Margaritas
Sophea T.

I went to Papa Julio's in Seneca and tried the margarita flight. Each flavor was balanced and refreshing. The space is cool, which stands out in a town with not many options. It had a lively energy and is perfect if you want good drinks and a spot that can bring some fun when the night kicks in.

Foods pretty good, most dishes are a little spicy but still good. Staff is very friendly and the service is fast. Me and my girlfriend at there in September and the atmosphere was cool, the outdoor seating are is best especially if the resistance good. Lots of adult beverage choices too...

Fast and friendly service margaritas on special, all day, every day! And, they're delicious. Large and pitchers available. Medium pictured, here, with a floater!Food is delicious and authentic. Good chips and salsa, always free! Casual and laid back atmosphere. Lots of big screens for sports

Very cool place with a unique vibe. The food and service were terrific and the prices were very family friendly. The Margaritas were served with expertise and the food was out quickly!

Wonderful festive unexpected atmosphere in this cute little downtown strip!! Oh I'm so happy I came around the corner and didn't go to the other place! The flavored margaritas don't have sweet and sour mix! They're perfect, light and not too sweet! Food is lovely.. what fun!

This place was a hit during our visit to South Carolina! Great ambiance and great food.

Great food, great service, cool vibe. We very much enjoyed this local joint. Highly recommend. Mango margarita was strong!

One of many Mexican restaurants in town but this one has the best ambiance. The food was very good, great drinks.... But.... You have to order food in stages. Our appetizers came out after our main dinners... the food was very good, but hard to eat nachos when your dinners are already there. They comped the appetizer because of it. Giving this 4 stars because the food and ambiance was good.

This place has a wonderful atmosphere and decent food but is far from the best Mexican in the area. Around here, Mexican is everywhere and easy to find, so the competition is fierce. Still, if you looking for a cool vibe for a cocktail and a snack, this is a good spot.

We didn't realize this place had finally reopened, were just driving by and saw the sign and decided to give it another chance, and are glad we did! Immediately upon entrance we could tell there was improvements from the pervious management/ownership. We were greeted by a friendly host and just requested a seat at the bar. Our bartender was on the spot knowledgeable and friendly. She gave us a real menu (not like the stapled copy paper menus the establishment used before) to look at while she asked what we would like to drink. We ordered beverages and noticed the menu had oysters on the half shell on it (surprising for a Mexican restaurant) and decided to give them a try. The oysters were large, plump and fresh with a very good price point of $16.00 per dozen. I cannot think of any place in the Seneca area that has better or a better price. I would suggest spicing up the cocktail sauce though, it was basically just ketchup. Perhaps place extra horseradish on the side like many restaurants do. We ordered meals for takeout, both were fresh, decent portioned and hot. The only disappointment was mine was supposed to include cheese and there was none at all, clearly just an oversight; luckily I had Fontina cheese at home and was able to grate and use it on my meal. Other than that both were very good. Lastly the restaurant was very clean (albeit it just opened so one would expect that), everyone was friendly, they had American sports on the TVs, not movies in Spanish or soccer with Spanish speaking commentators, something most of their competitors do, and we both felt like welcome guests. If Papa Julio's maintains this level of service and professionalism, along with fixing the few minor things we had with the food, they will be a significant player in the Ram Cat Alley restaurant scene for a long time to come.

Average fish tacos and average service. I did have a nice seat outside on a warm evening. Salsa picante was Chile Arbol.

Just barely seared. My husband had scallops and oh my, were they ever delicious! I would pass on the potatoes. They're super heavy with their Barada sauce. And the artichoke dip had very little to no artichoke taste and it was way too thick! So I wouldn't do those, but the positives outweigh the negatives. Their old-fashioned was excellent, and their wine menu is great! The entire experience was worthy of repeating! It's fun to find good, fun dining experiences in Seneca.

The sauces for the steak were excellent. The steak was good, and while it can be fun to cook your dinner yourself right there at your table I think I'd do something different next time. I found the Bravas potatoes sauce a little too reminiscent of a zesty ketchup style dressing, they are not for me. I had two old fashioneds. A smoked version , which was very flavorful (albeit it pricey as I opted for a higher end bourbon) and a lavender old fashioned, which had a few fruit notes. I preferred the smoked. Our server was great and helped us choose a quick dessert so we could get things moving for my daughter, we got the fondue which she very much liked.

Not a whole lot of options on the pond (disappointing). Tracy was behind the bar and even when we switched tables she was our waitress. Unbelievable service. Great place, but the server was as good as I've had in a long time. And her cookies were incredible and a fun treat.

The location is absolutely beautiful, with stunning lake views that are hard to beat. The food was average and didn't really stand out, and unfortunately the service was quite slow during our visit. While we understand that busy days happen, the staff made us feel more like an inconvenience than welcomed guests, which put a damper on the experience. That said, they do have a fantastic store with a great selection of cute shirts and lake-themed merchandise that is definitely worth checking out. We enjoyed browsing the shop and appreciated the convenience of the marina. Overall, the views and store were highlights, but the restaurant experience left room for improvement.
