What a wonderful family-owned business! We set up with them to remove the trash from our cabin. When we got the first batch ready to go - three days ahead of a scheduled pickup - they pulled the entire family together - grandmother, grandfather, son, daughter-in-law and twin grandchildren and hauled away 2 full trailers of trash. I called Papa's Handy Hauling for the removal of a large brush pile from our property. They said they'd be at my home at 7:30am and they were right on time and they did a great job removing and cleaning up where the pile was. I was quoted a price of 350-550, when they got here they looked it over and said $550 about 3/4 of the way through the job, they came to my door and told me they couldn't get it all in one load and now the price was $750. I did not like the fact they changed the price after they quoted me twice $550 even after they got here and looked at the situation. They were almost done so I had no choice but to pay them the $750. When you quote someone a price and you start the job, you should stand by your word. Don't get me wrong, they did a beautiful job in making sure everything was cleaned up but when you're almost done with the job, Don't change the price. read more

We called Papa's at 7:30 a.m. on a Monday for help removing a large and heavy treadmill from our home. Diana told us they would come over within the hour. They disassembled the equipment (16 big, tight bolts) and carried it outside within 20 minutes! They also removed a trailer load of accumulated junk and took it to the dump. You DO NOT want to use these people. They are unprofessional lying cheats. While moving my elderly parents from Coarsegold to Reno, Tim found some things in the home that he wanted and asked my sister for them. She asked how much he wanted to pay and he said Nothing. They broke the TV stand and said that they would replace it. They replaced it with a used scratched one that wasn't even the correct one. I told them I would send it back and find a stand myself. Diana texted back "That's fine, let me know how much for replacement and postage and I'll send a check today". They moved my parents on Sept. 13th it is now Dec. 1st and after many, many texts and phone messages that have gone unanswered, except for one where she actually told me it was in the mail, (HA!) I have yet to receive my $45.91. I also did not receive a receipt for the payment on delivery. Tim took the check and asked "What's this", I explained that Diana had said payment was due upon delivery and he said, "She handles that stuff I don't know anything about it" and walked off without giving me a receipt. I have never posted a review before and if they had just paid me the measley sum of $45.91 instead of ignoring my texts and phone calls and then lying to me, I probably would have never posted this one. If you do use them, be sure you are present when they load you up or you might come up missing some items and pray that nothing goes wrong because they WILL NOT respond to your messages or texts and they certainly WILL NOT make it right. read more

Papa and his crew are amazing. The crew of three, worked nonstop for hours and then came back for a second round. It was very, very hot, they emptied a house filling one pod and two large storage units. (I know who needs that much stuff?). I scheduled the company for one day and then realized we still had a full house.The company adjusted their schedule so they could come for part of the second day to finish the job. We were able to vacate the house before the end of the month thanks to their flexibility and work ethic. They were professional taking steps to protect our property and house. If you are looking for a company to get the job done look no further. I say this after hiring three different crews in two months to assist with moving furniture due to a family member's death and my family moving cross country. One crew was fired midday because were about to destroy the furniture and the house. No need to instructor or monitor this crew! read more
