Nothing to be up in arms about, UNTIL I SAW THE XRAYS. JEEBUS LORD. There was a crap root canal done, first of all. Mossy importantly though, there wad this weird, cockeyed SCREW (like, aaaaaan actual SCREW) in the root bed. That was what the enormous and righteously painful abcess had formed around. What the ACTUAL. My new dentist was dumbfounded. Super professional, trying not to speak poorly of a cohort...but he went to explain it and had nothing. Spo hee redid the root canal (yaaaaaaaaaaay!), removed the rogue hardware and now I'm dandy. But over a grand more poor, and as a single mom that blows goats. Needless to say, I do NOT recommend this guy anymore.

However, after having both a dental bridge, a root canal and multiple fillings, I can say that the dentist no longer terrifies me like it did before I came to this office. I still dislike having my teeth worked on, but knowing that I won't be in pain while i'm having my teeth done is a great comfort. Doctor Granger is calm, gentle, has great chairside manners, and truly cares about how you feel while you're getting your treatments done. He checks in to make sure that you're not in pain while he's working on you. He takes time to answer any questions that you might have before and after the procedure. He is realistic, kind, and does not hurry you along. His office is minimalistic and cozy. The receptionists are always friendly and greet you warmly. His assistants are outstanding, gentle and take the time to get to know you on a personal level. If you're someone with dental anxiety, you can rest assured that Granger and his assistants will be conscious of your fears, will assure you that YOU'RE the one in control and can stop if you're uncomfortable, will provide you with sedation if need be, and will make sure that you're not in any pain.

So, I went online looking for a Dentist who cared and found Dr. Dexter McRae. Dr. Dexter McRae, his Dental Assistant and their Front Office Staff are great. The Office is extremely clean and it is obvious that they care about their patients. They are highly skilled and use the very latest in technology. He replaced a filling that had fallen out so quickly and with absolutely no pain that I decided that he had to now be my new Dentist. Highly recommended!

Kim is always very attentive and knowledge with any insurance information I may have. One time I had an emergency and she made it possible for Dr. Doerrer to fix my problem. The hygienist are both very kind, everytime I go for a cleaning they educate me with everything going on and give me great tips on making sure I keep up with my hygiene. Dr Doerrer himself is awesome! He always asks about my family. I can tell that he truly loves what he does. That he cares about whats happening and makes sure I understand my options. He isn't pushy about treatment but instead educated me about what was going on and the worst case scenario if I don't follow up with treatment. His assistants are very gentle and understanding. Office is a little hard to find because it's a home office that isn't facing enterprise road directly. But they have plenty of parking! Very nice office. Dr.Doerrer will always be my family dentist! I would not recommend this office for dental care. I had 3 appointments since moving to this area…read moreand finding a new dentist (1 for my initial exam, 2nd was my first cleaning, and a 3rd for my 2nd cleaning appt). The first appointment for my initial exam had to be rescheduled because whoever I talked to in the office didn't actually schedule my appointment when I initially called. The appointment for my first cleaning went ok, but the cleaning was not as thorough as I'm used to from other practices. The 3rd appointment/2nd cleaning was scheduled for today. I didn't receive confirmation so I wasn't sure if I still had an appointment but showed up to the location anyway. Come to find out the Glenarden location closed! However, no heads up from the office nor did their other location reach out to help with continuity of care. I'm not sure if the other location is still open but overall very unprofessional experience and I'm looking forward to finding a new dentist.
