I was very disappointed in Paper Tiger Document Solutions in Gurnee, IL. They came to my house to shred a large amount of papers and to pick-up some electronics for recycling. I worked out the approximate price ahead of time and confirmed the price with the driver. The bill was double the price we were quoted. When we contacted the owner he was rude and not willing to listen to our concerns. We paid the bill and will not use them again. Cannot recommend this company. read more

Having never needed a service like this I was a little nervous. My salesman Frank assured me that it was going to be done easily and he delivered. I was relieved to see he was right. Paper Tiger was the only company that gave me their best price on the 1st quote. Some others gave me a ridiculous price and then called me to offer discounts to lower their price. There is the one place to call - Paper Tiger Document Solutions. I called this morning and drove my documents to their site - in less than ten minutes, 239 pounds of paperwork (20 years of stuff) went up a conveyor belt and that was it - done and dusted! Extremely friendly staff from the manager, technicians (they actually unloaded the car), to the hero of the day, Debbie Jo...the "go-to very personable - first person you meet lady" at the front desk. This is a great opportunity for residential paper shredding. When you are cleaning out all of your paper files and don't want to shred a huge amount, you could go every second Saturday from 9-1. Their Shred Fest is an easy process of properly discarding personal information . Drive up to the location on the days and time on their website. The workers are always courteous and helpful. If some of the boxes are too heavy they will help you out. Always spend less than $10 to discard a years worth of personal information. It's a satisfying process. read more

Very poor attention to detail, staff was incredibly rude and unprofessional. The woman scoffed at any question we had, was exceedingly impatient, and outright disrespectful. They asked for a contact person and then didn't reach out to that person when they were out for delivery. They got our address completely wrong and were late. They offered no receipt upon pickup. When we called to ask a question about invoice and pricing, the woman was angry that we had questions, she was accusatory, and started insulting our people and our firm. When we spoke to the owner about her behavior he was apathetic and did not even apologize. Absolutely would not recommend doing business with these people. read more

The least expensive means no customer service. First they give me a 90 minute window and promise me a call from the driver when he's 30 minutes out. No driver, no phone call. I contacted the rep who set this up who gave me a 30-40 minutes window and still no driver, no call. I bring everything up from the basement to ground level the night before per their direction, take 2 hours off work only to find they don't do as promised. I guess I'll pay a little more with another company but at least it'll get done. read more

What a service! After calling around to various retail outlets that offer shredding as well as dedicated shredding companies, I was thrilled to be referred to Paper Tiger. Not only did they come pick up my boxes of old business records from my basement--sparing me from the chore of lugging them all upstairs, loading/unloading my car and making several trips to these locales--but also their price was unbelievably reasonable--1/3 the price of many other places. GREATEST RESOURCE FOR SHREDDING DOCUMENTS EITHER ON SITE OR AT THEIR FACILITY!!! I needed to shred about 5 years of documents and wanted to use a Company that would drop off a bin and pick it up a few days later. To my surprise, not one company could or would accommodate me except Paper Tiger! PAPER TIGER WORKED AROUND MY SCHEDULE NOT THEIRS!! I called and made arrangements for two bins to be dropped off for me at a specific time, date and location with the intention of returning the bins to them in a few days. To my dismay, I had so many documents there was no way I was going to finish by the time I had told time to pick up the bins; so I got on the phone, called Paper Tiger, explained my situation and they were SO EASY-GOING ABOUT MY NEED FOR MORE TIME and told me to call when I was ready to have the bins picked up. They also offer to shred the your documents right there in front of you (for a minimal extra charge) or they will haul it away and shred it at their warehouse. Great local source for Shredding. I called several places and asked about containers for a Spring cleaning event in my office. Mostly these companies wanted to push me into contracts and tried to convince me that we needed a service. Paper Tiger is right around the corner here in Gurnee. They dropped off 3 95 Gal totes with locked lids and a key then scooped them up at the end of the week. It was so convenient. I have now also hired them to do on-site shredding for more confidential documents such as those from Human Resources. Their rates are good and everyone I've had contact with is very nice.
