Honestly it may not be a big deal to others but it can be annoying when I go out to eat at places and have to explain all the things I need the to do to make sure the food is safe. Went here for lunch with my sister and her two grandkids. Grandkids wanted to go. I enjoyed the build your own pizza. Staff were all very friendly. The pizza was very thin crust and not that filling. I had never been here before and honestly this kind of arrangement for pizza is just not really my cup of tea. The dining area is completely open between tables and not that comfortable. I will recommend MOD Pizza as far as food taste and quality. The service, however was less than desirable. I get that it is hard to get quality employees in this economic environment, but it's harder to get return customers than it is to get a good employee. MOD Pizza: MOD Pizza is relatively new to the area and had been recommended to me by a number of people. The premise of the restaurant is that you can create/modify your own personal pizza with any of their toppings for the same cost. The pizza is also cooked rather quickly (as it's very thin crust), so it's almost like fast food. A similar set-up to Subway can be found when entering the restaurant, where one instructs the employee on the other side of the counter what ingredients/toppings to add to their custom pizza. My creation had an Alfredo sauce base, mushrooms, onions, Canadian bacon, Mozzarella cheese, and Asiago cheese. Overall, I was pleased with the way it tasted. I would go back at some point but wouldn't rush back because of the pricing and I personally prefer a thicker crust. It's about $10 for your personal pizza, which isn't egregious, but I can get larger pies at some of my other go to pizza parlors for around that price. The restaurant was clean, the employees were friendly, and it is appreciated that they offer a wide variety of customizations. It's worth checking out if you're near one, but not necessarily a place I would go out of my way to get. The food is great and service has been mixed. It is often very disorganized and a bit all over the place in the restaurant. I think this is because they seem consistently understaffed. Would be nice if the company could get a few more people on the dinner shift. I worked in food service for almost 20 years and saw many nights like the the other night when they had three people to handle a line out the door and a stack of online orders. It was the worst I'd seen it at this store. I hope they will be granted more support for the busy hours. I noticed the people in the store got priority over online orders and there were some unhappy customers who ordered before me and got food after me. All in all, I like the restaurant environment, music, and food and will continue picking up pizza here. Hope the staffing issue improves because the food is really good! read more

It's been awhile since we had MOD Pizza and im happily surprised when i came back to see that the quality and service has not degraded at all. The pizza was great and i think was definitely worth the price - we really enjoyed making our own pizza and it ended up tasting really good. Our server was great and helped us when she knew we were making up the pizza on the go with fun ideas and recommended a couple of sauces on the side. The place itself feels a bit sad on the inside but they have an outside seating which is nice. Would definitely be back to try new tastes! read more

My husband and I went to MOD at 9:30 pm, since they close at 10pm, to get dinner to go. When we pulled into the parking lot, the "OPEN" sign was turned off. We ended up going across the street to Meijer and getting a frozen pizza instead since we were unable to tell if MOD was open. Having worked in a pizza shop before, I completely understand closing the dining area and starting to clean up 30 minutes before close. However, the open sign being off is not something that should happen until at least 5 minutes before the store closes. I understand mistakes happen, and people have their own lives outside of work. But being confused about if a place is open and having to pivot meal ideas on a dime is not always easy for people. Mod Pizza is a neat place. They have any style pizza for $7.87. You can add things as you see the fun and unique fresh Ingredients in the window as they handmade your pizza or salad in front of you. Then it gets thrown in the their oven. The employees are wonderful greeting us with a happy hello as soon as we entered the door. They all worked together like a well oiled machine to keep the line rolling. Yup, there was a line. By the time we got to the table, went to the beverage area and sat down , shortly our order was ready. 4 different pizzas and cheesy garlic bread too. Nice- we will be back. The only chain pizza that offers anchovies as an option. Also choice of base sauces, this makes the place a cut above the other chains. Ordering ahead online is another plus and parking is easy in front. The workers are pretty good for a corporate chain place and it seems clean. The pizza is fantastic! Like Subway, you choose all of your own toppings. One price for as many toppings as you want. My recommendation is to add extra sauce and cheese - the standard amount is a little less than I prefer. The customer service here is great! Love the pizza and the ability to order whatever toppings you like for one price. Can't give it 5 stars because I placed an online carryout order for a specific pick up time. When I got there it wasn't ready, they did offer me a free shake which was great customer service. They made the shake right away. I then waited another 20 minutes for my order to be ready. My shake had melted and I was not happy having to wait that long. Have ordered carryout 3 times, and each time at least 2 pizzas had toppings that were ordered, but left off. Love that each pizza is marked so you know whose is who, and like that you can save your order as a favorite order to make ordering in the future easier. Pizza is great, fresh ingredients and no charge for toppings. It's tough to beat $10.42 for a beer and 12" pizza any way you want it on Tuesday's. Lot's of toppings, like roasted garlic and Mike's Hot Honey drizzle sauce (amazing). Pizza only takes a few minutes to cook and if you dine in, you can grab salt, pepper, oregano, hot pepper flakes, Parmigiano and/or Sriracha for your table. Depending on the toppings you choose, the pizza can be a bit greasy... Good excuse to add Parmigiano cheese. I placed an order on a Saturday night, the website stated my order would be ready at 7:41pm, I arrived right around the suggested time, they were fairly busy and I was concerned based on reviews that I had made a big mistake by ordering online, I was immediately shown that I didn't make a mistake! I was greeted the second I walked in the door, I told them I had placed an order for pick up, they said it will be ready shortly, at 7:42pm they called my name and handed me my order! So happy to have a MOD location closer to home! What I loved: The pizzas and salads are totally customizable. The ingredients are fresh and tasty and the selection is generous. Bonus points for not nickle and diming customers for toppings - it's one price regardless of toppings! Those little chocolate cakes for dessert are delightful. Their red wine in a can is surprisingly good. It's super family-friendly as well and the small pizzas are the perfect size for every kid to get their own. What I hope will improve with time: Our order came out wrong. We ordered small pizzas to share and were given larges (not a huge problem - hello, leftovers!). My wine came with a glass but my friend's wine came with a plastic cup. It took more than 10 minutes for staff to find extra plates for us so our group could share a big salad. Staff seemed more frazzled than friendly, but they've only been open a week. I'm confident that I'll be updating this review with an extra star next time we visit! read more

We have been here a couple of times, but last night, the pizza was undercooked. With the types of ovens they use, they need to move the pizzas around, and not keep putting new pizzas in the same place as the old ones, or the oven won't heat properly. Same cooking time in same place as other pizzas will cause them to not cook as fast. Our pizzas and cheesy bread were undercooked and doughy. We have been wanting to try one of these restaurants and last week we finally got our chance. All I can say is that I think that this might be my new favorite place for pizza in the Milwaukee area. First off, my wife and I like very different things on our pizza so it is nice that we can have our own personal pizzas and you have total control on toppings and how much you have of each. I really enjoyed the thin crust it was almost like eating it on a cracker. The pizza had great flavor and was just the right size and the price was very reasonable. Tried Mod when I was staying in Oak Creek for business, it had good reviews and was close to the hotel. They have great options for specialty pizza or you can build your own. They also have salads specials or you can build your own, you can even build a salad on top of a pizza and they have tons of topping and sauce choices. I built my own 11 inch pizza with chicken, cilantro, roasted corn, cheese, and a ranch swirl. I also had a small Caesar salad. Because if Covid, they don't have the dinning room open so I opted for delivery., considering it took only 22 minutes from when I placed my order to it getting to my door was only minutes, I was surprised the pizza was only warm. The salad was good and the dressing was flavorful and tasted homemade. The pizza was a huge disappointment, really had no flavor, there was no cilantro, just overall really disappointing. It's the Chipotle of Cheese & Sausage. The Qdoba of California pizza. The Cousins of custom-made pizzas. Like most of the newer "custom made" fast food chains, I'm a big fan. MOD has become one of my favorites, and this location is a solid example of what MOD brings to the table. I think it's a great addition to the Drexel Center development, which is rapidly dragging Oak Creek into the 21st century. I'm a traditionalist when it comes to pizza design, so I usually pick one of the house "standards" and make a few modifications from there. Of course, if you want to make a Cauliflower and corn pizza with white sauce on a gluten free crust, then knock yourself out. You are welcomed to do just that. No judging here. They even have a new "thicker crust" as an option to the original thin, For whatever reason, one of my co-workers wanted cream cheese on her pizza and MOD could not accommodate. No points deducted for that shortcoming. Who the hell wants cream cheese on their pizza? If you've never eaten at a MOD, you'll be surprised what comes out of the oven in three minutes. I'm always impressed, and always happy to come back. This is a particularly large MOD which is great. Lots of windows and very open feeling. However, I didn't appreciate that it felt like the AC was blowing directly on our table. Not cool when it's February and about 15 degrees Fahrenheit outside. Will not be ordering in the future. Ordered pizza with out cheese due to lactose intolerance. One time asked for extra sauce, did not receive. Another time asked and got 3 cups full. This day I got pizza that was cold, and 3/4 of the pizza had a very thin layer of sauce (like taking a brush with thin paint strokes) which makes the pizza dry and this is the second time this happened.
