Either they don't know the difference of they think the customers are so dumb that they cannot see the difference between lamb and goat. This place is a take out place. This is the second time I ordered Vegetable Biryani to-go from this place. The taste was okay but the portion is VERY SMALL for $13. Just enough for a hungry 7 year old kid. Not even a teen. I cant imagine how much profit these guys are making on each order. At least $9 profit in my opinion. This is a rip off place. The Chilly Paneer appetiser was good,Gobi Manchurian appetiser was average. The Paneer Tikka Masala was a Malai Kofta gravy with conservative amounts of Paneer. Veg Dum Biryani wasn't exactly a Dum Biryani and taste was average. My non-veg companions said the Murg Tangdi was more of colour and no salt in the Chicken. The serving time between order and any dish including desserts took 45 minutes. For a 1 hour journey from SF with an additional 3 hours and average food. The scarcity of workforce added further woe. Just stopped in here for dinner with my husband and toddler. We ordered an appetizer of Chicken Tikka - it was spicier than I expected and heavily garnished with red onion and cilantro. I had to cut off the spicy parts for my son, but he enjoyed it. My husband and I also ordered the Chicken Biryani & Butter Chicken with 3 naan. Butter chicken was more tomato paste than butter. Would NOT order that again. However, the Chicken Biryani was amazing! Played beautifully, spices were used generously, and it offered a strong blend of flavor. Chicken was hidden underneath, traditional style. Service was prompt and attentive. However, no one seemed to have a strong command of English and there were more than a few misunderstandings. This is one of my favorite places for the authentic Indian biryani! The spices are just right and is our go to place for any take out or eat in days for spicy Indian food! Came here on the weekend with my boyfriend. We were greeted, ordered our food, and clearly stated that it was to dine in and not take out or pick up. Once the food was ready, we noticed that they packed in a to go bag. My boyfriend politely told them that I was for here and they flat out refused to give us plates. After my boyfriend walked away, I walked to the front and asked them for plates. They guy then told me that the kitchen was closed. Well that's fine because I just want a PLATE. I proceeded to tell him that we would continue to sit and eat with our to go plates (mind you no utensils were provided). After they realized that we were not going to leave and we were going to continue to eat in their restaurant like every other paying customer, he brought over plates, water and utensils with out saying a word. This is the worse service I've received, all while watching the other guests being treated with respect and catered to. This review is solely based on take out because ya know... covid. Paradise chicken curry, butter chicken and chicken tikka masala and unfortunately none of them really punched through the flavor that other restaurants are able to showcase. They didn't even provide much of the typical aromatics that competitors can. That being said I can't say that they tasted bad, just not great and nothing to make me order again. Garlic naan and butter / plain naan we're both packaged together which is no biggie for me but typically it should be packaged separately right? Didn't matter much as the garlic was just as bland and basic as the butter naan. I'm being generous with my star rating because I can't genuinely rate everything about the business and I know that take out / delivery isn't the best representation of what a business can do (even though I know it shouldn't be any different.) I definitely won't order take out or delivery from here and I'd be hard pressed to make a special trip out here to see what an in person experience would be like. This should have been a 2 star review but again I need to be somewhat forgiving. So take this review with a grain of salt. read more

Ordered a mutton biryani, paneer tikka Masala and butter naan over the phone at 7:25 last week. I was told that the biryani will take some time, approximately 25-30 minutes. So, we reached the place around 8:10 for the pick up, but we were made to wait till 8:45. I mean, the wait was killing me and my husband after a tiring day. And this has happened before also, but we ignored it thinking it was just this one time and won't happen again. It would have been so much better if they had told us the correct time. This review is both about service and food. We ordered three dishes out of which two dishes came incorrectly. When we asked the person helping with delivering our orders he insists that he sees only the item that he delivered being ordered. The person who took our order was not around, so the person who delivered our order was not ready to change it. Today was my second time eating from this restaurant. The first time I ordered from here a few months ago and I thought it was decent. I ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken, and butter naan both times. Today, both types of chicken I ordered were unreasonably spicy and I usually love hot food. I didn't specify spicy in my order so I assume that it was regular, which is insane. In addition to my entire mouth burning, the only other flavors I could taste in the sauce were Kaffir leaves and palm sugar. The chicken that was in the dish would have been good by itself. Please do not visit this establishment! This restaurant has their hours listed on the door as opening for dinner at 5:30pm on Monday. I showed up at 5:36 and tried opening the doors but they were still locked. There were two men who looked up and clearly saw me trying to open the door. I then reviewed the times again to make sure I wasn't too early and I wasn't. The neon "Open" sign was also flashing. I stood there for a minute and no one even bothered to try and help me. This is a HUGE disappointment as I live in the community above the restaurants. I will never visit this place again and plan to tell others to also stay away. There are too many options for Indian food in the area so they will not be missed! Would give them less than 1 star if it were an option. read more

The food is not very good: Everything with "65" has the same spices, whether vegetarian or non-vegetarian and too salty dressing, it is so bad that one can almost no longer taste the actual main ingredient. We asked the server to make the main course less spicy after we got one appetizer but he said that is not possible... This of course opens the question, if they already have pre-made all the food and just warm it up for their guests? Moreover, they did not bring out the food in order: we got parts of the main dish with the appetizers and without service spoons! As a result our rice got cold by the time the other dishes came. Although the server repeated to us what we wanted to order, they screwed up our appetizer order. Worst, there was a blame game between the servers as to who screwed up.
