I come here once a year on my birthday week. This is always my gift for myself. Since where I work I can't have them. But I'm on vacation. Well I come and I show a picture of what I want and tell them what I want and tell me ohh that's not what that is it this. So I'm like ok. They are the experts. Well they are doing my nails and the girl keeps texting and then talking on the phone. She kept apologizing but I kept getting annoyed but kept it to myself. My nails still turned out nice but it wasn't really what the picture showed. I have been to Studio Nails twice now. I took my nine-year-old daughter for a pedicure, and I had a fill for my nails. The staff was very attentive, and does a really good job. I also went with a group of friends to get pedicures done we got the Dead Sea pedicures and OMG it was amazing! They even serve frozen margaritas! This will forever be my go to spot! read more

The first couple of times I went here were pretty good- the people were nice and my nails turned out fine. However the last 2 times I've gotten my nails done I have been very disappointed. I came in asking for SNS with tips. The woman, Tracy, began putting french tips on me. Confused I asked her to just do regular nails instead, but she continued doing french. Throughout the process I told her 3 times that I didn't want tips, but she didn't listen to me. Once they were all on I tried once again to politely tell her that I didn't want french tips and she got mad and had another lady fix them. (I must note that this other girl whose name I dont know was very nice.) A couple weeks later I came in to get them taken off and lo and behold who did I get again? Tracy. She once again greeted me with her unfriendly presence and did a poor job. I honestly have never seen my nails look that bad after getting my sns off. Not only were my nails jagged but I left the salon with glue still on my nails. She was literally going to leave half of the plastic tip on my nail until I told her to take it off. She handled my nails roughly and was constantly on her phone the entire time. Her station was dirty and had someone else's tips all over the counter and floor. I love this new salon. I've been in twice, once for a gel manicure and once for a mani-pedi. I've received excellent care both times and have had no trouble getting taken care of when needed. Though I was there in the morning and didn't have one, they even offer a margarita with a pedicure. There are lots of chairs and lots of available technicians, great place for a girl's night. Not sure this nail salon knows what time they close. Their sign in their door says open and yelp says they are open until 7:30 but apparently they quit taking people at 7:00? Always friendly, usually very quick even without appointment. Have used them 5 times or so now for different main and pedi services. My most recent pedi was the BEST! Held up through a lot of training and a 60K trial run! And my gel nails this time around are so cute. They have also held up through gym training and work. read more

This is the 6th nail salon I've tried, and I've never been happy enough to continue going back to one certain place. Two visits here and it's officially my go to. I've had the same sweet lady do my deluxe pedicure both times. I wish I knew her name because she is the best. My gel polish lasted beautifully for an entire month. No chipping or flaws at all. This 2nd time Jimmy did my full set of sns nails, and they are flawless. He made me laugh the entire time as well which is definitely a plus. To sum up my long review, this place is awesome. Nice atmosphere but that was the only thing that impressed me. $28 for a basic (really BASIC) pedicure. You have the option to pay more, but it felt like they nickel and dime you for what most other spas would include in their $25 pedicures. Was a bit taken aback by them using Dawn liquid detergent (yes, I actually saw him use a blue substance that he poured directly from a Dawn bottle) on my legs and feet after a very short scrub/massage. Asked for nails to be trimmed and some of my toes were still fairly long and cut on a slant. There are too many other options in Cedar Park to go back here only to pay more for less service - and less quality. read more

My experience was only bad here, having had to return for a second time. When my former nail salon changed technicians, I decided to try a new place. I have been having acrylic nails done for over 20 years, in several different cities, states, and salons. I know how it should be done. I also know it is not necessary to hurt the person while doing the nails. When I first went in to them a week ago after making an appointment, I was randomly assigned to Tina. I explained to the only person there who seems to be able to translate well, a pregnant woman, that my fingers are sensitive and I don't want skin or cuticle cut or filed, as that makes my fingers painful and bleed. Not to mention that this is unsafe and unsanitary. I also said that I wanted the acrylic nails thick so that they don't chip when I use a keyboard. Further, I said I did not want the nails flat and square. This was translated to Tina, who was clearly irritated by all my requests. She roughly proceeded to ignore all, grinding the dremmel bit into the skin along the sides of my nails, as well as the nail bed and my cuticles. One was very painful and I told her to not drill my skin. She became huffy and very argumentative. She made the nails extremely short, basically to the quick with flat square tops, and the acrylic was very thin. No matter what I requested she refused, mumbling all the reasons why she was doing it right and it was the only way to do it. I didn't want polish, but asked the nails just be buffed. She began with the large sandpaper cube, tearing into my skin as much as the nails. I asked her to do it instead with the power buffer which everyone else I have ever been to uses. She insisted that hers was the "modern" way, and that the power buffer was old school. I insisted when she continued abrading my skin, and it worked just fine. I pointed out that the nails were flat across, which I did not want, and she just shrugged. I paid at least $10 more than my former salon for this abuse and poor job. Before the day was even over, and before I laid a hand on a keyboard, the nails all began chipping on the ends, and I had to keep filing down the already too short nails. It was clear that these were not done thickly, as I requested, but were extremely thin and fragile. A week later, I was tired of them catching on everything and there was nothing left to file, so I called and explained the problem and was told to come in for them to look at. The translator/pregnant woman looked at them and told me that the reason they chipped was because I had them done too thinly. I told her that I specifically asked for them to be thick, and she said they should be. She told Tina to redo them thickly. Tina was clearly huffy with this. I again told Tina that I did not want her to file them flat across, nor to file my skin. Again, she was clearly irritated and proceeded to do just that. Rather than using a slim drill bit to cleanly clear away any residue from under the nails, she used the brush full of the toxic liquid which is used to mix with the acrylic powder, to brush under the way too short nails, brushing the liquid all over the pads of my fingers. It burned like crazy and I showed her where she had "painted" that stuff all over my finger pads, and she again became irritated saying something like she won't ever work on me again. Since I had already sworn that to myself, I just wanted to leave, which is what I did the moment she was done. She was extremely rough, grabbing my fingers and filing my skin, and I wouldn't think of going there again. I again ended up with nails filed very short and flat across, as well as very tender skin surrounding my nails. I wouldn't let her touch one nail which was still sore from her original abuse, having been cut alongside the nail into the skin where she roughly filed into the skin. Before I arrived home I noticed a chip in one of the nails. I don't know if all their nail technicians are like this, but the fact that she, and that her poor techniques and attitude are tolerated there is enough to keep me away permanently. She is literally dangerous and injurious, in addition to being rough and extremely rude. read more

Had a Christmas pedicure with my daughter. Second time to use this salon. Her's was great. Mine not great. Toenails clipped uneven (not straight) and caused in-groan pain. Polish job was sloppy. Went in and talked to manager to express my displeasure the next day. Asked for complimentary pedicure for future visit. He refused. Said he would reclip in groan toenail then. Told him it need to grow out. Will not use again. Cannot recommend this new salon at all. read more

Came in for the first time for a pedicure. Had an appointment at 4:15. Place is really pretty when I came in and looks like a walk in was also wanting a pedicure. After I arrived I waited about 5 min before I was in the chair and it wasn't until 4:34 that my pedicure started. Same lady that walked in got her pedicure started first and it seemed like they just were talking too many walk ins when they don't have enough staff. I originally asked for the basic pedicure and added wax treatment but then told them nevermind on the wax because I had somewhere to be. Once the nail technician started I didn't want him to stop! The massage was so worth the wait and the massage chairs were amazing! The environment is relaxing and there are no TVs so it feels pretty zen in there with the waterfall fountain. Pedicure turned out great as I wild definitely come back just hopefully I don't have to wait too long because I did have somewhere to be! Only other thing I would have liked if the hot towel had been wrapped around my legs not placed on just the front but still so great! Paid $28! Great price for what I got! read more

I had a Classic Mani/Pedi today and I was so pleased with the Pedi! My feet were really a mess and Tiny took a long time getting my nails in shape and they look great! The leg and foot massage was wonderful! The place is really beautiful and it is obvious that attention to detail is a high priority. It is a very relaxing place and has the look of a high end spa. They appear to take sanitation very seriously here. Tiny switched off with another technician, who did my Mani and while my nails looked good, I think it might have been rushed with not enough time between coats because even though I spent at least half an hour under the UV lights to dry, within 5 minutes of leaving, two of my nails had wrinkles in them. I was really hoping to like this nail salon since it is so close to my house. Unfortunately I had a bad experience and will not be back. The customer service was horrible. I had to wait 40 minutes at the front counter while they tried to process my payment. The manager also left several other customers waiting behind me. The manager did not try to compensate my time waiting. My friend and I were not offered anything to drink during our entire time at the salon. I found that our manicure and pedicures were okay but overall the customer service was very poor. I have never written a yelp review before but I was so disappointed. I've enjoyed Studio Nails since they opened late in 2016. One of the reasons I kept returning is because of the 20% discount on your birthday. I counted down until I could use my discount. My birthday is on May 24th. I visited on Sunday, May 15th and asked if I could use my discount. I was told it needed to be used closer to my birthday but was never given a timeframe. I was out of town from 5/17 through 5/29 due to the passing of my father. I returned on 5/30 for a manicure and polish change on the toes. Upon checkout, I asked to use my birthday discount and was told you could only use it the week before your birthday. When I shared that I asked about it on 5/15 and wasn't given the same information and was out of town because of a family death, the person who checked me out said it was policy. I asked to see the policy because it only says, "discount on your birthday" on their flier and isn't written anywhere else. He kept repeating that it could only be used the week before your birthday. I'm reporting Studio Nails because their advertising is misleading and their policy is unclear (honestly non-existent). I also feel because I tried twice that they never intended to fulfill their advertised discount. I hope by sharing this with the Better Business Bureau and Yelp, they'll tighten up their procedure and not insult another long term customer. Thanks! read more
