This is truly a hole-in-the-wall Italian restaurant--and an absolute gem. We regularly dine at Michelin-star restaurants, and this place genuinely holds its own where it matters most: flavor. The sauces are magnificent--rich, balanced, and clearly made with care. Every bite tastes intentional. The chipotle chicken pasta is outstanding, with a perfect blend of heat and depth, and the Pasta Nathan (seafood fettuccine) is exceptional--fresh, generous with seafood, and beautifully coated in sauce. Unpretentious, comforting, and seriously delicious. If you appreciate great food without the hype, this spot is a must. Highly recommended.

Great little local place, Meatball pizza was great, the chicken Cesar salad was delicious. The Chocolate Mousse Cake was over the top. Nice and clean place. Across the street from the house so that is awesome. We will definitely be back!

I've visited this restaurant about 5-6 years ago and wrote a 3 star review that has disappeared. For some reason the oldest review here only goes back 3 years so I'm not sure if this business closed and then reopened? It's been here longer than that. The only reason I came back was due to the high reviews on Yelp currently showing 179 reviews with a 4.5 star average! I came for dinner a few nights ago and parked in front of Hailey's in the strip center parking lot. Inside it's a medium size one room restaurant with seats for about 30-35 people. Upon entering you are seated at a table by a waitress and presented a menu and then told to order at the counter when ready!? After looking at the menu and noticing many items from my previous visit by their name I chose the Pasta Nathan for $17 and added a side salad for another $5. They offer self serve fountain drinks along with a cooler of bottled soft drinks. I went to get my drink from the fountain and then grabbed some utensils and went back to my table., First to arrive was the salad and some complimentary bread. I must say the salad was very fresh with romaine lettuce, carrot strips, croutons and grated cheese with a vinaigrette dressing and it was very good (4). The entree followed in about 10 minutes and looked very attractive in its bowl. It had sautéed shrimp, mushrooms, diced tomatoes and spinach in a creamy lemon butter sauce over fettuccine. It also was very good taste wise and I appreciated the large shrimp. With the bread slices that creamy lemon butter sauce was delicious. This dish taste wise was a 4 too. To the negative: the dining room is uninspiring and it's counter service with a fountain drink dispenser that only serves soft drinks and pre made sweetened tea (yuk) and some bottle soft drinks available too. Also, I think the salad should be either less cost or complimentary with the entree. My dinner cost $26 and I felt it should have been less.? To the positive: the food was a 4. Even though I really liked the food I'm not in a rush to return. This restaurant needs to move to a more attractive location that gives it a better interior and consider becoming a table service establishment. Therefore I give a 3 score overall.

Little quaint place. Everything was fresh, and the service was good. I'm just used to a little more flavor in my food. The red sauce just tasted like tomato sauce to me.

Our little kids were craving Italian food and we decided to give this place a shot. The girls working were very friendly. We ordered garlic bread, chicken Marsala, ravioli and a kids pizza. The pizza was good but the rest of the food tasted like a microwave dinner you can buy at the store. There was nothing great or unique about any of the dishes.

Ordered from Door Dash. Food arrived piping hot! We ordered the Chicken Parm and Reyes Chipotle Pasta. The Chicken Parm was just okay. I think it would be better eaten at the restaurant when shelter in place is over. I find that is the case for anything fried and delivered. It just loses the crispness from the steam in the container. The real winner was the Reyes Chipotle pasta. It is very similar the one at Cheesecake Factory, but more flavorful. My husband said it is better than Cheesecake Factory and it is his favorite dish there. I can't wait to try other dishes when we are able to eat at restaurants again. It is right down the street from our neighborhood. Yay!

The parking is a little tight so I would suggest going earlier to when they open up. It seems like its very community like there most of the customers seemed to know each other as well as the owner. So when I entered in (looking somewhat lost) the owner was kind enough to walk me through what was where and answer any questions I had. The fresh eggs and bacon were enough for me to come out again however they have so much selection fresh veggies, beef bacon (didn't even know that was a thing). The site is on the main page so I would suggest checking that out ahead of making your trip out here. The owner and staff were engaging and helped me with my selections. The staff was helpful and patient with all my questions which made it easier to make selections and make hurried choices. This review is long overdue. I ordered Mezzanotte on DoorDash last night -- the spaghetti and…read moremeatballs, which arrived perfectly al dente -- and it reminded me why this place means so much to me. My usual order from the menu when we dine in is the Pappardelle alla Bolognese, my comfort dish and the one authentic recipe I'm proudest of making at home. I'm Italian, raised in a working class, Italian immigrant community very far from Texas. There aren't many options for Italian food in Houston (pretty sure I've tried them all) and this is the only Italian restaurant that truly tastes like the flavors I grew up with. Like my Nonna used to make. Even though the owners aren't Italian, Peruvian I believe, they honor the flavors and traditions better than most places that claim to be. They care enough to get the flavors right and pay real homage to my culture. That means something. It tastes like my Nonna's cooking -- and that's the highest compliment I can give. The woman who greeted us upon arrival was super friendly and gave us a great warm welcoming, perhaps she was the owner or manager, she had us choose wherever we would like to since they just opened, which was nice. The service itself wasn't the best, it was my friend's birthday and the server interrupted us over seven times in the middle of our conversation to ask if we were ready or if she could move the dishes out of the way, which she could've done easily without asking. Since we were the only ones in the restaurant at the time, it would be easy to see if we were ready to order, maybe it was our waitresses first time, I'm not sure. I asked if I could substitute the pasta which came with the mahi mahi with a side salad and they weren't able to do that, that they could not substitute the pasta side for a salad. I instead tried to order the caesar salad with filet and she said she couldn't do that either, and that it would be "very expensive" if I did order a filet on the side, which I wouldn't have minded paying for? A good filet is worth the price, but she steered me away from that. I ordered the lentil soup instead and it was delicious, but it came piping hot and had to wait about 10-15 minutes for it to cool to be able to eat it, and by that time, my friends were almost done with their dishes. :( The calamari was a delicious appetizer, very light and crispy and the dip was yummy too, I would order this again and highly recommend. I tried my friend's dishes, and they were also incredibly tasty. I don't think I would come back here solely based on the continuous interruptions of our conversation numerous times, it was quite frustrating and it made the restaurant seem far more casual than it initially seemed.
