Although I was about to purchase a hot tub from a large, well known dealer in Corona, I decided to look at Custom Spas Direct, which has good online reviews and happens to be very close to our house. I'm glad I did. I was not familiar with the Vita spa brand that Custom Spas Direct sells. There's very little information available online. After doing some digging, I determined that Vita is a decent, mid-range spa with competitive pricing. Nothing fancy, but it's built with good components from companies like Balboa Water Group. Dealing with Custom Spas Direct has been fantastic. It's a small company and we interacted directly with Jim Galpin, the owner. Jim is a straightforward guy and he was very helpful in choosing a spa. Since I was unfamiliar with Vita, I had a lot of questions and he patiently answered all of them. He quickly responded whenever I sent him a text with a question or request. After the purchase, he was super flexible with regard to delivery, setup timing, coordinating with the electrician's schedule, etc. The delivery and setup was quick and well done. The installer did a good job answering all of my questions. We've had the spa six months and have had a couple of minor issues. One was probably due to user error on my part and the other was not. In both cases, Jim responded to my texts immediately and quickly resolved my issue, even during a holiday week. I'm so glad I purchased from a local dealer that provides such fantastic service after the sale. I'm sure a larger dealer would not have given us the same treatment. Thanks Jim! Five stars!

I called Hot Tub Doctor because one of the lights built into the step of my spa started leaking…read morethrough the seal. The technician came out, replaced the light, and that part went smoothly. Not long after, the hot tub began leaking from another area. I understand that draining and refilling a spa can sometimes cause things to shift or dry out, so I had them come back. The techs were friendly and professional, and they tightened a couple of jets on the lounge chair side. Unfortunately, it was still dripping a bit afterward, and in retrospect it is obviously the adjacent jet on the same chair, why not tighten them all at the same time when they are in the same area? At this point, I'm just going to fix it myself it looks like the other jet on that same chair is the source of the leak and probably could've been addressed all in one visit. Overall, nice people with great attitudes, but the service could have been a bit more thorough and proactive.

I already had a pool with this…read morehouse I bought 4 years ago but it was just one of those in ground vinyl liner pools and it was done in a way that now 23 some years later it's run its course and it was best to start from scratch and completely redo everything and go for the real pool. My challenge was I'm on a 3 level half acre lot with the pool set up in the center so this project was going definitely be different than the average back yard setup. I got a few estimates from a few different pool companies and a very good general contractorI know here in Rancho referred Kenny and Dan. They showed me there ideas and it was a way better set up than anyone else had proposed. Of course this plan was going to cost more money however Dan said if we build a pool it's something that's going to be real nice and you're going to be proud of it. I thought about it for a few weeks as these numerous pool companies all called me asking me if I was still interested as we were approaching the season to start at the end of the year and I decided I ultimately didn't want to cut corners doing more entry-level plans so I went the distance with blue waters plan. As you can see in the photos it came out came out spectacular. I have twice the deck area that I had prior a spa a heater water falls equipment that does everything by an app and in time plan to put a bar area in the large open area. They even redid did my 100 something foot wall that was starting to fall that me and my neighbor split. Buying a pool is a lot of money, but ultimately you just wanna be happy when it's done with no regrets so if you're looking to have a a pool built with no worries and to the best of it's ability You definitely want to talk to blue water. They're extremely easy to work with and their crew is great too. The rock work they do is truly like a work of art as well and reminds me of what you'd see at Disneyland only better! Although I had to continue reaching out to him and pushing to have him address the issues, he has finally remedied a portion of the concrete problem. In an attempt to remedy the problem himself, he sprayed a sealant onto the raised bond beam portion of the back yard; unfortunately, it made the issue worse. After attempts to remove the sealant, it was determined that it could not be removed. Fernando finally hired an external company to grind down the concrete and apply a new concrete layer to a knock-down finish (See photos). Unfortunately, he will not refinish the rest of the concrete that his company poured throughout my backyard, but at least he addressed the portion that he attempted to fix. That said, I commend Fernando for attempting to remedy the problem, and I do not harbor any ill will towards him or his company. That said, moving forward, I will make sure to get a signed contract with a manufacturer's defect clause for any future construction jobs I plan in the future.

Unfortunately, Anderson Pool has been the worst experience I have had with a pool company…read more I initially hired Anderson Pool to install mini pebble, a salt cell, and an autofill system. While the mini pebble itself turned out okay, we immediately began having problems with the autofill making noise and keeping us awake at night. I contacted Mike and explained that we never had this problem before their work was completed. Initially, he insisted it was not related to their installation. I eventually paid a separate plumber to inspect the issue, and I was told the noise was coming from the autofill. Mike later came out and made an adjustment. We also began experiencing issues with the salt cell. Since Anderson Pool had installed the equipment, I decided it would make sense to hire them for ongoing pool maintenance as well. Unfortunately, that created even more problems. After their pool technician changed the filter, I noticed water leaking from underneath my filter equipment. I called Laura, the office manager, because it was after hours and I did not know what I should do. I ultimately turned the pool off for the night. The following morning, I contacted Mike for guidance and was told Laura handled the service issues. When Laura called me, the conversation became extremely unpleasant. She was upset that I had contacted them regarding the problem and told me I could not keep calling them for issues. I explained that their service had left me with a leaking pool system and additional work that I did not know how to handle. I asked for the pool technician's phone number so I could communicate directly with him, and she refused to provide it. The conversation became argumentative, and I finally told her they could cancel my service and bill me for the month. Afterward, Mike told me he would personally come to my home, make sure everything was handled correctly, and supervise my pool service going forward. Based on that conversation, I believed the situation had been resolved. Two weeks later, however, nobody had returned to service my pool. I called to find out when the technician was coming back to correct the issue and maintain the pool, only to be told that my service had been canceled. I was shocked because after my conversation with Mike, I had understood that he was going to oversee the service moving forward. At the very least, I believe someone should have notified me that they had decided to discontinue service so I could immediately arrange for another company to maintain my pool. This has been an extremely frustrating experience, particularly because my previous pool company maintained my pool for approximately seven years until we moved, and I never experienced anything like this. Attached is the mess they left for me to clean. This review reflects my personal experience with Anderson Pool. Based on that experience, I would not use this company again.
