After over two years of saying "hey, we should go there!" as we passed the Old Post Office, we finally remembered to stop in! I am so glad that we did. We weren't sure what to expect but the building is beautiful and has (the original?) marble and dark wood interior. You go up huge steps from the street and enter a room that serves as waiting area and entrance to the bathrooms. There is also a collection of used books to buy. The main seating/eating area is spacious and is decorated with some old post office memorabilia. There is a bar area, tables with the most comfortable chairs I've ever had the chance to sit in outside of someone's home, and a leather couch area near the huge projection screen. We chose a table by the windows and were happy with how much space is between one table and the next. Everyone who was there for drinks and some food on that Friday afternoon was dressed pretty casually, as were most of the waitstaff, but our waiter seemed to be dressed for a martini bar. There wasn't anything wrong with that, but coupled with his disinterest in checking in at our table got me a bit miffed and I can't help but remember him as haughty. My husband's theory is that he was actually a bartender who unhappily found himself playing waiter that night because whenever we needed him, he was behind the bar. It definitely seemed like he sized us up as youngsters who wouldn't tip well and decided to give us that kind of service. He was always there to check if we wanted more beers, but he didn't check us for twenty minutes after bringing our food. So many things on the menu looked delicious but we both decided to get burgers. It starts at $9 and additional toppings are a buck a piece, but we splurged and got them loaded. The food was amazing. I got sweet potato fries, my husband got garlic mashed potatoes, and we got some regular fries to share (and soak up beer). We wanted some sauces to dip our fries in but by the time our waiter took our request and delivered, everything was cold:[ A busboy took care of us for part of the night and he was so incredibly nice and funny that I wish he could have been our official waiter! We're not going to let one sort-of bad experience ruin anything for us and we definitely plan on going back for the delicious food and tasty beer. Good: building, beer, food, atmosphere, busboy! I will initially dispatch with the negatives, as I liked this place overall. I did not like the beer. Their IPA was not notable and did not have a very good flavor. I had the amber lager, which I don't know that I've seen before, since the amber malts don't seem to go with the lager yeasts. And there may be a reason why you don't see it often because it just wasn't good. But I liked everything else. The whole concept of a brewpub in a post office is really cool. This is actually the second such brewpub I've been to, the other being in Willimantic, Connecticut. At that one, they did only a bit of remodeling that created nice spaces inside and gave the place an interesting feel. I think this place was done better, as the space was more cohesive and not awkward. I also love that they kept the old toilets, and had the beautiful entryway in tact. Very well done. The food was good. I got the regular burger, which is actually cooked quite well and had a nice overall flavor. It was overcooked for my standards, but I wasn't asked how I wanted it cooked, which I take to mean that they just cook it as they see fit. I got it dry (it's normally with mayo) but added barbecue sauce, which was on the table with ketchup. The sauce was great. A little spicy, a little sweet, nice smoke flavor to it. Delicious. My wife got the pulled pork mac n cheese. She liked it and said the pork was very good. First thing I noticed in sitting was that they had Nanaimo bars on the dessert menu. This is one of only a couple of places I've seen these, which are named after a random Vancouver Island town and, although they're popular in BC, are difficult to find in the US for some reason. This one was put together well, but I thought it was way too sweet. It was also enormous compared to what I've had previously. But it's cool that they had it. But the big plus was the server, who I think was named Tarlynn or something. She did a great job overall. Servers at brewpubs have to know a lot about both the food and the beer, and she obviously knew a lot about both, with suggestions on both. So I liked this place. It actually opened just before we would have moved here, when we chose Indiana over Pullman for my wife's job, and this probably would have been one of our places. read more

Paradise Creek Brewery is the kind of place I would frequent if it was in my 'hood. It has great character! I enjoyed the goes-down-easy Dirty Blond and liked going Postal, Porter that is. Honestly would have given this place three stars. But the waitress earned this review an extra star for being so great. Today was my first time there and I wanted to try their homemade fruit beers. Did not like any of the three I had a sample of....can't recall the names of the beers...but the last one I tried I almost spat out. Just no. That aside. I asked for a mojito, probably one of the best mojitos I've ever had. Flavor was great! Loved the presentation too. Had the fish taco appetizer for my meal. It was Amazing!!!! There was plenty for a meal, not sure I could bring myself to share it as an appetizer. I'd want it all. Lightly battered fish, greens, black beans and maybe pico(?). I added the avocado to it and a little bit of their spicy sauce. It was pretty hot, and I don't find many things hot, glad it was on the side. Paradise Creek!!! I'm so happy you're awesome again!!! This is an update to my previous very disappointed review. My spouse dragged me back to Paradise Creek, insisting we try again in case they had turned a corner. I very, very reluctantly agreed, and insisted we go only for beer. The beer was still very good - the culture shock series they're doing is great, love that they offer a good sour. That night with a party of three on a weekend evening we got great service; we noticed far more staff around than the last time we were there. From this first tentative foray back, we discovered the menu has been revamped yet again. But this time, it had expanded! There was a note that they're incorporating menu items from what used to be Swilly's. We decided to come back and try dinner. Dinner was great! Consistently great beer, good service, and the food was tasty again. They still had some of the smokehouse stuff on the menu, but also offered a lot more in the way of contemporary American pub fare. I had a Mediterranean lamb burger, ordered medium rare; the cook did a bang-up job. The sweet potato fries were delicious; flavorful, soft, and plenty of flaky sea salt. We'll be back, and will once again be recommending this place to friends and family. read more

Came here prior to the game, our fries were luke warm, but our server was phenomenal. Skye was extremely attentive to every table she served, knowledgeable, and really enjoyed her job. She was very eager and worked her butt off. Most other staff stood around not seeming to be busy, while she ran them up and down making drinks, fulfilling orders, checking on tables, etc. I have not seen someone work this hard in a very long time. College town pub food. Don't expect more of the quality of food or beer or service. As you can see, people love it or hate it. Knowing that, plan for it and you can enjoy the place. Cool enough building. But, Golly! I've been in Post Offices before, Waited 45 minutes for table, although they said 1/2 hour. OK - we tried to be nice and waited in the bar. Bartender asked us to sit at bar instead of the nearby rail table so she wouldn't have to walk so far. Told her that we did not want to break up our group to sit in random places. We're told we would have next table then they gave it to someone else. Waited a very long time for burgers. The burgers were so overdone that they were barely chewable. We all had indigestion that night. Should have sent the burgers back but we were starved, plus we did not want to start all over again. The burgers were so over cooked that they tasted burnt. I like most of the food and the atmosphere is really nice. Big tables and a great place to go with large groups. That being said, drink selection is pretty limited, but what they do have is really good, but the service is always really really bad! With the exception of one male server (I think there are 2 total) all the other servers act like they have better things to do than wait tables. They aren't attentive at all and I usually end up having to ask someone who isn't my waiter for things, or I end up grabbing them from the host stand myself (napkins, silverware, etc). Visited Paradise last night with my wife adn they were very busy. The building is five starts for sure and they even play movies. The beer was very good, but not hoppy enought for me, and not as good as the other brewer in town. We used to live in Pullman a few years ago, so this review is long overdue! We lived up the hill from the area known has Downtown Pullman, so walking to Paradise Creek instead of driving was great. These guys made awesome beer and from time to time, I can find it on this side of the Cascades either at beer specialty spots (The Beer Junction in WS) or at brewery festivals (The Portland BrewFest). I still think very fondly of their Postal Porter (a great everyday Porter) and the Sacred Cow Coffee Milk Stout made with fresh roasted coffee beans from Bucer's Coffeehouse in nearby Moscow, ID (great coffee shop, btw). Food was always delicious for us whenever we ate there. The usual pub fare of burgers, nachos and fries, but they did have sophisticated flavors when we were there, such as garlic aioli on some burgers and non-soggy sweet potato fries. One of the other perks about Paradise Creek is that they have a small homebrew shop. We were just getting into homebrewing our own beer, so it was great to be able to call ahead to place an order for malts or see what type of hops they had on hand. Plus, once we picked up our items, we'd make sure to bring some brew home. I'd love to stop by again if we visit P-Town in the future. read more

Beer and alcohol was great! I got a Carlton while my friends got beers and we all enjoyed our drinks a lot. Food came and it was delicious as well! Got a few PCB burgers and a Turkey Club and we were all satisfied with our food. The Cougar Gold Mac is a must-try! Was really busy and it was clearly a little understaffed but the server did her best to make time to check up on us which we appreciated. Unfortunately, when it came time to pay and we split the check, my card was charged for both parties. Ended up paying $70 for my $25 dollar meal. The charge that wasn't mine was voided but it will take a few days for it to be processed. This overdrafted my bank account which means I get slapped fees from my bank until the void happens to be processed - I'm really disappointed they weren't more careful with the payments. Overall, a good experience and I would definitely eat here again, but never with split checks unless I had enough to cover everyone's meals - just in case. read more

Giving 3 stars because my girlfriend said the beer she had was good. She had the MooJoe and really enjoyed it. The problem is their staff really had no idea what was going on. The waitress and the bartender didn't know what their beers had in them and the food is mediocre. I have an allergy to wheat. Not barley, not gluten, wheat. I have been to many breweries and they are happy to pour me one of their mom wheat beers. We also had to explain what the Inland Northwest Ale Trail was when the waitstaff should have know since your establishment is a stop on it. I've been to paradise creek several times while living in Pullman and I've been generally pleased with the food, service, and atmosphere. It is located in an old bank building, so the feel of the place is really unique and intriguing. The first time I went, I got a burger, and was pretty displeased. It was overcooked to the point that it had charcoal on it. I should have sent it back, but I was with a group and didn't want to make a scene. The second time I've went, I got their mac and cheese and soup. Both were very delicious, and I would order it again! They always have a good selection of beers on tap! Also, they play football games on the giant projector screen in the Fall, so its a great place to go have a beer and watch the game! Overall, I would return to paradise creek. If you want a burger, there are better places in Pullman (like Southfork, or Tapped in Moscow). Check it out in the Fall and watch a game with a beer in your hand! I love Paradise Creek. I joined their Mug Club for a reason (well, okay for several reasons...which you can read about on their menu). Their beer is outstanding, and they're always coming out with more. Their latest is Hector's Revenge barleywine...which I love. It's strong stuff, yet delicious. Their food is also outstanding, though I can't comment on much of their menu...we rarely get past the pulled pork nachos, which you MUST try if you come here. Seriously, it's one of the most amazing meals we've ever had. We often call ahead and order them to go if we don't have the time to stick around for a full meal. I've had a couple of burgers and they've also been excellent, but the pulled pork nachos are where it's at. They can get pretty crowded at times, but with events like their weekly trivia nights and movie showings, it's understandable. Our second stop to Paradise Creek while visiting Pullman. This is the best town in the history of the world since before towns were stab list of the United States of America or anywhere on earth. The neat thing about Paradise Creek as you can also bring kids.located in the old post office my memory of the OPO is a movie theater. I came here last weekend with a friend and this place has a fabulous interior (in comparison to all bars)! It's bright inside, the entrance and bathroom is covered in marble (I think it's marble). I would definitely have a Girls' Night here. We ordered the Artichoke dip and a side of fries. The dip was okay, interesting combo, (there's cottage cheese) but the fries were great.
