Despite that, the order still wasn't ready at the agreed-upon pickup time and was pushed back another 30 minutes. The lack of time management and communication is unacceptable. When a customer gives a restaurant four hours' notice, there should be more than enough time to properly plan and execute the order. Unfortunately, this experience reflects poorly on the management and ownership. It gives the impression that customer service and respecting customers' time simply aren't priorities. More importantly, it's disappointing that the employees don't appear to have been properly trained or given the tools needed to manage orders and pickup times effectively. First time here, and unfortunately, it will be my last. I won't be returning or recommending this restaurant to others. If you are single with all the time to waste then by all means go, but a working family just trying to get dinner for the family I should have went to my go tos like Crust Pizza, Marcos, or Pizza Hut.

You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. Only saw 1 person at the counter and she was very friendly but I was a little thrown when the kids drink that comes with the meal is fountain drinks only but there's no option for juices. All were sodas and the Fanta orange was not mixed right and tasted sour so we were forced to use tea. Definitely would suggest being able to get a lemonade bottle in place of sodas for kids or bringing in a juice option. Loved the complimentary bread that dipped well with the sauce of my Sorrento dish but I would certainly suggest a dipping sauce to go with the bread but it was still a nice touch. Our adult entrees were plentiful and full of flavor. I loved the capers and mushroom mix in my Sorrento dish. Shrimp portions are skimpy but for the price can't complain. We were a little disappointed with the portion received for the kids butter noodles. Thankfully our child loaded up on the bread.

Disappointing experience and definitely not worth the price…read more This was our first time trying Marvinos, and unfortunately, I can say we will not be coming back. We were seated quickly and ordered our food shortly after arriving. However, it took over an hour for our food to come out. During that entire time, no one came by to check on us or give us an update. We could see several waiters standing around talking, which made the lack of attention even more frustrating. Eventually, a waiter came by and asked what we were waiting for. I told him we had been waiting for our food for over an hour. He went to check on it and came back saying it would be "two more minutes." I ordered the 12 oz American Wagyu New York Strip, medium, with mashed potatoes. I have never had to wait that long for a steak, especially at this price point. When the food finally arrived, the steak was extremely disappointing. I ordered my steak medium, but it came out very unevenly cooked. Parts were closer to well-done while other sections were still medium-rare. Only about a third actually being medium. It was also tough and lacked flavor. After waiting over an hour, I expected much better. The mashed potatoes were actually good and probably the only part of the meal I really enjoyed. For dessert, I ordered the tiramisu. It was okay, but nothing particularly memorable or worth mentioning. We also witnessed a very concerning situation at the table next to us. Their left over food had apparently been lost, and when it was brought back out, they were given someone else's leftovers. The customer immediately pointed out that it wasn't his food, and the restaurant had to make him a new meal because he understandably hadn't touched it. Overall, we paid about $155 for two, and for that price, I expected a much better experience, especially in terms of service, food quality, and attention to detail. Unfortunately, the long wait, poorly cooked and tough steak, lack of service, and the situation we witnessed with another customer made the experience very disappointing. Definitely not worth the money or time.

The parking is a little tight so I would suggest going earlier to when they open up. It seems like its very community like there most of the customers seemed to know each other as well as the owner. So when I entered in (looking somewhat lost) the owner was kind enough to walk me through what was where and answer any questions I had. The fresh eggs and bacon were enough for me to come out again however they have so much selection fresh veggies, beef bacon (didn't even know that was a thing). The site is on the main page so I would suggest checking that out ahead of making your trip out here. The owner and staff were engaging and helped me with my selections. The staff was helpful and patient with all my questions which made it easier to make selections and make hurried choices. If you want to try out some fresh farm food I highly recommend Victoria's Natural Market especially the bone chicken broth (they have a beef broth), bacon, and farm eggs.

Bread, charcuterie board, salad, and salmon were soooo good. The only thing I don't recommend is the lemonade. It wasn't very lemon flavored. My usual order from the menu when we dine in is the Pappardelle alla Bolognese, my comfort dish and the one authentic recipe I'm proudest of making at home. I'm Italian, raised in a working class, Italian immigrant community very far from Texas. There aren't many options for Italian food in Houston (pretty sure I've tried them all) and this is the only Italian restaurant that truly tastes like the flavors I grew up with. Like my Nonna used to make. Even though the owners aren't Italian, Peruvian I believe, they honor the flavors and traditions better than most places that claim to be. They care enough to get the flavors right and pay real homage to my culture. That means something. It tastes like my Nonna's cooking -- and that's the highest compliment I can give. A tavola non s'invecchia.
