For the cost I thought it was well worth it. Guy in the clubhouse was nice to me, sounds like a different guy than is mentioned in the previous reviews. Cart path is rough to say the least, but it gets you were you need to go. Did seem to have fairways that were close together so people were hitting from random fairways more often than I have seen before. I will be back to play here again. read more

Extremely rude employees in the pro shop. My husband booked a round for himself and a friend, and the pro shop employee who was working on 3/22 around 4pm (probably Jeff, based on other reviews) had a foul attitude and was basically yelling at the guys as he rushed them through check-in. (For example: "Make a decision, RIGHT NOW, cart or walk, or I'm giving your spot away.") Word to the wise: Take your business elsewhere. It's not worth getting belittled just to save a few bucks on golf. read more

Paradise valley golf course is one of my favorite courses as a beginner it works for me! It's not a big golf course. 61 par 4082 length which makes it perfect for me. But the customer service is always very good. The folks there are always friendly and informative. They also have a good snack bar available. read more

I see all the comments pertaining to the older gentleman in the pro shop. I think it's quite funny because if you give respect he will give you respect. You get what you paid for I mean if you're trying to practice this is a great place and it's pretty affordable. They have a driving range and a place to practice chip shots. What a dog track. Greens were never overseeded and are trash. Fairways are full of trash and weeds. Will never play here again. Staff was rude as could be. On the first tee box at 1pm and had to wait 20 minutes for the mower to clear. Place is a joke to golf. If you love the game and want to play at a reasonable place DO NOT GO HERE. I enjoy playing and practicing at Paradise Valley Golf Course. The staff is kind and considerate. I want to give an extra shout out to the Keepers of the Greens and the Maintenance Crew. Especially the gentleman who was caring for the 18th green on Wednesday August 14, 2024 at around noon. It was an extremely hot day and he was working really hard, and I want to thank him for it. This may be the worst course I've ever seen. I don't think they have a single mower on the grounds. Even the driving range grass was long and uneven. The cart paths looked like an episode of ice road truckers or maybe the Baja 500. It was also laughable that it was 90° only on the "fairways". I guess they don't want you to damage the dirt and weeds. I mean we were laughing about the horrid conditions with the group behind us as we waited on almost every tee box. Of the three groups in front of us, two of them were fivesomes. The guy in the pro shop was very nice as was the girl in the kitchen/bar, but I wouldn't play this goat farm again for free. read more

I've been going here for years and it's sad to see the place in constant decline. This place has so much potential but unfortunately it's not realized. The cart paths are full of potholes, fairways are full of dirt, there's no beverage cart on course, and the guy in the pro shop is probably one of the most miserable people I've ever met. Do not go here! If you have read any reviews from the past year about this place you know of the older man who runs the shop. I believe him to be the most hate filled person I have ever encountered. Prior to our interaction, I saw him get into a confrontation outside with a customer and then berate someone on the phone when I guess they bothered him by calling. He then ignored me for 30 uncomfortable seconds (we were 3 feet apart) and proceeded to turn his rage on me. I had the nerve to ask for 2 carts for 2 people which may be the weirdest trigger I have ever come across, especially because I said I would pay for 2. I just left during the middle of his tantrum. The details of the time inside are far worse but I assume he reads these reviews of himself and wears them as a badge of honor. Why give this cantankerous old man any more attention. And why would you put someone like this in a customer service role? This place used to be fine for what it was. When a guy named Tucker ran the front, it was peaceful, friendly and a good way to play some relaxing golf. This is my only 1 star review which should say something. Don't support this place. Definitely do not take your kids here. Just don't. read more

If you think the course is bad, wait until you talk with the employees! I called the pro shop and booked a team time on a Monday for that Friday for two (the entire morning was open schedule as far as I can see online at this time) , we show up Friday and once the pro shop employee finishes his cigarette, he tells us they don't have our tee time. Won't squeeze us in even though the course was pretty empty, no apology, no attempt to see what happened. Just downright rude about it. (My wife, who heard me make the reservation, thinks employees name is Jeff who said he booked us, different guy Friday who wouldn't help us). That is the most BASIC function of a pro shop - take tee times. How you confirm one, then suddenly lose it and make no attempt to make it right is beyond me. But that's ok, I've played here once before and it is hands down the worst maintained course in the greater Phoenix area, so we weren't missing much. There's a reason why there's so many bad reviews, so if you wanna take a chance because it's a cheap round, just know you may not even get to play. read more

The last few times i went there to hit golf balls I had to go through a cloud of cigarette smoke to get in the Pro Shop. The angry, low class, old guy who works in the Pro Shop pretty much smokes right next to the entrance. He might as well smoke inside. All the balls i paid for have been used so there is no need to go back. read more

This is my second time golfing at PV Park golf course. We were able to start on the back nine, and had no one in front or behind us. Their carts are really nice, and very clean. The greens were in perfect shape! The staff in the pro shop were very helpful. The bathroom is out on the course could use some work for sure, but the price is right! I will definitely be golfing there again read more

Course was in horrible shape, will not be going back. The younger golf pro was polite and good at his job, however, The older "gentleman", who is supposedly a golf pro, was obnoxious. Eventually caused me to loose my temper and become obnoxious as well. While I regret the way I reacted, I will not be returning and subjecting myself to that kind of environment. read more

I recently took up the game and my husband and I play here because it's good for beginners and close to my home. I have never encountered a rude person as I am reading on other reviews but the course is pretty dry. My biggest complaint however, are the water fountains. They are run down and falling apart. The water is hot and tastes gross. Though I bring my own, during these hot days I often need a refill but I can't bring myself to drink from them. The driving range has the huge coolers with ice water but they are near the 1st hole. Please remove the fountains and put these coolers at the holes. I've been to other courses where they have them and not only do they hydrate but because they're cold, it revives the body to continue the game. Thanks! read more

Been golfing at this course about 5 times and every time it's in worse condition. If you do not hit your ball on the green it will most likely be in dirt or weeds. Almost pointless to try and hit a wedge because you can't get under the ball with the solid dirt surface. Bunkers are a mix of sand and grass. The greens were either overgrown or dead. There was even 1 green on the 16th that had a decent sized hole in it. To top it off there is no cup to keep the holes in tact, there were a couple holes that looked like an oval because dirt had eroded away. I feel like this course gets minimal care in winter and neglected in summer. The only plus is the new front desk guy is nice and upbeat and the beer is pretty cheap. Only go here if you are going with relatively new golfers. It was only $20 bucks this weekend and I still felt robbed . read more

We arrived for our 2:15pm tee time and the old fuck in the pro shop immediately started yelling at us because there was a junior league golf team with a tee time behind us. The man proceeded to tell us we could not go onto the course because we were "late" and there was no more tee times for today. To my understanding this miserable old twat believes everyone should show up 30 minutes prior to their tee time. The course is unkept and other employees were shouting at golfers for hitting balls out of the green on accident. I would not recommend this course to anyone unless they like being belittled by a dirty disrespectful old man. read more

I am leaving this 5 star review because of all the 1 star reviews on the gentleman in the pro shop. He seemed a bit stressed because of how busy it was although I asked him if I could squeeze a 5th person on and he said yeah he could make it work no problem with a full tee schedule. If I could give fractions of a point this place deserves it, like maybe a half point or maybe a -1 would be more accurate. They should pay people to play here instead of charging them. Even if they did I wouldn't go back it was that bad. The fairways look abandoned, the grass is as long as the rough (can't tell the difference). It was so long that I lost a ball that I hit right down the middle. The Bermuda grass covered it completely. WTF! The sand in the bunkers was as hard as clay with a few weeds growing in it. WTF! The greens were burnt and bumpy and a couple of holes didn't have any cup in them. WTF! How they can pass this off as a golf course is beyond me. If you enjoy playing golf stay away from this place. Seeing as I am not exactly an avid golfer (yet), I have to admit that I enlisted the help of the day's golfing partner (my dad) in writing this review. This was necessary due to the fact that I haven't picked up a club since 1993, and good ol' dad hits the greens just about every weekend, so this guy knows what he's talking about. I also want to clarify that this review is only on the driving range portion of the golf course. Maybe in a couple months I will be a good enough golfer to write a review about the actual course portion. In the mean time... We went to the driving range at about 4pm on a Saturday. There were quite a bit of people there, but we didn't have to wait for a spot on the range, although we did have to wait for one of the range workers to bring us a token for our second bucket of balls, which he did before we finished our first bucket, so all was good. My dad said that this was the busiest he had seen it. As far as the actual driving range itself, I think it was in okay condition. They have the colored flags that let you know how far your ball went (or in some cases, didn't go), which were pretty easy to see, but the grass was only in fair condition. The balls were also a little worn out, and yellow, which I thought was a bit odd. I'd like to blame this for many of my poor shots. I'd like to, but I won't. Overall, on the scientific scale I devised, Dad says this was just about in the middle on a scale of Fiddlesticks to TPC Scottsdale. The grass and equipment could have been maintained better, but for the price for a couple buckets of balls ($6 for two buckets, I think), it's a pretty fair deal. On the plus side, they also offer putting practice greens as well as an area for practicing chip shots out of the bunker. Not that I will ever be hitting any balls into bunkers. Right. A big thanks to my dad, Norm for his expertise, and to my sister, for leaving her golf clubs here when she moved back to Florida, thus allowing me to explore my newfound hobby. read more

I cannot even believe how rude the man at the counter was today. I had purchased a range card a number of years ago for this course for ten buckets at a discounted price, which never expired. Four buckets had been redeemed on the card; I had some spare time so I headed up there to get in some practice. I went to the counter and said 'one large bucket please' and put my range card on the counter. The man said that card is of no use to them. I asked why, as there were still six buckets left to redeem. He said they haven't taken those cards in over two years and that if I wanted a bucket it would be ten bucks. Now, I'm not looking for free stuff here-I paid for ten buckets and played four. I said to the man 'so you're saying I'm screwed out of the rest of the money on the card?' and he told me 'yeah'. You pay for what yoy get here and probably less. Sixty bucks to rent and play the course. The two men who were working here were extremly rude right from the start. The gold cart they gave us was covered in a sticky substance and whrn I went in to ask for a rag the employee fully ignored me. I ended up having to get my own rag and water,it down from the hose I found outside to clean off the cart myself. Last down side was no liquor liscense. Oh yeah and they frisked my friends backpack to see what he had in it. Lame ass folk here. Again if your looking to just eff around with your friends and enjoy a nice day it works but beyond that avoid at all costs. read more

We went to golf today at the course. We paid for 18 holes because that's what we normally play. The course was in bad shape. It has been raining so we understood and played on anyway. We suffered through 7-8 holes of a poorly maintained course, and since we wanted to play 18 we called the shop to order food. The grilles had already closed down at 3pm. No more food other than candy. We then went in and said we would like to get a refund for the last nine because we weren't going to continue playing since there was no food available. The guy said that since we touched the course we couldn't get any money back. Poorly maintained, sub par employees, grill lady had nothing ready, had to wait 20 minutes for the first hotdog at noon. Bottom line, it is not inexpensive to play here. 30 dollars for 18 holes. No food, employees are not friendly. Plenty of places to play with much better greens and employees. Especially for the money. read more
