Be Prepared For A Wait! I waited in line for 15 minutes to order carry-out, and that was going to be 40-45 minutes to get. This place was Packed! My Italian sandwich was good, but definitely lacking sufficient toppings. maybe the pizza is good? I don't eat dairy, so i can't speak for that, but there's a small chance its busy because the restaurant options are slim. Oh man. Not exaggerating to say "best garlic bread" we've ever had. And for $2 . Pizza was moderately priced, pretty dang delicious (had the chicken bacon ranch.) PapaLeno's is doing all the right things to deliver a really good pizza. The crust is particularly good in terms of both texture and taste. I prefer a little more sauce on my pizza than what this one had, but it was nevertheless tasty and I would order it again. read more

I had the spaghetti with marinara and then ordered my daughter the same thing in a kids size and they were literally the exact same size. With a $4 and some change difference. My son had Alfredo and my husband had a 10" pizza and it was $50. Also, the bread was smothered (not in a good way) with garlic butter that was more like just butter. Had dinner there hoping to find good pizza. But had a horrible experience. First the tables we tried to sit at were whipped down but we're still very sticky and reaked of vinegar. Then we were told to sit somewhere else as at 8:15 they had "closed" a section of the restaurant. We may have missed the obscure sign but neither my wife nor I saw it was we sat in the section which also had other people sitting in it. We moved to our new seat despite not being asked and just being told just to then have the workers talk shit about people who do that as if it was on purpose. The staff was extremely rude. The food we got was not good to add injury to insult. Pineapples were definitely from a can and the crust was burnt on the pizza. I could certainly make better pizza myself. 0/10 do not recommend and will not be back. read more

Great Italian, but limited choices for the gluten free folks, but they have started doing a cauliflour pizza crust which is really great. There is not yet a squash or veggie alternative to spaghetti noodles, but I think they will get there eventually. The salads are wonderful and full. The staff are awsome and fun. Just recently tried this little Italian restaurant in the small town of Berea Kentucky nestled near the Boone tavern in the square. Very fairly priced, and very busy. They are not accepting phone in orders, so I placed a takeout order after waiting in a line. You order your food take a number sit down and wait for your food to come. Different set up I'm sure do to COVID restrictions. Food was amazingly delicious though, some of the best carry out I've had. When we first walked in there was a sign that said place order here. We had no clue what to do so we walked up to the counter. The line was long to order but it moved quickly. First time here so we tried multiple items. The meats-meats pizza tasted good. The ham and cheese sub was really good. The. spaghetti and meatballs was okay. The garlic bread is awesome. The chocolate cake is really good. The potato soup was not very tasty too me. If it had some sprinkled cheese and some bacon in it, it would be better. The employees were very friendly and they also give a military discount which is much appreciated. We alway try to make this a stop when we are heading South or coming home from the South. I am very picky when it comes to restaurants. This is one of my favorites.
