This was our third visit, and we really enjoy the Goat Ghee Biryani. We always order it to go, and the container is generously filled with rice, tender goat meat, and even an egg. It offers great value for the price, and we appreciate the consistently generous portions. The flavor is excellent, and although it is typically quite spicy, the last two times we called and requested a milder version, they were happy to accommodate us. We have enjoyed it every time and look forward to returning.

Dal tadka is very very spicy. Warning.

I had some chai tea. It was very good. There are 2 of these restaurants next to each other. One is vegetarian and the other is not. There was no Navrattan Korma at either of them. The meat one has a lunch combo but no one speaks English so I ended up with a meal I didn't like and was too spicy. Probably won't go back. (Heard the tikka isn't spicy idk).

Highly recommend for the dessert alone. Melts in your mouth and the flavors are spot on. Moist and delicious not too sweet it's simply perfection. I enjoyed the chicken and lamb Kebobs and the shrimp biryani was really good as well. They have a large dining area and self service for water which is very convenient. Highly recommend.

Indian eatery in Dublin-San Ramon area that serves excellent biryani. I met an old friend and colleague here for lunch today and we ordered the Goat Ghee Roast Biryani ($15.99) which is one of their specialties. We also ordered the saag paneer (usually mild) with naan to hedge our bets and get some healthy veggies into our system! The place is quite bare bones from a décor perspective as it is mostly a takeout joint, but we seated ourselves at one of the few tables and my friend grabbed a pitcher of water and a couple of plastic cups. The food arrived quickly - served in compostable serving ware, and the plates were also compostable. But the serving spoons and forks were plastic, strangely enough. The food was spicier than I expected. The saag paneer was flavorful and enjoyable once I learned to fish out the large chili peppers from it. The biryani was excellent (thankfully it was not as spicy as the saag paneer), with big chunks of goat curry, but it was a bit on the oily side. We discarded the plastic-ware, compostable plates and food scraps, and other waste in the SINGLE waste bin, hoping they would sort this out later. They need to have separate plastic waste, green waste, and landfill waste bins as a minimum. Will likely do takeout in the future if I feel like having some biryani. Then I can eat and recycle without guilt.

Stopped by specifically for takeaway without any previous recommendations or any idea about this venue beforehand, purely chosen for its convenience to where I happened to be .... and the efficiency, value and flavors did not disappoint! It is located in an outdoor mall, no outdoor seating but ample space ... somewhat generic non-decored space inside. Free chai tea sample while waiting! The interior is very commercial and practical, presenting items in standard and family sizes, including curries, biryani and other goodies. Based on elaborate displays, apparently cakes and other eggless treats were on offer too! On a Friday night, lots of patrons, each waiting their turn... We ordered takeaway.... butter chicken, saag paneer and best of all lamb biryani. We also had garlic and butter naans and condiments. My 3 item order was prompt... and ready to take home. The portions were generous and the flavors were spot on! Great food at a decent price with obliging and efficient service!

Ordered from Biryani Junction on Grubhub and was pleasantly surprised by the portion sizes and taste of all the items! We ordered: paneer biryani, veg biryani, lamb biryani, gobi manchurian and chili corn. The biryani was quite spicy (dry heat) but it was nicely cooled down with the accompanying raita. Would order from here again!

We came here on a Sunday at 5PM with a party of 4 to celebrate my father-in-law's birthday. We were…read morethe only party there when we arrived, and there were only about 3 tables total by the time we left, so it definitely felt empty for a weekend evening. First, the interior is beautiful. Whoever redid the old Coco Cabana space did an incredible job- every detail took my breath away. Dublin doesn't have many restaurants this upscale/chic, so it was a nice change of pace. The menu pulls from all different regions of India and plates everything in a really modern, elevated way. Our favorites were the pappad, chicken saoji, butter chicken, garlic naan, and payasam. What we ordered: - Papdi chaat (tableside, $42): So fun and unique to watch them make it tableside, and it tasted good, but $42 for a bowl of chaat felt steep. Realistically I'd pay $27-28 for this. The frozen yogurt in dry ice was a cool visual but honestly it would've tasted better as regular yogurt. - 3 types of chicken tikka masala ($22): Everyone else liked it but I thought the chicken was nothing special. Portion-wise, best for 2 people. It was awkward to cut each of the 3 flavors of chicken thigh into portions. - Pappad and chutney ($14): I LOVE papad with tamarind chutney and their basket had a nice variety of papad. Definitely recommend this one. - Laal Maas ($38): Didn't try it myself but heard it was extremely spicy and the goat was overly fatty. Wouldn't recommend based on the feedback from the table. - Chicken saoji ($34): Chicken and egg in a thick coconut sauce- a crowd pleaser, great if you love coconut curry. - Butter chicken ($32): I liked this a lot. Paired with their garlic naan (some of the best garlic naan I've ever had), it is crazy together. - Payasam ($15): My father-in-law's favorite item of the night similar to kheer seviyan with crispy fried vermicelli mixed into rice pudding. So, so good. We've been to upscale Indian restaurants in the Bay that have disappointed with beautiful interiors and lackluster food. Overall this was some of the best upscale Indian food we've had in the Bay, and the interior is genuinely gorgeous...but let's talk about the elephant in the room: this restaurant is in a Safeway shopping complex in suburban Dublin, nearby a Dave's Hot Chicken. It's a strange juxtaposition for a spot charging these prices. We spent $400 for 4 people, and while every dish was well-executed, the setting made it hard to justify fine-dining-level pricing. We also dined in a mostly empty restaurant on a weekend evening with club/house music playing throughout, which added to the disconnect between the price point and the actual experience. 5 stars for food and interior, but knocking off a star because the fine dining price tag doesn't match the suburban plaza setting.

The restaurant is high end and the service and ambiance are great. But if we talk about the food…read moreit's very good but does not meet the quality of the service and ambiance. The taste and quality are good but the quantity is very less. For the price point a costumer should get a lot more. We ordered the chicken tikka trio, it has alot of potential but u only get 3 small chicken nuggets size portion for $28. That is kind of unacceptable. You can go to Pippal for its ambience and good service, but you will need to order more than you usually do or you will go home hungry!

We only ordered 1 item because i was a bit put off by the service for a ToGo order. The waiter carried on a LOUD conversation with the other clerk in their language. I felt no opportunity to ask about another dish or appetizers. The restaurant was rather loud with several conversations and laughter going on loudly amongst the young male employees - seemed like they were the owners. As I mentioned, the Butter Chicken was good,, but so is the Butter Chicken from Trader Joe's at 1/4 the price. Conveniently located,, but im not sure I would return,, with another NEW Indian restaurant opening across the freeway ( near SPROUTS).

This alone told me this restaurant was going to be great. The clove was an absolutely outstanding restaurant. Every single thing we got exceeded expectations. The price is also extremely reasonable and the servings are massive. The customer service is also very good. We chose this restaurant because we were looking for a place that could make Jain food for my Nani. I was delightfully surprised to see just how accommodating they are and how much of the menu can be made jain! Matar paratha - not something you see on the menu too often! My Nani ordered this and it was SO good! The peas provided a very fresh flavor, and truly reminded us of something we would eat at home. Dosa - insanely big. The filling was very good, and the sambar was probably one of the best ones I've ever had. Thali- it's not often that you find a thali in which every single dish is good. In this one, though every dish was so flavorful and so good. It was a great introduction to the food at the restaurant. Soya chaap- it was my first time having this because it's also one of those things you don't find on the menu often. It was delicious though, the sauce was tangy and had just a touch a spice to it. Overall, the food was very good. It was spicy in a way that isn't in your face. We truly loved all the food we got and the whole experience. It is very rare that my Nani actually enjoys what she gets at a restaurant, but the clove was so good that my Nani was asking if we can come back to the next day. The clove provides food that reminds you of home. while the restaurant has more of a modern feel to it, the service and food make it feel homey. Every waitress we interacted with was rude, unfriendly, and completely unwelcoming. Not a single smile, no warmth, no hospitality, and they made the entire experience uncomfortable. For an Indian restaurant, where hospitality should be such an important part of the experience, this was especially disappointing. There are plenty of Indian restaurants that offer much better food, better service, and better prices. Save your money and go somewhere else. I would never come back to this restaurant and definitely would not recommend it.
