I visited over a dozen dentists over these last few years. Periodontists, prosthodontists, endodontists, orthodontists, and general dentists. Yeah...your boy needed some work! :) Mission City Orthodontics was my third consultation, and the final one for me and moreover, once I met with Dr. Babayan, I instantly knew this would be the doctor to do my braces! I picked an outstanding team to assist in procuring a desirable smile. It is refreshing to be serviced by a group of dental experts who are polite, caring, courteous, and empathetic. It is ASTONISHING when that same team is equally as TALENTED with the task at hand. This is what you will find at Mission City Orthodontics. A good number of the staff, and the doctor himself have had braces. So you know they can connect with your needs. They offer regular braces and Invisalign. My intense crowding called for the old school. In preparation for this review, I went over the treatment plan and the projected amount of time needed. Man, seriously just now hitting home...what a deal I got! VERY flexible, reasonable payment plans are available. The office has tons of onsite and street parking and I never had an issue finding a spot. The waiting area is very welcoming, comfortable, and lined with entertainment of all kinds for all interests to keep your busy mind busy. Although, you hardly ever wait as the business is run soooo efficiently. Mission City Orthodontics is the crown jewel of dental journeys. The receptionists are sweet professionals and it is impressive to watch them effortlessly dispatch a high volume of foot and telephone traffic. The office is quite large and ELEGANTLY designed to flow you through the process of your visit. Interior designer was clever in lining each comfy dental chair with a rendition of a beautiful city of the world. I would dream of a vacation on each seat as the team worked on my teeth. I can validate every point in the "about the business" section on Yelp. The building is equipped with the latest technology and operated by skilled, gentle technicians, dental hygienists, and friendly staff. I've interacted with every single person there and nearly two years later, I can honestly say that it continues to be a phenomenal experience. No personalities or egos here. Everyone here has a task to do and they execute eloquently. The great minds here have come up with suitable literature to keep you motivated, encouraged, and actively involved with the treatment process. The couple of times I had an emergency, the office did their best to get me in quickly, so as not to jeopardize my progress. How exceedingly satisfying to have a dental office consistently prove that your progress is the priority. Dr. Babayan was involved in every step from start to finish. I won't go into the specifics of my dental plan. It involved numerous stages and crowds of dentists. Dr. Babayan went above and beyond to ensure my treatment went through smoothly. The alignment is exemplary. I immensely appreciate the extra time, care, and attention given to me. The doctor reminds me of a great conductor. The staff, his orchestra. Your teeth, their music. We had a very frustrating experience at this dental office. Around the 20-minute mark, I asked the receptionist how much longer the wait would be. She went to check with the dentist and returned saying she didn't know. With no estimate or explanation, we continued waiting but eventually decided it was best to leave and take my child elsewhere. As I was informing the receptionist that I needed to cancel our appointments, another staff member came out to explain why the wait was so long. By that point, I had already scheduled an appointment with a different dentist. She continued trying to get me to reschedule or go to another location, which felt unnecessary given that we had already waited so long without being seen. I then requested that my child's X-rays be shared with the new dentist and was told the new office would need to call to request them. When the new office did call, they were told the X-rays could not be sent directly to them and instead I was texted a link to access them myself. This created extra back-and-forth during an already stressful situation. I understand that delays can happen, especially in pediatric offices, but the lack of communication, prolonged wait time, and difficulty transferring records made this a very disappointing experience. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.
