Since I was already in the area for a nail appointment, I decided to look up the closest studio nearby, and that happened to be the Memorial location. Naturally, my first question was, "What's the parking situation?" Let's be honest--parking in Atlanta can make or break the experience. Thankfully, this location checked that box with ease. The studio is located in the shopping center with Publix and AMC, and there's a free parking garage available. The studio itself is directly across from the garage entrance, so it's only about a two- to three-minute walk depending on where you park. You'll head into the building and take either the elevator or the stairs up to the studio. Overall, it was very easy to find and super convenient. I took a Vinyasa Yin class with Megan, and she was absolutely wonderful. From the moment I walked in, she greeted me with such warmth and genuine kindness. Before class even started, she took the time to ask how my day was, and I immediately felt welcomed. Those little interactions really do make a difference, especially when you're visiting a location for the first time. Her energy throughout the class was just as amazing. She created such a calming, positive environment while still keeping everyone engaged. I found myself thinking halfway through class that I'd absolutely make the drive back just to take another class with her. Although the Memorial location isn't the closest studio to me, I wouldn't hesitate to return if I'm in the area again. Between the convenient parking, welcoming atmosphere, and Megan's incredible instruction, this was a wonderful experience from start to finish.

In Atlanta parking can prove to be difficult or very costly garages, but this location is in the Madison Yards complex and offers ample parking. There's a free parking garage directly across from the entry right next to the AMC. And if you'd like afterwards its not too far of a walk from the beltline and some brunch options. In regards to the space itself, it is very clean and offers lots of natural sunlight. The studio is spacious enough but can get pretty packed during their busy times. If you are new to Highland yoga they do have great newcomer specials to give it a try. This studio is also on Classpass which also seems to be a great value if you're interested in trying different classes and locations.

They also have hatha, candlelight yin, hot flow yoga, and other really amazing classes (not all classes are heated but are equally as great). All instructors are great! They encourage you to go at your own pace and really "dig deep" . (My favs are Sonya , Whitley and Elizabeth ) * rental for mat or yoga/face towel available . Overall: It's really a welcoming space. I love the owners,…read moreMatt and Nick, and I appreciate that they brought their approach to yoga to Atlanta (they also have a studio in Athens.) I have my favorite teachers and work to attend their classes as much as I can. For me, the membership plan is worth it if you can attend at least 6 classes a month. (Some people come every day! Multiple times a day!) I mostly attend Hatha classes but I also enjoy Flow and Super Stretch. The stretch, yin and restorative classes are the most beginner friendly. I've only attended a few warm/hot classes and they are not my jam. However, they are very popular with others! M3 is LGBTQIA friendly and has a policy against racism posted on their website. I haven't seen any other studio display such a message. As a Black woman, I notice when I'm the only Black person in the room, and I appreciate when someone else who looks like me is present and welcome in the space. (I don't want to be the only one y'all!) They have an app to use for scheduling and a very active IG page. They also have contests to encourage class attendance and give good prizes! I won a gift card to a local store and felt so special. The only thing I don't like is the class schedule changing every season. Some classes don't change but I've had to drop some classes because they are on a new day or at a different time. I can't believe that I'm the first person to review M3. It's a great addition to Atlanta yoga and I hope more people sing their praises.

I went to the first class of a six-week beginner course…read more Despite the advertisement that the course would be taught by "authorized ashtanga instructors", the "authorized instructors" were not even in the building - the course was taught by trainees. The bigger problem, however, was that the instruction that we received - including the handouts written by Todd - was overtly sexist. MEN can practice yoga whenever they want at the studio. WOMEN are not allowed to practice during their "moon cycle". This is not only taught and enforced, but there is even a sign on the wall in the entrance to the studio, in case you forgot and showed up on your period. I asked the "trainee instructors" about the no-yoga-on-the-rag rule and they recited some BS about how women's energy flows in a different direction than men. After the first class, I decided not to return and emailed the studio. I told them that I had a fundamental disagreement with participating in an environment that condones sexism and asked for a refund of the fee for the course, minus the cost of the single class that I attended. Not only did Todd refuse to refund ANY of my money, but he actually defended the period rule. Here, I'll quote him (including his misspellings of "menstruation" and "exercise"): "To address your specific concern, the suggestion for women to not practice during their cycle is based in science not theory. A simple google search of 'does intense exersise affect menstration' will lead to a whole list of related articles on the subject." First off, the fact that this man thinks he needs to educate ("mansplain") a woman on the topic of menstruation is problematic in and of itself. Second, it was never presented as a "suggestion". Third and most important, despite his unnamed sources found in the far reaches of the internet, HE IS BLATANTLY WRONG. There is NO scientific support for the idea that a woman should not exercise on her period. You can read this yourself on reputable sites such as womenshealth.gov (the U.S. Office on Women's Health). In fact, many of them specifically cite yoga as being one of the best forms of exercise to do on your period because it can help relieve some of the uncomfortable symptoms such as cramping. According to the Mayo Clinic, one of the "self-care tips if you're experiencing painful periods" says "[p]ractice meditation, yoga or other relaxation techniques." Even for someone who can't spell "exercise", it seems like he should have been able to figure this one out. Nope. I sent a lengthy email explaining everything, but he just ignored it. I filed a dispute with Amex, which he contested. So, yeah, I would not recommend having anything to do with them.

I signed up for a 6am weekday yoga class, and I ended up getting private, one-on-one instruction which was AWESOME. It's been several years since I practiced yoga at all, let alone regularly, and it clearly showed. Who knew you could be embarrassingly inflexible in your toes? Yep, that was me. Even though I was below the level of her typical student, Debra quickly made adaptations to the poses to meet my ability, and tailored the "routine" to what I most needed. It was also one of those quiet but intense workouts. I was sweating by the end, and I know I'll be hurting in places I didn't even know I had muscles. As an instructor, she was the perfect balance of demonstrative and hands-on, coming over to me to make physical corrections to my body when my alignment was not proper. I also liked that she pointed out the health benefits to the poses and the bodily systems of which they supported proper function. All the classes are reservation only, and she'll confirm amazingly quickly with parking instructions and logistical information. Her practice is in her beautiful loft, so it's smaller and more intimate than the big box gyms or "traditional" yoga studios. She caps her class size at four, so while I don't know if I'll be lucky to get one-on-one in the future, I know I won't be crammed into a space with way too many students. You also don't have to worry about bringing mats or blocks - all are provided. All in all, a great yoga practice that is truly for all levels!

Every class is different and she takes every students' needs into account as classes go along. She does an amazing job of explaining what each posture is doing for the body both externally and internally. She pays close attention to each students' alignment to make sure everyone is getting the full benefits of each posture, and is helpful modifying postures for students' based on their individual needs. The studio is beautiful, serene and pleasantly intimate, and she makes everyone feel comfortable whether you've practiced yoga for 20 years or if you've never practiced yoga in your life.

I was pleasantly surprised and happy at how relaxed the atmosphere was in this place. Very nice facility too. They lent me a mat for my initial visit to see if I liked it first. Now I still felt clumsy, but made it through pretty well. Afterwords, they were very supportive and encouraging. Have to say it was a bit of a workout. I think the stretching helped the pain lessen in my lower back. I am not knowledgeable about yoga centers overall, but this was a great experience! They have lots of classes available too. They even have some kind of hot / sweat type classes. I can only say thumbs up, friendly staff, lots of class times and options, incredibly helpful and supportive. Highly Recommend!
