I found the owner was extremely rude. I dropped off some of my wife's clothes. My wife later informed me I dropped off wrong clothes. The ones I dropped off were for Goodwill. So I went back asking for clothes back and refund. She reluctantly refunded me after I explained my mix up and apologized. She couldn't have been any more rude and told me to never come back. She said she has over 7000 customers and nobody complain to her. I find that impossible. She also told me to never come back. No problem I would never step foot in that place again. read more

After being long time customers, we are customers no longer. I guess we're lucky, but we've never had anything ruined by dry cleaners ever, until last week when paradise cleaners ruined a tie. They are so nice to their customers until something goes wrong, then they write you off like you don't matter and they have plenty of other customers. They will not take responsibility at all, and shift the blame on the manufacturer. This tie has been dry cleaned several times in the past without problems, so not sure how it could be anyone else's fault. Just apologize and own your mistake. So disappointed in the complete lack of customer service, when we the customers did nothing wrong. read more

I have been taking my shirts and other items I dare not try and clean to Paradise Cleaners for the past 7 years. While it has changed owners in that time, the women who work the front have stayed the same. Advantages: they do good work, there are rarely and issues (broken buttons, etc), they remember you. Disadvantages: they're not open Sundays and they don't take American Express. read more

You know how when you start using a service, and that service is very good everytime you use it, so much so that it's now your weekly routine? Paradise Cleaners is just that. I can't imagine going anywhere else, and I don't think I will trust anyone else with my drycleaning. The price is fine and even though they are not open on Sundays, that's fine, I go on Saturdays I've been going there for as long as they've been open, and have followed them through each of their moves. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Long time customers of this dry cleaners; I was dumbfounded when the owner, Oak, told me that she needs payment up front from us which I was a little surprised with but was fine because they always did a good job with the dry cleaning. I wear dress/office clothes to work that need dry cleaning every week... what I noticed was that she started out at her regular prices for the items but every week when I went in to drop my dress clothes off, she would raise the prices up.. little by little.. until the cost of my dry cleaning was outrageous. I said something to her and her excuse was that they got new machinery in and the cost needs to go up. I told her that this would be the last time I use her and she said "then go find another place to go"... without blinking her eyes. Terrible, nasty service......its obvious that she is price gouging and does not care one but because she is finding she can get away with it. I ended up finding another dry cleaner in our area that our outstanding... Friendly, reasonable prices and honest. read more

If you're a person of color DO NOT give this place your business. I took a leather coat in to be cleaned. The old lady behind the desk told me they had to send it out so I had to pay up front. It's leather so I kind of understood the reason. A month or so later I took a blanket in to be cleaned. Again this old lady (the same one who waited on me before) said I had to pay for the cleaning upfront. I've near heard of this so I told her that I felt the reason why she was asking for payment upfront was because of the color of my skin. And walked out of the store with my blanket. Went down to Jay's Cleaners in Swampscott, no problem. They never asked me to pay for it upfront. So I believe this place doesn't really want people of color as customers because they think we don't pay for services rendered. I will never go back. Jay's is a much better place and the service is wonderful. read more

The worst experience I have ever had with a dry cleaner. They ruined a jacket that was quite expensive and denied it. I had spent a large amount of money on storage (approx. $800) and asked that they compensate me for the jacket (which cost me $1200). Jay then said "how do I know that was part of the storage". They do not spell out each item of storage, but I did keep a record of every piece they were given. They were rude and refused to take any responsibility. He told me they have no insurance coverage and would not consider even giving me a refund on the storage. Horrible experience and I am taking them to court! Gloria K. Marblehead read more

The service and turn around time for everything here is amazing. I was in need of tailoring for 2 sport coats for a business trip coming up and they were able to measure, fit, and tailor the 2 sport coats within 24 hours. I went in not knowing exactly what I needed for a measurement. I was greeted as if I were a long time repeat customer. They explained to me a recommended measurement for my coats and then asked if I was comfortable with everything. The overall experience was outstanding! read more

I just found holes in the front of a second top, both relatively expensive garments. The first top came right out of the bag into my suitcase for vacation and was no found until I put it on. The second was still in the bag and the hole found when I went to hang it up. The owners tried to tell me the first set of holes were from a mouse as if the mouse could leap off the floor under the cleaning bag! The second top had holes in exactly the same place. These are no inexpensive items. Dry cleaners have insurance to cover loss and damage but the owner had marginal English. I will be going elsewhere. I wish I had not left all my vacation clothes there. read more

I only have good things to say about this place! I was referred here by a friend when I needed to have my wedding gown cleaned and they took such great care of it! They took the time to explain they might not be able to get all the stains out of it but when I got the dress back it looked just like new! I've brought pants and dresses here and everything has come back looking better than it did the first time I wore it. read more

Been a customer since they first opened but won't be going back! Brought an item to be dry cleaned and I was told the buttons were loose and I was asked if I wanted them tightened. I answered yes, but only if stain removal was successful. The charge to "tighten" two buttons was going to be $12 on top of the cost of cleaning. Went to pick up item and was told stain could not be removed. That happens. I was then told that the buttons were tightened, too. Which part of "don't tighten the buttons if you can't remove the stain" didn't they get? No compromise at all. The owner (?) was going to rip the buttons off the item! Never again! read more

Can never say I really had a terrible experience with any business till now or I was totally spoiled by my past dry cleaner who retired. Started off by them trying to call my skirt a dress for the bill they did correct it...granted it was a longer skirt I can let that slide. Their prices are higher but I did like that they were an organic cleaner and was willing to pay the extra....I could accept all of that...... Picked up my skirt which I was getting cleaned before vacation but had not looked it over t after I got back and needed to sew on a string for the trumpet for this weekend. Started typing the other ones up--did not keep the bag( old habits I know dry cleaning bags have formaldihide...maybe theirs don't0. Only to find the skirt came back from this cleaner with a hole and it looks like they did not get some stains out ( not their fault if they tried) My old cleaner use to tell me but I would not hold that against them. Brought it backto the store and asked if they could repair the hole they made and left the string that I would have sewn in on incase that was an easier way to make the repair. They said I would not have it for 5 days and I was trying to see if they could have it on 2 as I had an event. They told me to call back. They accused me of wearing the skirt due to the stains ( how could I wear it with a hole?) and said I made the hole....trying to be as open minded as I could I thought it maybe possible that the string for the tie up may have made a small whole before it fell but the skirt came back with a clean right angle rip as if someone was cutting something on it. The killer was that they wanted me to pay to repair the rip they made. I would have been happy to pay for the string to be attached that was off when I brought it in but to pay for them ripping it got my goat especially accusing me of having worn it -(how could I with the string still needing to be sewn in) All I can say is if you go there,,,check your slip when you get it to be sure your not being over charged, look over the garment when you receive it before you leave the store and do not look for me .....I will not ever be there again. read more

The cleaning went well enough, and the staff were friendly. The prices seem a tad high, and this was compounded by the fact that our order was not calculated correctly. We found that we owed nearly 1&1/2 what our original bill stated when we arrived to pick up. I believe it was an honest mistake, but I found out that the staff realized the mistake after we dropped off, but before they began services. I would have expected a call to alert us, and to ask if they should go ahead with the entire job despite the much higher costs. I also was disappointed that not even a small token of apology was offered when we were surprised by the much higher than expected bill at pick-up. We brought in a large number of items, so the bill was over $200. Taking off 10% off the bill, or not counting one of the tickets in our bill would have been a nice (and fairly low-cost) gesture. I have to think this would have been worth it given that we were new customers who just brought in a large amount of business in our first visit. I don't think we'll be returning as we left feeling that our business was not at all appreciated. read more
