What a clean & festive store!!! My daughters & I went 2 look around & that we did!!!! Love the holiday aisles!!! Organized & clean!!! I got some fall flavor coffee pods & a few Christmas gifts!!! It is fun shopping there, even if you do not buy anything. I went in yesterday to pick up a few things and was wearing a colorfully Halloween top on. They are a Christian store, supposed to love each other, but apparently, the cashier did not like my shirt ( no love there). She puckered up like she was sucking on a lemon when she looked at me, no smile, hello, etc. Checked me out, I said thank you, but no reply, I turned around and said you're welcome. Tuesday 9/3/24 was my first time ever in a Hobby Lobby. It did not disappoint! All of the fall decor was 40% off and the Christmas stuff was 50% off. It was a home decor dream come true . Luckily my husband was with me so he was able to rein me in or I would have bought everything. So much cute stuff. Also the jewelry making section was full of such cool pieces to make your own earrings and necklaces. The store was clean and organized and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable on the two occasions I needed to ask questions. Will definitely be back. I love hobby lobby, the downside of that is-so do so many other people lol. The lines are long and do not move fast at all. But they have so much great stuff! That's why everyone is here! The downside I would say is the bathrooms. Could be because they are so busy, but it really just looks dirty and not checked on often enough. The door could use a good scrubbing and disinfecting. 10/22/2020: I need a very fine crochet hook for removing sweater snags, crochet tacking, crochet lace, and also, I needed a seam ripper repairing my clothes and repairing upholstery; ironically, Jo-Ann Fabrics didn't have in their inventory the tiniest crochet hook so, I had to make a special trip purchasing the crochet hook and seam ripper. Aside, this is the second Hobby Lobby I have visited: The first Hobby Lobby I've visited, its location is in Concord CA which took over the Tower Records Store and it's a newer construction building; whereas, I think this Roseville's Hobby Lobby is an older building and the square footage is smaller than the Concord's Hobby Lobby. The Roseville's inventory is repetitive; the upholstery material selection is slim and gaudy while the sewing material really doesn't have a vast selection. read more

Hobby Lobby is great! If you love home decor and doing crafts you'll love this store! They have even more than that, from toys, to flowers, sewing supplies, lamps, floral, so many things I can't list. I feel like this is more than just a hobby store. They always have items at 40 to 50% off and good clearance items. I got a big decorative mirror that was $112. on clearance and only paid $12. The store is huge and it is a great place to just take your time at and shop. Great service and just fun! read more

On May 9, 2025, 1:00, I purchased 2 identical framed wall art. When I got home I realized one was enclosed in glass and the other was not. At about 2:00 I returned to the Roseville Store with both, intending to exchange the wall art w/o the glass enclosure; both were still in its original packaging with price tags. The return line was long so explained to Misty or Missy what happened, showed her both pictures and my receipt, told her was just there to exchange w/o having to get in line. She proceeds to inspect the wall art as if it were the original Mona Lisa, and stated "there's dog hair on this", pointing to a small hair the size of an eyelash. I don't have dogs. Her actions implied I had purchased these awhile ago and was now trying to return it. I referred to my receipt indicating they were purchased a hour ago. She stated I could get the correct framed picture and come back to her. When I returned I informed her there weren't any left and she stated well you will have to get in the long line to return them and walked off. My issue was not the process but her rude, demeaning customer service. A simple I apologize for the inconvenience would have gone a long way. I'm black and Filipino; when I got home I read several reviews about her rude behavior and allegations from customers trying to return items and her allegations accusing them of trying to return used merchandise; several stating her actions were racist. I spoke to the store manager and he apologized profusely which I appreciate but she seems to have a history of this type of behavior, which honestly, did not line up with being a Christian. Susan E. I was falsely accused of shoplifting by the assistant manager Yvette Ferrari and the customer service manager Misty Clark. They called the cops on me and it was humiliating. My sister and I were shopping at Hobby Lobby on Saturday, May 3, 2025, to get decor items for my father's celebration of life. He passed two months ago very tragically and we've been frequenting the store to obtain items for his celebration of life. When we got to Hobby Lobby, we immediately noticed that their loss prevention employee was following us (and he did the last few times we were there too). When we went to look at beads, we noticed another employee was hovering in the same aisle we were in. It made us extremely uncomfortable that we were being followed like criminals by loss prevention and other employees.  When we got to check out, we noticed two managers angrily talking into their work phones by the front doors (Yvette Ferrari and Misty Clark). The behavior of these managers was so erratic that we couldn't help but notice. I also overheard Misty aggressively say "two can play that game." I had no idea what she was talking about at the time, but in hindsight, I can only assume that she was referring to me. After we paid and walked out the front doors, we immediately noticed a cop car was parked in front of the store waiting for someone. Little did we know, they were waiting for me because the assistant manager Yvette Ferrari made a false report to the police about me stealing beads. I was immediately detained by officers. I gave them my ID, offered to let them go through our bags, and consented to being pat down in the parking lot which was incredibly stressful and humiliating. Of course, they didn't find any stolen merchandise on my person or in my bags. After this was confirmed by the officers, they apologized to me multiple times and told me they would have a talk with the assistant manager, Yvette Ferrari, for making false reports due to liability purposes. Immediately following this event, my sister and I went inside to file a complaint and return everything we purchased because we were no longer comfortable supporting this establishment after such an egregious violation. One of the officers came up to me and said he watched the footage where Yvette Ferrari claimed I stole beads and he confirmed I didn't steal anything. Due to the immense stress of being falsely accused of theft, detained, and searched, I started crying and shaking. My sister sent me to the car while she dealt with the complaint and returns. Before I went to the car, Yvette tried apologizing to me. However, when I wasn't around to defend myself, Yvette Ferrari continued to double down in front of my sister and the store manager Jason Pease. Instead of apologizing for making an honest mistake, she continued to insinuate that I did steal something by reiterating over and over that "she knows what she saw." She also lied to Jason Pease about the officer's final determination and told him the cop saw me stealing on the footage. After reading their reviews, I noticed that I was not their first victim. There are also dozens of reviews from customers detailing unpleasant interactions with Misty Clark. I'm appalled that Hobby Lobby has allowed these employees to retain their positions despite making false accusations about innocent customers. Hobby Lobby had been a sanctuary for me, allowing me to find items that are unavailable elsewhere in order to pursue crafts with my sister as a way of healing and dealing with the loss of our father. I'm incredibly upset that that was taken from us so easily by the managers there creating an unsafe environment for customers. The store manager, Jason Pease, spoke to my sister and was extremely kind and attempted to rectify Yvette's mistake by asking how he could help make our weekend better. I love Hobby Lobby but an employee was very rude to me about returns at this location.

There are many things I like about this store including the 50% off sales that will be applied towards half the store , and then the following week or in a couple weeks it switches to the other side of the store. The stuff here is wonderful and good prices. What I don't like is the workers. I had the worse experience that I've probably ever had in my life when it came to the way I was spoken to by a "shift change manager" . That's what I was told she was. I'll be finding out her name to post her name here. She should be ashamed of her behavior towards others. This is an older aged lady, blonde braided hair, glasses. Awful person. While I was already being helped by a wonderful young girl at the register, this manager comes up and starts creating confusion and making some pretty big accusations towards me. I came to price adjust a box of things and had a cart full of other things I was going to buy. She accused me of stealing. I told her to look at the receipt in front of her face that shows these items were already purchased. She refused to look at my receipt. She started raising her voice at me infront of my infant daughter who I was holding and infront of a line of about 10 other people. Extremely Humiliating, and embarrassing experience. I was told she would be spoken to about her behavior that actually brought me to tears, I saw her the next day when I came back for a return, she clearly saw me and never apologized so I doubt anything was done about this. The manager on duty on July 11, 2024 was extremely dismissive of us and showed zero customer service. The checker on duty was wonderful and felt awkward due to her behavior. My mom and I come here often for wedding planning. We've always loved hobby lobby. Unfortunately, I don't think we will come here anymore because of the store manager, "Miss T". She is extremely unkind and unprofessional. It's not just an unfriendly demeanor, she deliberately makes snappy rude remarks that leave my mom and I in shock. At us, at other customers, other coworkers, etc. I was considering applying to work here but now I know if I did I'd be leaving work in tears everyday. I always love shopping at hobby lobby. They have lots of decorations, party supplies and etc. They are closed on sunday.

I came once when they first opened many years ago and hadn't been back until this past holiday season when my friend suggested it as a place to find decorations. Oh my! we were there for HOURS and found lots of gifts too. I thought it was a craft place like Michaels but it is so much more! Great place for household decorative items. Huge holiday section. All at reasonable prices. They do the 'lets mark up everything 50% so we can have a 50% off sale because you know the human psyche loves a deal. They do offer a coupon for 40% or 50% off one item but that is not many because it seems that the whole store is on sale. On the back end of the store is the crafts like Michaels such as paint, yarn, beads etc... The front registers are many and set up like Walmart. Wait time was average. I will definitely be back but need to have at least an hour of free time to make it proper. read more

They carry arts & craft supplies like Michael's but also fun gift items, a plethora of different home decor styles, seasonal items galore. I can almost always find a coupon online. I will warn against 2 things. The lines can be very slow as there cash register system is a little antiquated and most people are using the previously mentioned coupons. So, today, 1114 2022, I stopped in during my lunch to grab three things literally in an hour they cost $1.99 each. I go in they have three registers open and no lie. Today 11/04/2024 i went to return some ornaments bc i changed my theme. Samuel helped me and he was extremely patient. However Angie, the store manager had the worst customer service. She was throwing items into the carts, looked mad, bitter, didnt want to respond to anything samuel asked of her such as doing the override of the returns. She had to do two different returns as i had two different receipts. Both times she was throwing the items into the empty carts. Just overall an unhappy person. I love Hobby Lobby! They are a substantial sized store that sell seasonal, patriotic, Christian, and more specifically Jesus professing home decor. That's practically unheard of in the state of California, however it's located in Placer County, the City of Roseville, where there is still some hope left of patriotic and conservative values. Hobby Lobby is similar to Michael's in carrying some craft items including but not limited to floral arrangement and fabrics but on a slightly smaller scale. They have a very small selection of furniture items like chairs or small bookshelf or nightstand. Their prices are fair. They usually have a sale on something and close to any major holiday have up 40% off on items related to that specific holiday. Talk about great deals!! Their staff is helpful and friendly. This is my go to store for seasonal home decor especially for my favorite seasons Fall and Christmas! read more

I'm a fan of the Hobby Lobby! Remember they are closed on Sundays so get your shopping done on Saturday! GIANT store with a big parking lot. Easy access from Douglas and Sunrise. We shop here all the time. It would be a five star review except that they never have enough checkers... So the line is always long to pay. Not a good situation with Covid when everyone needs to pay and get out! Their holiday selections are always the best in town. ANYTHING for any type of holiday style. When I needed help, I found the manager covering the front end of the store, a middle-age woman who just got back from Hawaii, to be unhelpful. I needed an item and have been all over the store for it, but wasn't having any luck. I couldn't find anyone to ask so I waited in line And asked the cashier who later called the manager. The manager came over and was like ho ho ho hum. Yeah I don't know where those are everything's in such a mess since were moving things around and I just got back from Hawaii so I don't even know. Now, I a disabled person so her approach to helping me solve the problem was not appreciated. I feel like a good manager would've went and found the exact location of the item I was looking for and relayed the information back to me. After all, I had stood in line to ask my question, and then I had to stand in line again after finding the item for myself. read more

One checkout lane open at 10am on a Saturday, I was the 12th person in line...10+ min wait. The "manager" just hovered around the poor lone checker and wandered around drinking from her water bottle...avoiding customers and not bothering to request another checker to open a register. I saw multiple people in blue aprons just talking to people around the store, each other and one in a closet behind the registers looking at stock. When I asked the checker why they didn't open another register, trying to be nice (because she was working her a** off)...she said that they couldn't because all the other staff was auditing. She was sweet and apologetic, but the "manager" couldn't be bothered with us, the customers. On another visit the same week, I was not given the 40% discount that was displayed...Misty, another "manager" said they weren't on sale, with obvious irritation. I didn't want to hold up the line, so I said ok. When I checked afterward, to see how I misread it...another manager came by and agreed with me that it was supposed to be on sale and took me to another register to adjust the sale. This used to be a great place to shop. I will never go back. It has deteriorated. The bathrooms were scary dirty with no seat liners. The worst thing is that they allow employees to smoke right in front of the entrance. They don't care who they kill. It's definitely not when wholesome Christian store I shopped at before. This is only the second Hobby Lobby I've been to in my life (I know, I know), but this one did not disappoint. Looks so plain on the outside, however I felt that it makes Michaels stores (and I'm a fan of them too) look like child's play. I felt like I was inside the Costco of craft stores and home decor. It certainly felt as large as Costco. Extremely overwhelming to browse, but it was organized. They had the Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas decor available for purchase around the store as well. The sale they had that day was great and I picked up some new wall decor and new crafting items. Go online on their website and look at their free coupons listed.
