I just finished my treatment as an adult patient and couldn't be happier with the results! Dr. Kim is the most informed, professional, and kind orthodontist I have ever worked with. I had braces several times as a child and young adult, so I was nervous to begin treatment again after getting so many conflicting recommendations from different orthodontists over the years. I also had a number of complex issues with my bite that many orthodontists had difficulty fixing in the past. Dr. Kim immediately put me at ease during my initial consultation and was very thorough in explaining his treatment plan. I thought I would have to wear braces for 3 years but I finished my treatment in 2, and the results were so much better than I was expecting! Patient-focused type of care. Dr kim's attention to details is great, which is something my previous doctor didn't really pay attention to. The office is always clean, friendly and very welcoming environment. The doctor offers after care appointments to follow up on how your teeth are doing . He also explained to me that retainers are to be worn regularly and FOREVER to retain the position of my teeth. Braces/Quality of Care: my daughter got braces at 13 yrs old. Her teeth were pretty bad. She was serviced for about 2.5 year along w an added tooth removal. Her teeth came out fabulous! She is so happy w her smile and the process was smooth. Ease and comfort for patient: She was treated well and gently at every appointment. If there was ever an issue, we simply called and they would try to fit us in asap to fix any discomfort. Office Staff: staff as AMAZING!!!! So helpful, kind and respectful. They made this longgg process seem less...! Very understanding too! Thank you ladies Appointments/wait times: we live by the clock... schedules are always so busy - so I truly appreciate the minimal wait times. Scheduled appointments are truly on time. Dr Kim , Sandra and the one who took my X-ray were amazingly amazing! They were so understanding of my situation and they reviewed my teeth as a second opinion. Can I give six stars? I absolutely love Dr. Kim and all of the people that work in this office including Sandra. I did my Invisalign which I believe took two years. They are also friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Every time I would go, they would ask about my newborn who is now a toddler. I had a couple of emergencies, and they were always so quick and helpful to resolve. They also make it fun by giving you Kim Kash when you wear their shirt and keep up cleanly habits. You can spin the wheel to get prizes with that. I'm honestly sad that I don't have to go back anymore now that I'm wearing my retainers for the next 25 years. I would not recommend this dental office the front desk is extremely rude. We got there few minutes late and they canceled our appointment. We had two appointments one for my son and one for my daughter I asked them politely if they could just see my daughter and I would reschedule my sons appointment but the lady was extremely rude she refused to listen to me and told me to reschedule for both of them. read more

I never give reviews, but here I am, coming back four years after getting my braces off to submit a review. My teeth were pretty messed up with a narrow pallet and a tooth halfway up my gum line but Dr. Kim's office fixed it all. To this day, so many people compliment my teeth and even my DENTISTS ask where I went for orthodontia because the work is so well done. While the process is of course long and at times painful, what I still remember most is the quality of care that I received and the friendliness of that office. I want to start off by saying that Dr Kim's office is such a professional, highly efficient office. They've got their systems down. Not only is Dr. Kim caring but he is extremely thorough, conservative and gives excellent results. Dr Kim and his staff will treat you like you're VIP even though you're just one of the many, many clients they have. My son won me a basket of goodies for a contest (tons of contests and prizes so your kids actually want to go to the ortho) but the thought and care that went into each item is beyond what I expected. It was filled with products I actually want to use because it's nice stuff! I am baffled with how they can give these goodies when they're not charging a premium. His rates are on par with the industry and we get prizes too?! Let me sign you up! Dr. Brian Kim is a great orthodontist, takes great care of my son, and maintains a wonderful staff. The staff is very knowledgeable, tentative and friendly. I like that you can earn Kim's cash. It's great encouragement for kids to take care of their teeth and braces. After $50 you cash it in for items, like a shuffle, etc. I highly recommend Dr. Kim for your ortho care. The only downside is he is in the Valencia office on Thursdays only, but is in his Granada Hills office (15 mins away from Valencia) the rest of the week. read more

First off I have to say my teeth are nice and straight. Having straight teeth really makes it worth all the time you spent having braces on. Years back I got a consultation from another Dr and I was required to take out two teeth so I decided to wait it out. A few years back I went to Dr. Brian Kim's office and was told that I could keep all my teeth and have a nice smile. I have to say one of the best parts of my appts are the fact that Dr Kim is so nice and all his staff is very professional and kind. Dr has not only made the experience nice but his ideas of prizes for patients make it even better. He really take it a step further on making you feel welcome at his office. Such things as: Birthday Posts on the walls/TV, Welcome packages for new patients, Video game area (good for kids), and state of the art equipment. Now that I have graduated from braces, I can smile freely without covering my mouth or being ashamed of my teeth. Checked out three or four orthodontists when it came time for my son to go into braces. I was impressed from the moment I walked in the door at Dr. Kim's offices. Everyone is very professional and courteous and my child actually enjoy going. Our initial assessment was so quick and comfortable as compared to everywhere else it was difficult to believe they were all in the same line of business. That Dr. Kim had some of the most competitive prices was just a pleasant plus. Before we even committed to anything, Sandra, the one in charge of insurance billings worked hard to gather as much information as she could on insurance estimates to help us select exactly the right insurance plan during open enrollment so our out of pocket expenses were as low as possible. It's been about 19 months since we started and with my son about to come out of braces in the next few months, my daughter is going into them. My daughter was being followed for the better part of a year and Dr. Kim kindly provided a plan. I was confident in entrusting my daughters care with them. However, the office manager was very patronizing and condescending to me and said that upon the MD deciding that my daughter needed a higher level of care if I wanted a referral letter I would be charged $250. I have proof of this email. Dr. Kim no longer could see my daughter because her care became too complex. This is fine. Had he given me a second of his day to explain this I would rate a 4. All I received was poor patient customer service with the office manager actually attempting to argue with me. I kindly, said thank you and I'm sorry that I as a parent was worried about my daughter being referred elsewhere. I felt unheard and disrespected. The letter came in the mail a week later so I guess they realized that it would be helpful and common courtesy when deciding to stop providing care to provide an explanation. I was labeled as problematic by the office manager which is a first in my life! read more
