Super cute shop filled with wrapping paper, crafting paper, art pens, puzzles, children's books and plushies, and a bunch of other fun items. I was excited that they had book nook type models kits. To those that are interested in various arts & crafts but are looking for a place other than your typical stationary/gift retailer (and something other than Amazon, Etsy, etc.), "Paper Source" just might have you covered. Located at the upscale Fountains @ Roseville, this particular location has been in operation dating back to mid-2015. Surprisingly, this is a nationwide business with over 125 brick-and-mortar retail stores (as of 2025) but this is the one and only location in the greater Sacramento area. The overall layout and square footage of this place is a pretty decent size. During my visit which was on the afternoon of Sunday 7/27/2025 at around 3:30pm, there were about 2 employees that were helpful and greeted me as soon as I came in. They also have very generous hours of operation being open Monday through Saturday from 10am-8pm and Sunday from 10am-7pm. Not to mention, their website is very impressive with a ton of items that can't be found in their retail stores. Much of the merchandise found here specializes in greeting cards, journals, planners, wedding invitations, announcements, gift wrap, paper craft kits, party supplies, and much more. There are also a ton of novelty items that includes stuffed toys, mugs, and "themed" items depending on what season it is. I came here during the heart of summer so I saw a ton of beachy merchandise throughout the store. The best way to describe the products here is similar to what you will find in a Hallmark Store but on a much different scale. All in all, "Paper Source" is a great above-average alternative to your average arts & crafts store. I saw a ton of interesting merchandise for everyday use as well as products that are more novelty-based. With an eclectic and unique assortment of stationary products, I am giving Paper Source a respectable four-star rating. read more

This was my first time visiting this establishment and I was super impressed. I should probably first say that I go crazy for anything dealing with paper or paper goods or stationary. Walking into the store was amazing! The place is quiet and mimics what would be ideal for someone like me to have materials and to have peace and quiet when beginning a project. Everything is visible and within reach and the customer service was amazing. I walked out with about $50 worth of materials and I do not regret it. I look forward to coming back to seeing the very large selection of goods that are the dream for any stationary fiend like me. read more

Paper Source is a dying breed: it's a beautiful store filled with a huge variety of stationary supplies for invitations, announcements, birthdays, holidays, celebrations and anything else you can think of - plus, you can practically personalize anything using their designer cards, templates, waxes and stamps, ribbons, etc. They also have standard cards, calendars and planners, rubber stamps, inks, greeting cards, wrapping papers, and fun gifts that range from fancy to kitschy. The decor is ever-changing with the holidays and seasons so there is always something new that catches my eye when I visit. I especially love that the staff seem genuinely happy to be working there and I've consistently received friendly, helpful service. read more

This is my happy happy happy place! I was so excited when they finally opened a Paper Source in the Sacramento area. Now I don't have to drive to the bay to go to one of my favorite stores. I love the staff here! Especially a shout out to Jessie and Angel who always make me feel welcome and loved! They just turned the store over from Valentine's to Flowers/Spring and everything is delightful and beautiful. I once again bought way too much stuff!! This is an awesome place to order wedding and party invitations or get help making your own custom invitations. They have an excellent selection of beautiful gift wrap and gift bags. I can always find a present here, and the things needed to wrap it too! They have classes that are reasonably priced and always fun. I buy all my envelopes here because you can get any color and they are very nice quality. FIVE stars all the way!! The store is in the Fountains shopping center across from the Galleria Mall. There is a Peet's coffee nearby and a Jack's Urban Eats across the street. Some street parking is available, or there is also a large lot behind all the stores. read more

This store is a perfect stop & shop for any crafty gifts, ideas or tools you might need. It's like a Michaels but cuter, confined and less stressful. They also offer wedding favors, invitations, & more! The team is very nice, and I absolutely love Jessi!! She is always showing off the newest and cutest items in stock, and has an answer for every crafty question you may have! I visited this store on 10/6/22 in the evening, and the young lady working tonight was super friendly! Possibly one of the best customer service interactions I've had. She went above and beyond with answering questions. I wasn't ready to purchase but based off the interaction, I will be returning soon for their holiday collection. If she's not a manager yet, she should be! About the store: They have really nice gifts, beauty products, pretty wrapping paper and cards, stationary items, and other miscellaneous items. If you are looking for project supplies (like card making or scrapbooking), the selection here is VERY limited. The selection of stamps and tools in VERY limited - you'd be better off going to Michaels or Hobby Lobby. But if you are looking for envelopes - this is the place. This store is adorable! It's filled with unique greeting cards, wrapping paper, scrapbooking goods, and tons of cute gift items. I went wild in there and got a Lilly Pulitzer organizer, ban.do tumbler, and unicorn themed gift items for my cousins. I'm definitely going here to purchase all gifts from now on. I needed an array of cards. Everyone seems to have a summer birthday or something. I have walked past this cute store so many times in the morning with my dogs I decided it was way overdo for me to go inside and check it out. It is well appointed in The Fountains center and I am sure they will do well. First off it's well stocked but easy to walk around in, meaning it's not junky looking. They have quality cards and papers for yes, every occasion without going over the top ridiculous. I love cards. Nice paper . Funny quirky cards . Not the same Ol thing you see at drug stores . Lovely cards . They carry wrapping paper by the sheet. Wow!! That's cool. They have a selection of interesting gifts too. You know what I love about this place- the people! I can shop at Michaels or Joanne's or any craft store for hours and NEVER get asked if I need help. This place is the complete opposite. I'm not crafty by nature so some help is good for me. These ladies here have been heaven sent in the midst of wedding planning. Pam walked me through my invitation order after going in every day for a week before I could decide. Angel has been very helpful to me in all my questions and great ideas. I did order my wedding invitations from them. I cannot wait to receive them next week. I am now working on making my bridal shower invites from the new tools they showed me and taught me how to use. This place has so much to offer from their great product and even better talent in stores. They even offer classes to learn DIY projects. I love it! I feel like I've found my new hobby. read more

I have used this Paper Source store for several months now. Every time I visit, I am always welcomed and asked if I need any assistance. The staff always finds a way to solve my stationary requirements. The store has a very wide array of cards, envelopes, specialty paper, and gifts. They will even wrap your purchases for you. The wrapping is pricey, but the attention to detail is always there. I would recommend this store for those whom are looking to send nice cards, custom stationary, and card stock that will set you aside from others. I went here on a recommendation. They definitely have some beautiful stuff, but as a novice to stationary I felt lost. I went in to get graduation announcements+ceremony inserts and also check out their wedding stuff (as I will be ordering wedding invites next year). The wedding stuff is all in big binders, which makes it easy enough. The lady working with us showed us the wedding stuff while another customer finished up at the kiosk used to order the grad stuff. When it was our turn to use the kiosk, we were handed off to another associate who seemed new. She was very nice, but not very helpful with the selection of styles and wording. I really wanted someone experienced to help me decide how to best phrase the writing and she really didn't do that. She often deferred to the other staff and was constantly asking them how to do different things. I basically picked all the wording myself with the help of my fiancé. After a nightmare of a time selecting the wording, trying to get a picture for the back, etc it was finally ready to go. I purchased the envelopes in the store and was told to wait for a confirmation about the grad announcement/ceremony insert designed on the kiosk to make sure the design would be ok with whoever physically makes them. The next day, the design got kicked back and had to be redone. Although they took care of the part that was the problem, I had to go back in and redo all the wording because the system apparently doesn't save it. I wanted to get it done as quickly as possible, so I was trying to call them on the phone, answer emails, and fix the wording online while at work. I was disappointed. What a pain! They turned out nice, but were a hassle to get approved and finished. The girl who was working with us was quick to reply to emails and had a nice attitude, but other than that was really not much help. On another note, they sent extras of the inserts free of charge because apparently extra had been made. So that's a plus. read more

Wow, the ladies here helped me so much with wrapping a gift. They were patient with me and gave me a lot of ideas for which wrapping paper went well with which ribbon. The wrapping paper I chose was a handmade purple with gold streaks and it came in sheets. Due to this, the ladies told me that they would not align. If you don't like mismatched patterns be careful a lot of their choices will have this problem and the sheets are small! After choosing my paper and ribbon I had them wrap the gift for me ($6-price varies on box size). I forgot the name of the lady wrapping my gift but she did it so meticulously and asked me at nearly every fold if I liked how it looked. I ended up with extra ribbon and she told me I could always bring it back if I ever needed something else to be wrapped! Overall, definitely would come back here again because of the unique handmade papers and great service! read more

Went to get a difficult gift wrapped for the holidays and the lady did a great job, and the price wasn't bad! My sister said it looked flawless when it arrived two states away, so thank you. Store seemed well equipped with selections although I am hardly the person to ask in this field. This is a really cool store. There was a super funny girl that works there that told me sometimes things just fall over when nobody is around so it might be haunted lol but seriously they have really cool books and gifts. Some of the coolest gift paper i've seen i almost wanted to buy sometime but i probably wouldn't use it to wrap anything cos it was so cool. This place is just wonderful. We have been to Papyrus a number of times, and every single time, the shop girls have been unbelievable snotty and unpleasant. Today we went to Paper Source. If you want this kind of thing, but do not want to be treated badly by some uneducated, minimum-wage child, then do not go to Papyrus. Go to Paper Source. Located in The Fountains closer to the "Whole Foods" end of the block ... I LOVE this store and the classes here, rock! I highly recommend checking the classes both for adults and for kids (they have summer-time kids camps). My friend and I recently took a lettering class, specific to this Paper Source, with Kim and it was awesome. It was informative, light-hearted for the beginner to experienced creative type. Not intimating and really fun. So not only is this a cool shop for creative card options, different types of art tools, invitation options, and more - it's also a place to check out for classes.
