Well, it's not so bad when you have your own machines... but going to a laundromat is a different experience altogether. I've been to a few in my time. A lot start off really clean if they're new, then slowly circle the drain as the gaskets get all moldy, and the spilt detergent cakes up. Then one has the lovely 'public transportation' atmosphere to deal with. I'm a nice person as a whole I think, but I have a low tolerance for rude and ignorant. I've found strong examples of both that flavor, and really nice, and lots in between ....in the melting pots of these types of facilities. Now, I've liked going to the one Sunshine in Salem, but I wasn't in the mood to go there today. It's always been clean, but the flurry of activity gets a bit much at times. Enter their 'branch' in Marblehead. It has been as lovely an experience as possible. The woman attending the place has been super nice, and guided me in my laundry idiot ways (can you REALLY fill the machines that much??). She and a coworker were also beyond supportive when I made a huge mistake. Somehow, I've lost the life skills to use a vending machine properly. I got detergent stuck in the door. They cleared the issue, and were almost like life coaches trying to make me feel better about my mistake. This all makes a very big difference for me.... slowly making it seem like I shouldn't dread the experience in the future. Yay

Really disappointed. Dropped off laundry broken up into 2 categories: dryer and no dryer. The…read moreassumption, which was dumb on my part, was that the clothes that didn't go in the dryer would be hung (or at least dry...) but they weren't. Came to pick up today and they were piled on top of each other, wrinkled and still wet. Now I have to do more work in addition to what I would have done anyway. Not to mention, spend more time rehanging everything at home so it can dry properly. Wish I did not pay for this service. It was not communicated that they don't hang clothes. I guess it's my stupidity for assuming they'd be dry when I picked them up 2 days later. The ladies are very nice and working hard so I don't mean to disparage them, but I'm frustrated that I just paid for my clothes to be worse off than they would be if I did them myself and want to give anyone else thinking about trying this service a heads up.

I went to go and get another dollar in quarters and when I came back it asked to put the $7.00 again and took my $7.00. I called that morning telling them what happened. No response. I went again on March 2nd to do laundry and remembered I never heard back so I called again left vmail no response then called again today when I was at a different laundry mat and guess what no response back. There is NEVER any attendant there on the weekends. You just list a hood customer. Very unprofessional to not call a customer back for weeks. Update: the owner contacted me stated that he called me back a few times but I didn't receive any missed calls. He stated he would venmo me back the money which I did receive. I actually go out of my way to do laundry here even though I have other laundromats closer to where I live. This is also the only laundromat I've seen that accepts credit cards. They'll place a $25 hold on your account, but there's no hidden fees to use a card. They have change machines as well. Prices seem about average and there's several different size options for washers and dryers. All the parking spaces are close to the doors so you don't have to haul your laundry too far. They're open until 11:00pm every day (last wash at 10:00, last dry at 10:30) which is convenient.

Ralph, the owner is extremely polite with outstanding customer service skills . As soon as I park my car he comes right out to help me with my laundry. I have major spinal cord issues and trouble lifting laundry. When I come back to pick up my laundry Ralph always puts it back into my car for me. This is just amazing to me.
