Went on a Thursday at around 5 pm. It wasn't busy at all when we went in. Small parking lot but there's a free lot close by. They give you a bowl of kettle chips when seated which was delicious. We were served quickly, and I ordered a house made seltzer that I believe was huckleberry flavor. It was interesting that it was made in-house but it had a weird after taste to me. We got the Turkey Club as well as their Cougar Gold Mac and Cheese. Both were delicious and I loved both dishes. I enjoyed how the Mac and cheese came with the side salad too, or you can have kettle chips or a soup. Salad was a great choice with the Mac and cheese. Visiting Pullman area and I wanted to feed my two daughters a nice meal on a Friday evening around 5 PM for dinner. Although open, only a few tables were filled, and it was mostly empty at that time. We were seated and a young waitress promptly took our drink order and brought us some kettle chips. The kettle chips are to die for! We were hungry so that might've contributed to the fact that we gobbled them down quickly. These were never refilled during our time there although I wish they were. (We didn't get a chance to ask.) Our appetizer order of the pretzel bites were tasty, but there were so few on the plate for the 3 of us to share. It comes with three dipping sauces, but there weren't enough pretzels to enjoy much of the dipping sauces. Next, we placed an order for three meals that came with side salads. Our waitress said the salads would be out first and then the meals. Unfortunately, only one salad came out and the waitress didn't say anything else when dropping off the single salad. I assumed she was coming back with the others. As the dining room was filling up, she got busy taking orders elsewhere, didn't glance our way once. The one salad was finished while the other two of us were twiddling our thumbs at the table for a decent enough amount of time that we were trying to get her attention to ask about the salads. The other two salads did not come out until our entrées arrived. It would've been nice if we were offered a refill on the kettle chips and our drinks . No drink refills offered. We waited without anything to nibble on for what felt like too long. As for food quality, the mac & cheese was tasteless and plain. There was a good volume of it, but no desire to eat it. The Caesar salads we had were pre-dressed and the dressing wasn't that great. The burger was OK, but they served it dry. I asked for ketchup, but I apologized to the waitress for the ketchup request as she seemed to be very busy with the dining room filling up. It was a very uncomfortable feeling to ask for anything because of the vibe. The best thing on the table was the kettle chips, and the side of broccoli that one of my daughters had with her steak was fabulously seasoned. We made it a point to complement the broccoli and asked how it was prepared at the end of our meal when we were offered the check . Our waitress was kind enough to find out for us but the answer that came back seemed to shield the seasonings as a proprietary secret. In all it was an OK experience and we might return next time we're in town to give them another chance. If anything, I'd order the delicious kettle chips and broccoli. read more

We used to go here often. The last couple of times we dined here the service was not impressive. On our last visit we were the first through the door when they opened for lunch, but the last table to order. Took my daughter and some friends here on a Tuesday night. Very few customers (3 tables full maybe). 5 of us ordered and my daughter's wings came out 20 minutes before everything else when she clearly ordered them as an entree. The rest of the food took about 35-40 minutes to come out when there was literally no one there. Also, the food we ordered was simple to get out in a fairly timely manner (Club sandwich, bruschetta, Mac and cheese, and Caesar salad). The menu is weirdly specific in some instances and not specific at all in others. Ex: wings come in mild, buffalo, and spicy, but one would assume the buffalo is a sauce but the mild was a dry rub (would be nice to know but not stated). Ex: Caesar is $14 and you can add "grilled" chicken, shrimp, or salmon for an extra $5 (in the case of chicken). My "grilled" chicken came out in cold chunks that looked like they had been rebought and kept cold then just dumped in the salad. When u order an entree salad and they say "grilled" chicken one would assume it's been freshly grilled for dinner, not just a salad that I could get in the deli aisle at a supermarket. Just an overall weird dinner for the price we paid. Service was friendly enough but sparse. Food tasted decent enough but when going out to eat I'd like to pay for more attention to the food than what I could put together with what I bought on my Costco run. Maple Manhattan was a solid drink though. Overall, not a 1 bc the taste was ok, but the rest was super underwhelming for what else is available in Pullman. Probably won't be back. read more

Great food, great beer. The Nicias Amber is great and has a malty Carmel kinda flavor with a hint of sweet on the back end. Pairs nicely with sitting there watching the big screen or one of their great burger/fry combos. I sat at the bar and the service was great with friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere. First things first, we went on a Friday night right around 6:00. So, it was busy. Which was to be expected and was no problem. However, when you order 1 burger, 1 chicken tender meal, and 2 appetizers you'd think it would come out a little sooner than 1 hour after ordering. Also, I read that they bring you kettle chips when you're first seated... that never happened to us. We witnessed other people get their chips but not us. The food was just fine. Definitely not worth the price they're asking though. The burger was extremely cooked through and tough to eat. We barely saw our waitress the entire time. She came to take drink orders, then came back to take our order. Then we never saw her until she brought out our food an hour later. No drink refills were ever offered. Probably wouldn't recommend unless you're on a pinch. read more

Good food and good service, with some great beers as well. This used to be a spot we would go to anytime we were in Pullman, but a few years ago it dropped off our list. I'm glad we gave it another try, as we had a great experience. The place can get a bit loud when it is busy, so if you're like me and you prefer a quieter atmosphere I recommend an early dinner perhaps during the week. Paradise Creek has been around for quite a while. I haven't ever been to Pullman until recently but as I looked at brewery maps I knew of it's existence for quite a while. The building that the brewery is in is interesting and historic so that's an added bonus. We got seated fairly quickly but the staff seemed overwhelmed and waiting to place our order and receive our food was lengthy but we gave them slack on that since many restaurants are short staffed right now and students were just returning to college here in Pullman. We had two beers and a meal here. Truth be told I wasn't all that impressed with the beer. One beer was J Dub's Northwest Pale Ale and the other was the Artbier IPA. I didn't really feel that either beer was memorable. They were alright but there was nothing distinctive to them to make me want to get them again. I was considering my Yelp review would be three stars for the place... But then our food arrived and that really turned things around. I had a tough time trying to decide what to eat but in the end I got the Turkey Club which was very good and glad that that was my ordering choice. For dessert Steve and I shared their Nanaimo Bar which was pretty great! I'm not sure if I ever had this kind of bar but I was very impressed! As I said before the staff seemed overwhelmed but they were always friendly and hopefully over time that will get turned around. Definitely better places to eat in town. Beer is warm, food is cold, service was slow and not friendly. Sat at the bar alone, quick drink order, followed by thinking "this is gonna go well." Only to wait 10 minutes for my first beer to be poured... I figure shit order a burger and fries if that took this long...35 minutes late it arrived cold...meanwhile I sat and watch the staff discuss parties and rude tables in front of Patron's.... We stopped in on a summer Saturday around 3pm and it was quiet, with a cheerful atmosphere. The building is a unique space and has a lot of character. Our server was quick and responsive despite us being sat far away from him. I was so pleased there were several non-alcoholic options, including really awesome Hop waters. If you're exploring NA options, try the Pomello Sage - it was bright and bubbly. The fresh chips were a great start to our meal as we deliberated on the menu. Opting for the salmon burger and the steak salad, we were not disappointed! I loved the pesto vinaigrette and will definitely be trying to recreate it at home. The steak was perfectly cooked. A few vegan options and their vegan burger is really good and they have a vegan brownie which is OK but would be better warm or with coffee (it is a tad dry). So up front I want to tell you that they charge $0.75 just for sitting at a table because of covered 19. It's not posted anywhere and when I saw it on my receipt I asked about it and was told that it's for every seated table. I explained to them that had it been posted at the door I probably would not have come in because I don't agree with the charge. Then she demanded that I positioned my mask properly on my face as I was leaving. I was already leaving what is a matter. The food was okay we asked for a medium burger It came out medium rare, the cheese sauce was grainy expected it to be creamy, and the artichoke dip tasted more like hummus than an artichoke dip. The flavor wasn't horrible on either the cheese or the artichoke dip but there was no artichokes chunks in the dip which I expected and it wasn't creamy or cheesy which I expected. The service was mediocre, they were nice enough but it took them a while to get us actual menus and then in between service was here and there. They weren't that busy so thought service could be in a little better. But they had smiling faces and they did check up on us. I thought about getting the steak but they wanted $25 for a 6-oz steak, at Birch and barley you can get a 6 oz for 17 something, or a black and blue New York 12 oz for $24. I also guarantee you there that the artichoke spinach dip will be creamy and delicious, the beer cheese sauce will be creamy and not grainy. And so far there we've had four to five-star service and the food tastes just as good. Don't waste your time or money at this place Go to Birch and barley. read more

Solid and friendly family run brewery. Had a chance to visit twice while in the area and was greeted promptly each time despite it being busy. The open atmosphere of the dining area is decorated by local historic images, WSU memorabilia, and old fashioned bank items. There is an outdoor area as well as a small parking lot. Food is solid and consistent (at least the two times I ordered). They skip the presentation frills often found in breweries for good portions and a quick kitchen. Also of note is that PCB offers a full bar so beer adverse members of a group will have nothing to worry about. As for the beers I did not have a single one that was poor or didn't fit the description of flavor and type. The Lincoln Lager, a type I will often skip, was a light and refreshing beer while the Kugar Kolsch has the right amount of mild bitterness. Treat yourself to one of the Puckers as the Blackberry and Huckleberry Shandy were both delicious. All in all, if you are looking for an unassuming and laid back atmosphere with a good assortment of craft beers, full bar, and solid food Paradise Creek hits all the boxes. read more

3.5 stars! Parking was relatively easy and the building is an old post office which has a cool, old vibe! Service was prompt but with it being a busy weekend in Pullman (freshman drop off) our food took FOREVER to get to the table. The waiter was still quite attentive and brought several rounds of drinks. Once it arrived food was great! You just have to expect slow food if they are busy. I would have taken more pictures but by the time my food got to the table we were starved and ate it quickly. I would and will come back! Just not come back when I'm starving. read more

Was hungry for a hamburger not from frozen. I had not been in the Brewery in years. Since it was a winery. I was not disappointed. Unlike some others that used to be my favorites, they haven't upped the prices while whittling down the portions. The service was great. There is a huge choice of beer, of course. The menu has a Spicy Bleu burger similar to another fabulous place called "Wisconsin Burger" in Spokane. It even has a pepper jam chipotle. I ordered that. Very good!! It was not an easy choice given all the other burgers on the menu. Cooked to order, of course. Whoever is working the kitchen is doing a dammed good job! Now, I have to go back and try a dinner special. Best in the region in my book. read more

I am sure they are usually awesome but our buns were over toasted and that made it difficult to eat them as they were so hard. We enjoyed our flight and couldn't decide which beer we liked best. So a post office got turned into a brewery and it's awesome ... true story. The beer itself is typical microbrewery quality and nothing really jumped out at me as outstanding. The two IPA's they brew are different than your typical IPA's and are worth trying. If you're into milk stouts, make sure you try theirs. It's very smooth and easy to drink and is made with real milk ... at least thats what the bartender said. A few of their beers are high alcohol content which is nice. The setting itself is very cool. They have kept the old post office feel and look and just added a bar and tables. This is one of the cooler looking breweries that I have seen. I would recommend trying the beer sampler as they have a few unique beers there. read more

This is a brew-pub inside of Pullman's old post office with excellent c. 1900 architecture (high ceilings, fireplace, lovely woodwork), the downside of which is that it's loud on a busy night. It's the kind of place that's has a lot of room for setting up big group tables, but you can only hear and be heard by those sitting adjacent to you. Unlike most places with drinking, kids are welcome and dogs are also allowed on the patio. Great for pub food--burgers (if you like beef or lamb cooked well-done--they' ask how you like them cooked, but never, in my experience/observation, come close to pinkish), delicious reubans & other sandwiches, soups, salads, a few fancier entrees, excellent desserts. The beers are their own brews, local wines, inexpensive well cocktails ($6-7:00). The service is very attentive. read more

After over two years of saying "hey, we should go there!" as we passed the Old Post Office, we finally remembered to stop in! I am so glad that we did. We weren't sure what to expect but the building is beautiful and has (the original?) marble and dark wood interior. You go up huge steps from the street and enter a room that serves as waiting area and entrance to the bathrooms. There is also a collection of used books to buy. The main seating/eating area is spacious and is decorated with some old post office memorabilia. There is a bar area, tables with the most comfortable chairs I've ever had the chance to sit in outside of someone's home, and a leather couch area near the huge projection screen. We chose a table by the windows and were happy with how much space is between one table and the next. Everyone who was there for drinks and some food on that Friday afternoon was dressed pretty casually, as were most of the waitstaff, but our waiter seemed to be dressed for a martini bar. There wasn't anything wrong with that, but coupled with his disinterest in checking in at our table got me a bit miffed and I can't help but remember him as haughty. My husband's theory is that he was actually a bartender who unhappily found himself playing waiter that night because whenever we needed him, he was behind the bar. It definitely seemed like he sized us up as youngsters who wouldn't tip well and decided to give us that kind of service. He was always there to check if we wanted more beers, but he didn't check us for twenty minutes after bringing our food. So many things on the menu looked delicious but we both decided to get burgers. It starts at $9 and additional toppings are a buck a piece, but we splurged and got them loaded. The food was amazing. I got sweet potato fries, my husband got garlic mashed potatoes, and we got some regular fries to share (and soak up beer). We wanted some sauces to dip our fries in but by the time our waiter took our request and delivered, everything was cold:[ A busboy took care of us for part of the night and he was so incredibly nice and funny that I wish he could have been our official waiter! We're not going to let one sort-of bad experience ruin anything for us and we definitely plan on going back for the delicious food and tasty beer. Good: building, beer, food, atmosphere, busboy!
