the best the state has to offer. Between the location, great cocktails, and solid food, The Walrus is absolutely worth a visit if you're in National Harbor. I'd happily come back, especially for another Old Man and the Sea while enjoying the view.

I ran out of room giving the backstory so I cut it and and will start from here…read more ... We get there and there is a line. Not a long one but it wasn't moving so one of us says "Let's get a table". Guess which one didn't say that. While they are deciding if we are going to get a table, I read the dress code. It said not sweat pants but my sweats weren't bad. What I was wearing looks like casual sweats that a ball player would be wearing so when I asked if I would be able to get in, the guy was like yeah, no problem. I was a little suspicious and my boy started laughing because it seemed like dude didn't even let me finish my question before he said yeah. He must have know how smooth I was and how I would add appeal to the club LOL. My thought was we would stand in line and enter because the main reason we were going to do bottle service was to ensure we get in with what we were wearing. Come to find out, we were entertaining bottle service because we are old and they wanted to ensure they had a place to sit down. So we tell them we want to get a table and this is when we get to see the staff in action. Up to this point, we only see out front security dude and a lady letting people in at a slow pace. They go get someone to arrange our table and they walk us in. The dude that walks us in is very professional. I thought he was walking us into a safe deposit box in a vault the way he handled us. It was nice. We get in and there is a section to our right of younger people, mid 20's it turned out and 2 were having a birthday. They were pretty mellow but they were coupled up. Once the single women started to join the party, it was a whole different vibe. Table was a $850 spend which I thought was a bit much for this place. I mean, it's in the MGM but it isn't Vegas which was only $150 more. I got Uncle Nearest because supporting black businesses is important to me and a bottle of Grey Goose because we don't drink Tequilla and we love Grey Goose. We asked for ginger beer, cranberry juice, orange juice and sprite. We didn't get the ginger beer at first but we did get ginger ale. Eventually they brought out the ginger beer but that took a while. However, that didn't matter because it took even longer to bring out the spirits. I don't remember the woman's name but she was a good server. She was reasonably attentive considering it seemed like she had a lot of tables to attend to. There were times we had to stop her as she walked by because we needed something. She was obviously preoccupied with what the other table asked of her but we also needed something so I stopped her and asked if they had stir straws that you get in rock glasses because we had full size soda straws but only rock glasses and that don't work well. She did get some straws cut for us in a timely manner. I'm just going to come right out and say it. There were way too many dudes in there. I don't know if it was more balanced at one point and the women were just like, nah and rolled out but I hope they weren't just letting people in because they were in line. I am a compassionate person and I understand it's a struggle to get into some clubs at times but you have to keep the balance. I know you want to make money and dudes spend money but they spend more money if women are in there. I guess some money is better than no money but I think it taints the brand. I'm not pressed to go back because it had to be 11 guys to 1 woman. Now, we weren't out for that but the ratio is still the appeal. The DJ was pretty good. I don't remember when he actually started spinning because I was focused on the game and didn't notice him til the TV went off which I'm guessing is when he got up there. I hope my vision wasn't that focused on the game that I didn't see a DJ standing right there but there wasn't really much of anything to watch but the game unless I wanted to watch a club full of dudes watch the 6 women dancing together on the dance floor. Most of the people dancing were couples that look like they came together and groups of girls. I saw two girls dance with what seemed like randoms but everyone else was just standing around. I guess they were taking just a break from gambling. It wasn't a bad experience but it wasn't one that makes me want to go back anytime soon. If this service was in a different place or if it was a better night the review would be slightly different. They can't help that I chose to come out on this specific date but it was a Friday and we did stay til they kicked us out. Yup! The old dudes shut that piece down! LOL.
