My feet were scrubbed clean and buffed and painted to perfection. Many shops these days cut corners. However, Ms. Tina took her time with me! I'm literally SO disappointed! I recently moved to the area and wanted to find a nail salon close to home. Everything started really well but I knew it was too good to be true. I called in on a Friday morning and asked if they had any openings that afternoon, kindly I was told yes. I came in around 5:15 waited about 10 minutes and that's the quickest I've ever been seen anywhere on a Friday so I was VERY impressed. I asked for a gel pedicure but I felt it was very rushed. The guy who did my toes did give me a good foot massage so I'll give him credit for the massage. The gel pedicure took about 20 minutes if not less. I noticed that the nail polish being used looked old and dry but I didn't say anything. A lady then proceeded to do my dip power manicure. The lady was super nice but I also felt like she was rushing. My nails were short but she didn't shape them or remove the loose cuticles around my nails which is typically part of the service. I don't like confrontation so I didn't say anything, my total came out to $100 for low quality and rushed work. I tipped the workers well even though they rushed the entire time which I regret because when I got home I noticed a big chunk of polish missing from my $50 "gel pedicure". There are so many other salons in the area I will never give them my business again. I'll give them 2 stars because the lady who did my dip powder was nice and because of the foot massage other than that I'll never come here again. read more

I was so disappointed!!! I had technician Amy who was by far the worst technician I've ever experienced. My friend and I stopped in for a spa day. I was given Amy, she didn't great me, nor speak to me. The lady who greeted us at the door got the details of what we wanted. I asked to have my gel nails soaked off, cut down, and to have a regular manicure. I asked her NOT to use tools on my nails, but she insisted. I told her to please be gentle. I guess that made her mad. She did look at me nor talk with me from that time forward. She talked with other technicians in her language. Once my pedicure was complete she placed the toe separators on me wrong (picture below) Long story short my toes kept touching. I suggested that she place them on properly, she snatched them off. I pulled my foot back, she immediately fixed my toe for a second time and then complained in her language because everyone turned to look in my direction. She asked me to pay her before we were done, I payed her with my credit card, and of course I did not leave a tip. SMH read more

I've visited a lot of salons in Laurel, but Paradise is my go too. I've been a customer for 4+ years and they have constantly deliver good results. I've done acrylics, gel manicures, regular mani's, pedicures, and let's not forget ther waxing and lashes. I lived 8 minutes from the shop and recently moved 20 minutes and i make the drive to come see this ladies. I love their flare lashes. They have short, medium and long. I've tried every length and now my go too is short on the inside, and medium on the outside to give a Winged look. I always get compliments because they look so natural. The last 3, sometimes 4 depending on how well you can wash your face with having direct contact to the lashes. I've made that mistake and they don't last nearly as long. I use Q-Tips to clean around my eyes and on the lids. I prefer these lashes because they are more so much cheaper that extension and less maintenance. They are quick with their service and you're not held hostage all day. Limited wait time. They prefer cash payments so go ahead and hit up your ATM before you come. They also have an ATM on-site that charges a $3 fee. Tips preferred in cash or cash app. read more

She was very professional and she is the only person I've found to shape my nails the way I like. I have moved and still drive 30 minutes every two weeks just to get my nails done. I love it there. I met up with some friends to spend some time together. I arrived first, and I told the two employees that I was waiting for my friends. One of the employees was like, okay, sign this form and I'll take you temperature. There's no sign on the door that I needed to wear a mask nor any other indication that any other COVID19 protocols were being followed. The employees were very pushy and difficult to understand. The employee then invited me to pick my polish color. After I did so, I was ushered to a pedi/foot bath chair. At no point in this process had anyone asked what services I wanted. The other employee started working on my feet. The bath water was tepid. She handed me a service menu and asked what I wanted. I decided on the basic pedi with a foot and leg massage. She was very rough with every step of the process: the filing, exfoliating, and the "massage," which consisted of her pushing my feet/toes as far up as they could go, pulling on my toes until they popped, repeatedly digging her thumbs as hard as she could into the same spots of my shins and the tops of my feet, then lifting my feet up and pounding on the soles with her fists like tenderizing a raw slab of meat. Then she finished by wrapping my legs/feet in hot towels that were painfully hot. I told her the first towel was too hot, she muttered something and put the other one on. The actual pedicure was shoddy work: my toenails were not properly shaped and the polish is already coming off, if it was even there in the first place. One of my friends was also getting a pedicure. The employee who did her feet did the procedure differently. Her bath water was scalding hot. I was provided with disposable flipflop things and toe spacers, but her tech put her sandals back on then put on the toe spacers. She also wanted a manicure with the ring finger a different color. A third employee who was doing her mani did not fulfill her request, nor try to fix it when my friend pointed out the error. Suffice to say, I'm very dissatisfied with this establishment and will not go back. read more

It had been since the beginning of March that I had gotten my nails done, since everything shut down for the COVID-19 pandemic. I go regularly about every 2-3 weeks to have my nails done. It's my one thing I get to do to get some ME time. I'm a mom of 3 kids (4 if you include my husband lol) very close in age and work full time. So getting my nails done is so important to me. I decided to try a new place, close to my work and home.. and since my regular place was still closed, I went for it. I was stoked to be back in that chair and wanted my nails to look the best!! And that's the exact opposite of what I got.. from the start it was extremely rushed. They barely glued the acrylic on, did a sloppy job with the color.. and it wasn't even CLOSE to what I showed Them I wanted, plus it cost extra cause they used SNS dip instead of gel like I wanted.. and never talked to me about it. I figured.. "hey, they're professionals they know what they're doing and will let me know..." NOPE! After FOUR days, one of my nails came off... then another one popped off the same night!!!! I was furious!! Then when it was time for my pedicure, they had me sit there until the water got cold basically and then when someone finally came over they rushed the damn pedicure too!!!' Didn't even ask which pedicure I wanted... and I wanted the works!!! The full treatment.. NOPE!! All in all.. Before I begin this I will say that I'm a very experienced customer in nail enhancements. Since 16 I've gotten my nails done faithfully every two weeks and can count on one hand the number of poor experiences I've had. I'm 29 now. I came in for a full set, basic pedicure, and eyebrows. The service was ok, my pedi was as expected no issues. The young lady who did my eyebrows was good. My full set, however, lasted all of six days! I've never seen this! Two of my nails lifted at the bottom and my thumb nail popped off completely. My service cost $75, I shouldn't have these issues, especially when I'm always careful with my nails! I recently moved to the area and am on the search for a go-to nail salon. Ya know, a place where everybody will know my name. I used to go to Beauty Nails a little further down Route 1, but sadly my manicurist left the country...I figured I may as well find a place closer to my new home. Paradise is located in the same shopping center as Weis and on the same strip as a liquor store and papa john's. The interior is nice and updated. I went in on a Wednesday night a little after 7:30 for a Mani/pedi ($35). Wasn't sure if they'd be able to squeeze in both since they close at 8 but told me they could. I noticed another customer arrived at 8 for a gel mani, the other manicurist took her even though she had her coat on and was ready to walk out the door. How nice of them! I didn't catch my manicurist's name, he did a fairly good job overall. A couple nails weren't filed properly and there was a piece of lint stuck on my polished finger, but he corrected everything as soon as I pointed it out. He did so politely too. Overall this place is good enough, the staff is friendly and accommodating. They might even take you as they're about to close. Only downside is they didn't seem meticulous (that also could have been cuz it was late and he probably wanted to leave)- didnt wait in between coats, nails not filed perfectly, all that little stuff that bothers OCD nail freaks like me lol. However, they're very nice and are happy to fix whatever you point out right away. I'll give this place another try, probably a little earlier in the day so they don't have to rush. read more

Everything was okay until a long time client of theirs was seated next to me and I guess the Maryland mask mandate must not apply to those type of customers. I was waiting to see if someone who worked there would say anything but since they didn't I kindly asked that she please put her mask on, which she did but just over her mouth. After speaking up I felt that my pedicure was being rushed and they wanted me out of there too. If you're comfortable being around maskless individuals go for it this is your type of nail salon but I don't think I'll be returning unless they actually take COVID-19 seriously to protect themselves and their clients. read more

After waiting a few weeks to finally use it due to hectic work schedule I decided to go on a lazy Saturday afternoon for a relaxing pedi and dip powder set. It was anything but relaxing! My pedi was rushed and the massage chair didn't work which I didn't know until my feet were already in the water. The owner didn't bother to ask me if I wanted to switch she just laughed a half apology. Decided to make an appointment. Still had to wait 20 mins. Simple polish change botched. Wouldn't recommend this to a friend. All said and done it took 90 mins to get a basic mani and polish change toes. I get my nails done once a week for the past 10 yrs. this was top 3 worst experiences. I was happy with the end result. After having two "nail techs" finally someone came and took over and totally fixed everything. I would actually go back to that one person. We were off to a great start.. no wait time, the salon was super clean and the people that were there were very friendly. The young man who started our pedicures was REALLY NICE! - didn't get his name. BUT then - another lady came (Heidi???) and she proceeded to provide my services. This was anything BUT relaxing. She was RUSHING (even though there no customers waiting), she was ROUGH.... pulling, yanking and twisting my hands and rough with the tools. I told her that she was too rough.... it didn't matter. AND after she stepped on my wet toe nail, she tried to pat it down and paint OVER the hunk of polish. Later I noticed two other toes were messed up. I went in with my mother to treat us to a much needed mani and pedi. She got the dip and I got acrylic full set and a regular pedi for both. Our nails were chipping the NEXT DAY. Not to mention I found them on Instagram and asked one of the workers AHEAD of time if they could do a specific bear design I wanted since I was giving birth soon and she said yes. You can see in the pictures it was all bogus. We went back in the morning to try and fix the immediate chipping and they were so rude and said we had to pay again mind you I paid $175 for the both of us. Terrible customer service . I've been coming here for over a decade. I loved it. I come at least bi-weekly, but can come once a week. I alternate my services so I can carve out that me time. However, today is my last visit. The service is getting so bad. They don't respect my preferences, instead, they complain to one another in their L1, and its a little insulting. Especially when I am the paying customer. I'm not sure if Cindy is on extended leave, but they need to bring her back! I've been trying to tough it out without her, but I refuse to come back here. I even refuse to get the additional services I planned to get today. D-O-N-E. And I am not looking back. Good luck. (My tense are mixed as I'm typing this while my nails are drying). I drive way out my way to come here, and dont feel appreciated for it. I pass at least 10 salons btw my house and Paradise. My usual place was closed today for Memorial Day so I came here instead not knowing what to expect. Pleasantly surprised! All 8 pedicure chairs were occupied with clients when I arrived but they told me wait would be 10 minutes. I probably only waited 5. They were fully staffed - at least 12 people working. The chairs are much better than other ones I've sat in. I really liked the compression on the glutes and legs. Long was my technician. He was friendly, easy to communicate with, and gave probably the best lower leg/foot massage that I've ever gotten with a pedicure. And I'm a licensed massage therapist so I can be very picky. I also thought their prices were great. A few dollars less than my usual place! I will definitely come back and ask specifically for Long. Very pleased! read more

This salon is HORRIBLE and honestly I'm not sure if everyone there doing nails is even licensed. I've gone multiple times and each time something is wrong but i just brush it off but this time my actual nail was damaged (I usually get acrylics). First off I asked for a soak off just to avoid this and the man ignored my request and took them off roughly with nail clippers and other nails. Then proceeded to give me a "manicure". Aka picked at my cuticles (which did not need to be done) and put clear polish. Not much filing or clipping of nails which is what I really needed. He charged me $20 and so I was like whatever and just didn't tip since I felt he did horribly, my nails were aching and still sharp and uneven. I went home and later on I took a shower and the water from the shower hurt SO bad. It's then I realized he cut my nail deeply. I went back trying to speak to a manager and no one could direct me and everyone was just looking at my nails. Then the one lady who seemed like the only one who could actually do nails there told me I couldn't get a refund but she'd redo my nails. The issue is I don't want my nails done there, and I explained to her it's always something and she kept saying she'd fix it but the point is, I want no one there touching my nails. She claimed it's her job to fix things, but this wouldn't have happened if the employees did their jobs properly and listened to what I wanted in the first place. She had an attitude and couldn't even give me and her full attention so I walked out because as a customer, you should give me your full attention and respect and not have an attitude, rudeness. I should have read the reviews. Where can I start? The guy that did my nails did an awful job; when he finished I had glue on my cuticles, uneven length and shape, the gel was sloppy. To make it worse he kept talking to another nail tech every time I asked a question. I spent $90 here, and it's safe to say that it's the worst nail job I've ever done. I'm never going back, and one word of advice for all you nail techs, speak English when you are in the presence of your customers, treat people how you would like to be treated. I own a hair salon and 70 percent of my staff speaks French, but you best believe they won't utter a word in French in the presence of my customers, it's very rude. Update(5/26): I am getting messages from their staff asking me if I am sure... YES I AM SURE ... THIS HAPPENED AT THE PARADISE NAILS LOCATED BY WEIS OFF OF RT 1! And to be fair....this incident did occur about a year ago! But it definitely happened! ---------------------------------------- Paradise nails(near weis and papa johns) CALLED THE POLICE ON ME... BEWARE OF RACIAL PROFILING!! Worst customer service ever. The staff is very rude , they talk about you , act like they do not want to help you, and laugh in your face. The one Lady who is a little younger than everyone else, who has more of an American accent, has the worst customer service ever. She called the police on me because I wanted to pay using an AMEX gift card.there were no signs saying they do not accept American Express cards... if there had been I would have never been serviced the worst pedicure of my life from this low quality nail factory. She was being extremely racist and lying saying I was trying to leave without paying my bill. Which was not the case and I explained to her my options.... either I had to go home and get my other cards or she can accept the gift card I offered to give her. I even checked the balance on the phone with her and everything to confirm there was money on the card. She insisted someone come bring me money, 8pm on a weeknight for a $25 pedicure bill that was awful anyway. So she decided to call the police! Even the officer who arrived thought it was ridiculous. But certainly the lady was just being racist over $25 to cause a scene acting like I was trying to leave and not pay my bill and making it seem like I was trying to hurt her or something when she was the one being rude and disrespectful while I patiently waited for the officer to arrive! Note to management I hope you have signs saying what credit cards you accept. And do not call the police on your black customers, that is the highest form of racism and to pretend like your black customers are trying to do something bad is just awful! read more
