I love matcha and was looking for a quiet place to get some work done. A friend recommended this place, saying the aesthetic was unmatched. He was so right! It has a unique, minimalist feel, with some both antique and perfectly undone touches. The floor is concrete and it's super echo-y so you definitely need headphones if you want quiet focus-not a bad thing, just a heads up. Also the bathroom is super cute, and everything overall is really clean. The staff were super nice, and service was quick. I went with the nana matcha, which was really good. My only complaint is that the cinnamon on top was a little overpowering. The coffee machine was down, which was unfortunate for my husband but they were up front about it before we started ordering. For matcha I love a traditional but favor ones with bases such as lemonade or coconut water (cloud matcha). I understand that is not going to be at every matcha place but I feel that without those options- they are limited. Just my opinion. Also for my first time there, the woman at the front took my order - didn't give me a chance to select how I wanted my receipt. And then on top of it, forgot to print it for the baristas to make my drink. I was waiting and noticed people were coming in after me and getting their drink first. This new coffee shop replaced where the old Alma Matcha location was. It's still a spacious area with plenty of seating, and some street parking in the back. We went Saturday afternoon and it wasn't busy. They don't have iced cappuccinos (I know, this is a controversial order), so I got an iced vanilla cortado with oat milk. I wasn't a big fan of their vanilla, I think it was homemade? What was nice is that they have a simple syrup by the straws so I was able to add some of that to get my coffee to my preferred sweetness level. After seeing this place on instagram, i knew i had to go so we ordered for a total of 6 people. Upon walking in it looked quite busy but the line wasn't too long. We placed orders for various cheese breads, cinnamon rolls & beverages like matcha and iced coffees. We got everything relatively fast and they provided us with to go cup holders which was great since we didn't have time to dine in. Next time I'd definitely come back here with a friend or even solo to enjoy the ambiance of the interior design. Their service was amazing and super warming! I love the attention to detail. There's also tables where you can get some work done if needed. Decor is top notch. There is merchandise you can also purchase, too. The little tables for puppy treats were adorable and such a special touch. Thank you ladies! The street parking in the back is super nice, but if there is none there, there is a garage a 3 min walk. I don't recommend parking at any establishment there because you WILL get your car booted or towed at YOUR expense so be aware! read more

I came here early on a Wednesday morning. Parking isn't the easiest to find. It's a pretty big place. It was me and one other group of people when I arrived. I love the atmosphere of the place. It's nice and clean cut. Plenty of seating. I decided to order the thanks so Matcha and my good girl. They also had a variety of pastries so I decided to get a cinnamon roll. The thanks so matcha had two different flavors and I couldn't taste either of them in the drink. It is a very strong Matcha, which you can tell by the color of it. The my good girl was topped with the caviar salt, which I thought taste very weird on a drink, but that's just me. The stand out from this visit was the cinnamon roll. It was baked to perfection not too sweet, fluffy and everything you could hope for in a cinnamon roll. If I was to come back here, it would be for that alone. The line was super ling when we went there but it was during the weekend so its okay. First impression is that PTSM is curiously large and sparsely utilized. It's hard not to wonder about the economics of it all, but they clearly had a plan here - and judging by how busy they were on the Saturday afternoon I stopped by, the plan seems to be working. For one thing, they appear to have figured they can successfully charge higher-than-typical prices due to the instagrammability of the place - and judging by the number of patrons walking around with cups in hand and cameras out, that appears to be working as well. They've done a great job with the build, and it truly is a pleasing space. Not being one for fancy beverages, I just got an americano (which was actually normally priced). I liked but didn't love it, but I think this was less a matter of the coffee and more to do with the fact that they don't carry half-and-half, which I typically prefer over milk for dark espresso roasts. Another review here mentions that this isn't a place for hanging out and working, but I would disagree. I found it great for that purpose, provided you can find a spot (there's little seating relative to the space), and you can handle the fact that sound reverberates quite a bit. I'll definitely be back (possibly with a couple packets of coffee cream). read more

This is the place where Alma Matcha used to be so we were excited to go when we heard that Papa thanks so much coffee shop opened here. The interior was the same as we remembered it and it was kept clean despite the high foot traffic. They play loud music here so it felt like a different vibe but in a good way. We tried, "my good girl coffee" which was topped with dehydrated caviar. It sounded different than what we were used to drinking so we decided to give it a shot. The coffee flavor was good but for us it will take some getting used to with the caviar bits flavor between the sips. Fresh caviar on top of sushi, YES! But on our coffee both my fiancée and I weren't sure of what to think. It's definitely an acquired taste so if you aren't feeling adventurous you can skip the caviar. There are parking spaces available but tricky so be prepared to circle the parking lot for spaces. This new shop is where Alma Matcha used to be located when they first popped up with their residency. I parked in a nearby lot, and walked across the street to get to the store. I arrived about 15 minutes after they opened, (needless to say it was empty and I was probably their first customer of the day). The two employees were attentive and friendly. They offered suggestions on which baked good I should get and they let me kin which drinks were the most popular. I knew I wanted a matcha, but was pleasantly surprised at the array of freshly baked goods (they're my favorite). I went with the cheese roll; a sourdough roll with cheese in the folds, and the Thanks So Matcha; a pistachio milk matcha with strawberry & guava puree. The employee who took my order, also warmed up my cheese roll, while the other employee was the barista and made my drink order. I chatted with them a bit while waited, asking questions about the brand and baked goods. The space is beautifully decorated and the vibe is very nice. The music was a bit loud, but the employees can control the volume and will adjust to their liking. The shop also has very cute merchandise for purchase and I love their branding. It's very chic! As for the taste of the items I purchased, I was not a huge fan of the cheese roll. I could tell it was fresh and homemade, but I felt like it was lacking in flavor. While I loved the strawberry guava puree, I did not love the matcha itself. If I were to come back, I would probably try one of their coffees and a different baked good. We came here because we follow the famous YouTube's on social media and we're extremely excited to try it out. The inside is beautifully decorated including the bathroom. The service was excellent! The only issue is the parking. Do not park where the Sherwin Williams is there are two men out there in front of the tag & title company taking pictures of all the vehicle tags to send over to the tow company for pick up. Pretty busy but a lot of movement so tables cleared up in 5-10 min on a Saturday afternoon. Workability: would not attempt. Don't get me wrong, there is a good amount of seating inside but the space is just so big that the seating doesn't fill it up enough. Now for the drinks, both matcha was definitely sooo delicious. I think I chugged mine within five minutes. The coconut one is a signature on their menu and I would get it over and over again if I could. Each matcha was almost $13 which I've never paid for a matcha let alone coffee that expensive in my life, so that was a little crazy. This knocked it down to 4 stars. I tried the Papa Thanks So Much Matcha. Now, I'm a matcha girl but personally not a fan of pistachio milk, oat milk pairs better with matcha for a smoother taste. We were in the area and wanted some coffee and a nibble. PTSM came up as top 3. Upon walking in I made the joke that I felt like I was in the Parthenon . Not in a bad way.
