Very Disappointed With Paradise Pools Paradise installed our pool in 2008, and because of our history with the company, I recently contacted them when I needed some decking repairs. I also initially needed a new pool pump. I called Paradise on a Saturday to request an estimate. They couldn't come out until Wednesday. Since I needed to get our pool back up and running for our granddaughter's swim lessons, I found another company that was able to replace the pump on Monday. I still needed Paradise to provide an estimate for the sinking decking, so I kept the Wednesday appointment. When their service technician, Larry, arrived, he looked at the decking and then called the office. He spoke with Wayne, who told him that I would have to pay a $175 service call fee. This fee had never been mentioned to me when I called to schedule the visit--neither verbally nor otherwise. I told Larry that I was not willing to pay a fee that had never been disclosed and asked him to leave my property. I also pointed out that the concrete around the gas line installed by Paradise was sinking. Larry told me that this was due to the soil not being properly compacted before the concrete was poured. I am extremely disappointed with how this was handled. Paradise installed our pool, and we even referred another customer to them at the time. Given that history, I expected much better customer service and communication. If there is a $175 service-call charge just to come out and provide an estimate, that should be clearly disclosed when the appointment is scheduled. Had I known about the fee beforehand, I could have made an informed decision about whether to have them come out. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I will not be using Paradise again and cannot recommend them. read more

My dad recently passed. He had been using this service since he had his spool built in 2010ish. They have absolutely destroyed the pool with just throwing in chemicals (on video) and doing nothing else. Coping is deteriorating and has been for the past 10 years that we have asked him to take legal action. He just kept telling us he took care of it. We now call to find out a pool supply company was charging $115/mo for a service that only includes checking chemicals. The auto fill valve is not functioning properly, there was a broken pipe leaking water externally, the pebble tech is deteriorating. I've been a pool owner for three years now. I found paradise pools about 1 1/2 years ago. So far they have been the most honest and upstanding company that I've dealt with. My pool equipment went out about six months ago and they sent a tech, and they could've really stuck it to me, but they didn't. They replaced the turbine inside and that was all that was needed at the time and it worked perfectly fine. I recently had to buy a new pump motor system and it works perfectly fine. im very happy with the service. This is a very honest company with impeccable standards, and very good technicians. The prices are fair and they're honest. Supply wise, they have always check my water. Let me know what was needed and never upsell me with stuff that I didn't need. They do have a small selection chemicals, tools, gear, toys so its a no frills operation that's straight to the point. I 100% recommend them for all your service needs! read more

My first visit/impression and I really can't see coming back here (even though it's very close to my house). I went in first time young guy behind counter [on phone] I said this is my first time here my husband sent me I need a 4 pack of chlorine. He told me bring them in and exchange it. I can say he really didn't do anything wrong but I was struggling carrying the chlorine and had my granddaughter with me who is 6 and she actually had to open the door for me and it was a very hot day. I can't believe the customer service I was just provided. Before I could get a word out the female representative was asking questions. She'd barley would let me respond before she'd throw out another question. Her tone was terrible. I bought a $400 pool pump and it leaves my pool green and foggy with particles. It's never fully cleaned my pool since I bought it. Honestly, I thought it was user error and kept researching different things to see if I could correct it. I figured it out through her questions I was doing everything right. It's not user error it's a crappy pump. $400 I spent on a single item at your store you'd think I'd get more than look in the manual or call the manufacture for warranty. Even if that's all she could've done for me. I would have understood, but the lack of customer service or at the least human decency. She was absolutely terrible to talk to, she talked to me like I was stupid. Don't waste your money at this place! Oh yeah and when I asked if I could return it, she said no it's a 10 day return policy. Wow! 10 Days for a $400 pool pump seems a little unreasonable. She was not helpful and just pushed me off to the manufacture. I get better help from my 2 year old. And if she was the owner... I don't know how she maintains customers especially during a pandemic. We visited Paradise Pool Supplies & Repairs to pick up a small part for our pool cleaner and to test our pool water. The staff member who assisted us with testing the water was excellent. Although I do not recall her name, she was very friendly and was able to assist us in estimating how many gallons of water were in our pool. She provided us with a detailed list of chemical levels in the pool and made suggestions on how many additives were needed. In regards to the small part we needed, the good news is that they had it in stock. The unfortunate news was that it was a little pricy. I located the same part online for about 25 percent less. All in all, if you need something now, this is the place to go. If you need your pool water tested, do not hesitate to go to Paradise Pool Supplies and Repairs. read more

I recently moved into a home with my first ever pool. Needless to say, I knew absolutely zero about the equipment and maintenance for it. Thankfully, I found Paradise Pool Supplies and signed up for the weekly maintenance. I also had a technician out to walk me through the equipment, how to use a automated system and give me a quick Pool Owner 101 class. And even though it is an older pool, Paradise Pool Supplies has been amazing at keeping my pool crystal clear and communicating with me about my pool and coordinating for services. After looking all through COVID a for a pool cleaning company we found Paradise Pools. The pricing seem affordable however there was always one issue or another and we never really got our pool cleaned/vacuum. The technician continue to leave notes on our door of why he couldn't vacuum , why the tablets weren't inserted, etc. And it was a continued back and forth with the ladies in the office trying to figure out why the pool wasn't cleaned as it what was agreed on. Furthermore, even though the pool wasn't cleaned we still got billed for complete services. I definitely will NOT recommend them to clean your pool. We are back to the drawing board looking for a reliable and responsible Pool Cleaning Company. read more

I feel like they purposely set you up for failure because they offer Pool Service. I truly regret going in there. They are just out to sell their service. Lady is annoying walks around behind you giving her unsolicited answers and comments. I sent in my daughter unknowing of how it was in the store. After spending over $300 and my Pool still no improvement in chlorine and being asked use our "100 fleet pool service" that's when I knew that they are just in it to soliciting their pool service. I did go to Leslie pool service instead and they did have the huge bucket of chlorine and after one pouring 1 lb, my Pool chlorine is where it's suppose to be. I know I'm not to use too much but this bucket will save me from multiple trips to the store. I hope it will last 3/4 of the year and save me money. read more

Honestly my family and I have been coming to Paradise for years now (since we got our pool about 10 years ago) and going through some of the bad reviews I felt like I needed to say something to it. All of the people have been friendly, consistent, and super helpful to my family and I. Everytime we had an issue they were able to work to gather to solve it. It's unfortunate that one mistake or one bad time can ruin someone perspective of this place. I hope that's not the case. They products have worked, their customer service is great, and our pool guys have done a great job. Our pool is clean, running properly and overall beautiful! I've been home when they have done their job, even though they may have not known I was there, they always did eexactly as we expected. No pools left running, no rudeness (I've talked to then before and they're all friendly). We've have about 2 or 3 pool guys over time but each have been kind. My mom doesn't have yelp, but she wanted to day this, "I feel Paradise Pools employees have gone above and beyond any normal pool company they have come in times of needs of emergencies where the winds knocked out our filter lid and they repaired it within a day. We installed a new pool chlorinator that we purchased at Paradise (for the best sale price) and couldn't figure out why the pool was turning green: Operator Error :-) Kat knew just what to do after asking detailed questions and figured it all out. She is a wealth of information! She explained what to do in detail and was patient with me while I took notes on my phone. They know what they're doing at this supply store. We are contractors and needed a pond, that had be sitting for 3 years, to be serviced, in Chino Hills. Paradise was recommended by a previous owner of Town and Country Pools. I called and talked to Justin, one of the owners and explained what we needed for our customer, who had a pending sale on the house. This was a RUSH! He went out himself and looked at it, and called me with an estimate. The pump needed to be replaced (had to be ordered), as well as the pond needed to be drained. He had his technician go back out the next day and drained and refilled the pond, adding chemicals. The pump came the next day and they went back out and installed it! Wow! I would give them a ZERO star. I have used the for a year but in the last few months, their quality of service has gone really bad because they have acquired more customers than they can handle. Their cleaners don't show up as scheduled leaving us clueless when our pool will get cleaned. Their billing department sometimes forgets to send the bill and ends up sending all at once after months. It is hard to track since I do all online payment and without a bill coming from them leaves us clueless but regardless, we paid all of their pending bills. The problem started when a new guy Joe started to service our pool. He lies a lot and left our pool off once after the service and another time my pool was running for more then 24 hours straight. Imagine our the electricity bill. When I called to question them, they say that there is a programming problem. They send a person to check and he finds nothing wrong with our system and leaves after 30 minutes. They make promises for a certain labor charge but bill you for extended hours. After all my complains to them about my recent service, they didn't do anything about it blaming all on my equipment programming. This company will charge you for any little thing possible even when it is their employees mistakes. They always blame it on the malfunction of the equipment. Find yourself another reliable company that will not suck you for every penny. read more

Was gonna do it myself, but when I talked to Guy at this place he gave me such a good deal on the pump with installation included that the installed price beat just the price of the pump motor at all the other places I found.
