I usually go to this place since it's so close to school but yesterday was such a horrible experience for my friend and I; and that's why I'm on here. My friend and I was in a rush to get lunch yesterday because we only had 30mins of break. So we called and ordered ahead and when we got there we were the only customers. But the food wasn't ready yet so we had to wait for about 5mins. After we got the food, we went back to school right away cause we only had about 15mins left of lunch break. When we were about to eat, it turns out our order got messed up, we ordered a shrimp pad thai and a chicken one too. We got the chicken pad thai and a totally different one (my friend said it's called Pad kee Mao) so then my friend and I had to share between 1 pad thai. I called the restaurant and demanded a refund for my pad thai shrimp but the lady had the audacity to give me and attitude and say ''come back here with the food then I'll give you your money back in cash.'' I paid with a card so I don't get why can't they just void it. She talked to me as if it was my fault and if I don't go there, i'm never getting my refund. I seriously don't get how in the world did they messed up our order if there was no other customers in there besides us and this lady's ATTITUDE to respond back to me like that as if it was my fault. Do not come to this place. Their customer service is very bad. They close at 10:00 pm we arrived 9:15 pm (it was just the two of us and we knew what to order) ordered Pad kee mai, mixed vegetables, fried rice and spring rolls. Order placed at 9:20 approx. After the server took our order she took one menu back and i asked her to keep one at our table for dessert. I specifcally mentioned 3 x to her that we were still going to order dessert. At approx 9:45 pm i was trying to get her attention but she wasnt looking towards us. At about 9:50 pm i asked for boxes to pack our food and dessert. (there were still other customers who literally just walked in and ordered food to go) the server got so mad it literally showed on her face it was so obvious her reaction. She said "what?!!! why didnt you tell me this before while ordering?!!" i said "um ma'm i mentioned this many many times thats why i kept the menu" her reply "omggg now i need to go and make it!!! why didnt you mention before?!!". (she also made some angry and rude noises with her mouth) and then i responded politely right away and said "you know what it's fine not needed can we please get the bill?" and she walked away in the kitchen idk why and came back a few seconds later and rudely said "so what do you want me to make it now???" and i said "not at all. Not needed. weve already lost our appetite after the way you spoke to us." and then she huffed and puffed and brought our check to us. i think i was so upset this is the first time i wrote a bad review on a receipt. Even my MOM was so upset and shes very calm usually my mom also wrote on the receipt. Everything was good up until the servers rudeness. Just turned off. Never coming here again. It wasnt the fact that we didnt get the dessert. It was the fact that she was so dam rude and unprofessional. Its not our fault she didnt hear us say we were still going to order dessert literally mentioned it like 3x. The first time I came to this place it was actually not that bad even though we did go on an off time (Saturday afternoon). My friend recommended this place so I tried it with her. We ordered the Roti Prata, the pad ke mao, and the pork larb. The noodles and roti were pretty good but the larb just seemed off to me. I did though like the service as the staff was always checking on us. The second time I came with the friend was a Friday night. I especially picked this place so we will be close to the theatre as we wanted to watch a movie. When we walked in, we were one of only two parties in the restaurant. We ordered the chicken satay and the pad ke mao. It look forever to get our order and longer to get our food as well as boxes. I believe there was only one lady working the front that night and I think she was also helping with the cooking in the back. A piece of a plastic in my noodles it was so disgusting. I went from really enjoying the food to feeling sick. I looked through the rest of the noodles to make sure it was all good and I found another piece! It was more obvious because it was red piece of plastic I was super upset because I had seen so many good reviews and was excited for the food. I can't lie the food was really good but pieces of plastic like that's unacceptable. I would have rather waited a little longer and had my meal prepared with care. I've eaten here on several occasions. Nice laid back ambiance. I tried the papaya salad, Panang curry, & the red Thai curry. The Panang is a little too sweet for my preference but still yummy. I love their papaya salad. It is one of the best I've ever had (tried many different Thai places because it's one of my favorite Thai dishes). It had more of a ramen style noodle, very dry and sticky, and lacked flavor. Next time, I'll stick to a side of rice. 1 Eggplant Veg - this is one of my favorite dishes to order from Thai restaurants, but it was far from the traditional chili and basil flavor explosion; instead, it tasted like butter and oil.
