I'll admit, I'm not always a huge fan of takeout. It can be a bit hit or miss. They assured me we'd love it, and they were right. Food: The order was placed over the phone and included two medium pizzas. One was topped with cheese, sausage, mushrooms, onions, black olives, and green peppers. The other was a Supreme with all of those toppings plus sausage. We arrived at the restaurant at the scheduled pickup time and were told the pizzas were just coming out of the oven. About five minutes later, we watched them being boxed up. By the time we got them back to the house, about 15 minutes later, they were still hot. Both pizzas were excellent. The crust was thin and nicely crisp without being soggy. The sauce was flavorful with just a touch of sweetness. There was plenty of mozzarella cheese and generous toppings, and the pizzas looked like they had been prepared with care. They were every bit as good as our neighbors promised. Service: The staff was friendly while we waited and kept us updated on how much longer it would be. They also suggested that next time we try their garlic bread, describing it as similar to Mama Mia's, with thick bread soaked in butter. They even gave us a couple of paper menus to take home. Atmosphere: There were several other people waiting for carryout orders when we arrived. They also have a dining room, although it wasn't being used while we were there. The seating is simple, with sturdy picnic table-style tables, but it looked clean and comfortable. Based on our first experience, this is definitely a place we'd be happy to order from again, and we'd also be interested in coming back to dine in.

First time here, on the recommendation of my niece…read more The hardest part was figuring out that we had actually arrived at the right place. Google Maps brought us to what looked like a farm driveway with corn growing on both sides. There aren't many signs, just an old wagon decorated with Christmas lights. It's almost as if they want to keep the place hidden from the traffic on Pleasant View Drive. Food: The menu focuses primarily on wood-fired pizza, with additional offerings including appetizers, sandwiches, and sausages. They also have a large selection of beers, including several brewed on-site. We ordered the Milwaukee Pizza (cheese, sausage, mushrooms, and onions), and I also got the Washington County Smashburger. To drink, I had a margarita, and she ordered the Big Buck Bock. Our food arrived quickly, and everything was amazingly good. The pizza was hot, well seasoned, and generously topped. There was so much mozzarella that the other toppings were practically swimming in it. The smashburger was also excellent. The patty was cooked through with beautifully crispy edges. The pickles were crisp with just the right amount of kick. The crinkle fries were plentiful and well cooked, although they were just a touch too salty for my taste. Service: We received great service from the moment we walked in. You can either order from your table or at the counter. Since it was our first visit, we chose the counter. A staff member greeted us right away and explained how everything worked. Even though it was near closing time, they encouraged us to place our order and then relax, letting us know they would still be around for another hour after closing. Our food was brought out promptly, several people checked on us throughout the meal, and they even proactively brought us takeout containers. Everyone we encountered was genuinely friendly and helpful, making for a very relaxing dining experience. Atmosphere: The restaurant is set on an old farmstead. They've done a wonderful job converting several of the buildings and outdoor spaces into a welcoming destination. There are multiple outdoor seating areas, along with a newer food hall that feels open, bright, and thoughtfully designed. It's also a very family-friendly place, with outdoor areas where kids can play while everyone else relaxes. Even the restrooms were modern, spacious, and exceptionally clean. We'll definitely be back, and next time we'll be bringing more of the family with us.

Upon driving in there is a building for the restaurant along with nice outdoor seating, and area for kids to play! We went in mid May on a sunny but cool evening. The kids loved having the sand area and toys to play with while waiting for dinner to arrive. They have a good menu, but there seemed to be a decent amount of items unavailable especially the sausages my friends wanted to try. We ended up with the spring pizza, sassy pig, a plain cheese, and then a three combo of sausages. I thought the pizza was all good, not the best I've ever had but solid. The spring pizza was my favorite. The sassy pig was very unique but good! Personally, I wasn't a huge fan of the sausages but others in my group liked them. We upgraded that to include fries and there was only a very small amount. We will definitely be back, seems like a great spot for groups!

Start out with a selection of a few pizzas then no to the bacon eggs and a small assortment of breakfast items. A pan of chicken is next which is some of the tastiest fried chicken I've ever had and also had mashed potatoes, gravy, and stuffing, fries were not an option. Next is the salad bar which seemed fresh and had enough variety to make a tasty salad. While no fruit was offered there is a soft serve ice cream machine to finish things off. The service was good with a very attentive staff picking up the empty plates. The restaurant was clean and also has a game room that I can imagine gets a lot of attention on the weekends. Now knowing what to expect I will certainly be back for the fried chicken and possibly on a Thursday when they offer chicken wings in the buffet.

I got the Manhattan off their specialty menu and my husband got their autumn barrel Manhattan. After trying both--highly recommend the one off their specialty menu. It was definitely superior quality. It's served over a block of ice so if you want it up, you may want to mention that when ordering. It tasted more like a classic old fashioned than a Manhattan but I'm not complaining because I love classic bourbon old fashioned cocktails as well. For a starter we got their much raved about bang bang shrimp. It came on a bed of greens and was good! For my dinner I got their seasonal chicken and dumpling soup and a side salad. Both were solid. The salad was definitely more ample than I was expecting. My husband got some sort of salmon alfredo pasta dish that came with roasted asparagus mixed in. I had a bite and he ordered well--it was decadently buttery and delicious. The service was super kind throughout our stay. Our server checked in on us regularly without being overbearing. Get to it!
