I go here pretty often for cheesesteaks because I'm actually pretty picky about them, and these are consistently good. The sandwich is moist, cheesy, flavorful, and not dry at all. The steak has a good flavor, and even though there's no sauce on the cheesesteak, it still hits. I usually try to call my order in ahead of time so I can quickly run in and grab it, but just a heads up, they pretty much need to physically see you there before they start making the food. So if you have a larger order, it's probably best to go in, place the order, then either sit in your car or leave and come back. While waiting, I've seen people picking up huge party trays of wings, and they looked and smelled really good. I'll probably try those next. Another plus is that there's ample parking in the back, which makes pickup much easier. This definitely seems like one of those local neighborhood spots the community really enjoys because there's almost always a steady flow of customers and DoorDash drivers coming in and out. Tonight, I placed an order thru doordash for the following items: Chicken fingers & fries Mac & Cheese 12" cheesesteak sub Shrimp quesadilla Order was placed in the 6pm hour. I received a text at 7:03, the food was picked up and would arrived at 7:29pm. At 7:30, I checked the status and noticed my driver was still in the parking lot of the establishment. I sent a text asking for a status update. No response was received. At 7:45, an update was provided that my food would be delivered at 7:54. I reached out to the restaurant and was told the driver's cell phone died. Not sure how this is makes any sense?! Another driver was assigned. The cheesesteak was warm when it arrived. However, everything else was cold as fuck! I can't blame the restaurant for this since the driver was at fault. Hubby enjoyed his warm cheesesteak, stepson enjoyed his chicken strips, fries and Mac while I bitterly ate my cold ass shrimp quesadilla. Since majority of the family is satisfied then I'm happy. This food is not good at all, I ordered 3 wings, fries and a cheesesteak, they gave me a leg, a thigh and something else I don't know what piece it was, the meat tasted funny, the skin was the only thing edible to me but it wasn't that good either, the cheesesteak was so messy, and I love a messy sub but this was just low quality surprisingly because it was over $10, the lettuce were old, I had to take them off, it was loaded with so many hot peppers, it was just to me. The whole fried chicken wings were amazinggggg. Way better than the ones I've had in the DMV for a late night meal. They came with two dinner rolls and a good amount of fries. If you are in the mood for late night sit down restaurant quality meal this is the place for you. They are also open during the daytime. But do take note that this establishment does stay open later than most restaurants in the area. They sell a wide variety of food here from stir fry to cheesesteaks, burgers, fresh salads you name it they've got it or if you ask nicely they MAY make you something to order. There is nothing truly fancy here just a take out spot with a few tables and really good food. Everything is made to order so it is fresh every time. The salads they sell here are a great price, always fresh, AND very filling. One salad served for two people and we were both satisfied. If you are in the area you have to give this place a chance. I ordered their 5 piece combo and it came with fries and a drink. Surprisingly it was actually a lot of food. However It was just basic fried chicken and the fries were nothing special. They also include a biscuit with it. My friend ordered their hot wings and they were not spicy at all. Their wings were better than what I got but still they were nothing to go crazy about. Bruh just take me order and hang up the phone. Then when you get there to pick up your food it's easy to tell which one you were on the phone with--the dorky acting one cracking dry humored jokes. Subs: Their best item but make sure you specify between the two VERY DIFFERENT chicken subs Waffles: Great! It has the same feel and esthetic as many of the new, non-asian owned carry-outs in the area. Display case full of the same dessert options, menu with the same print type and layout. Cookie cutter, new age American carry out? I received my food. Yup, thin chicken breasts, about 4 small to medium shrimp... ok, MAYBE 5, lots of rice, and for my salad-- shredded lettuce with a bit of salsa (diced tomato, onion and some green?) I got two pieces of whiting for the fish eaters that may have wanted to sample and some spinach. I saw that the fish was really thin and heard it had a few bones,but that it was good. The spinach was chopped and fell some where between sauteed and heavily boiled, but seasoned well. I prefer whole spinach lightly sauteed or steamed. Is it smack my lips, banging? I ended up getting the grilled fish with shrimp that comes with salad and rice. My boyfriend got grilled chicken and shrimp. Both of our meals were great. The rice is something I never had taste like cheddar but it was so good. The salad was fresh lettuce green with juicy tomatoes that I didn't need any dressing since the tomatoes kind of were like a salsa. I don't even know if they should qualify as a carry-out. You get so used to dirty bulletproof glass, and people who don't really care about customer service at all this business makes you never want to visit them again! It's super clean - I even had to use the bathroom there (let alone they have a bathroom for customers) and it was spectacular. As another reviewer said they are always sweeping or cleaning the glass... all the food is piping hot and cooked to order... except the chicken (which is still hot) but I suspect is cooked in batches ahead of time. My boyfriend tried the steak fajita platter, expecting to be disappointed and it is thus far his favorite in the area... including the steakhouses we've been too. The grilled tilapia never disappoints and all the prices are so beyond reasonable. And yes...even the regular carry-out food (onion rings, cheesesteaks, etc) are great.
