I hosted a casual golf social called "Phoenix on Par" February 3rd and it was nothing short of amazing. Not only was the weather perfect but the staff was impeccable. We had fun on the driving range then went over to the clubhouse for drinks and food. My guests loved everything about the experience. I definitely plan to return for more practice and bring some of my "golf gals" along!!

Very nice course with a wonderful staff at affordable pricing. We used our Troon card and had no issues securing a noon tee time. With winter temps warmer in the afternoon, a midday tee time was preferred. I enjoyed the back nine over the front. I thought the back nine was more picturesque. Being new to the course and golfing with another couple who were also first-timers, we had no issues figuring out where to go. There is one blind hole but there was a button system in place so you did not hit into anyone. Fairways and greens were in great shape. One water hole on the course and a couple of desert areas to hit over. Sand was not a major factor. Very nice experience.

    Plenty of carts.

Disappointed Regular: Inconsistent Service at Lookout Mountain Golf Club. 2/13 12:50. As a long-time regular at Lookout Mountain Golf Club, I've always appreciated the scenic beauty and challenging layout of the course. However, my recent experience left me deeply disappointed and questioning whether I'll return. Having a Troon card has been a perk, providing not only discounted rates but also including a cart. So, upon arrival, I was taken aback when informed that carts were unavailable, and I was required to pair up with another golfer or pay an additional $35 for a cart. This contradicted the very essence of the Troon card program, which promises inclusive cart services. If they are out of carts, I get it. They have well over 30 sitting with golfers coming off 18 everything 15 mins. The confusion escalated when I noticed numerous carts sitting unused outside. When I raised this concern, the response from the pro shop lacked any semblance of customer service. The explanation provided - "we don't know who else will come" - only added to the frustration. Even the cart attendants seemed baffled by the inconsistency. This experience felt like a blatant money grab, leaving me feeling undervalued as a loyal patron. The lack of transparency and disregard for customer satisfaction tarnished my perception of a course I once held in high regard. Ultimately, it's not just about the carts; it's about the principle of fair treatment and honoring the promises made through programs like the Troon card. As a regular, I expected better, and sadly, Lookout Mountain Golf Club failed to meet those expectations. Until there's a clear commitment to consistent service and genuine customer care, I'll be taking my golfing elsewhere. If management responds with we didn't have carts and have others after your tee time, that's flat out wrong. I can book tee times every 20 mins from 2:10 through 4:40 so afternoon bookings don't seem to be a problem.

A very well maintained, beautiful golf course. The views from most tee boxes, particularly the 10th, were fantastic. The wide fairways and relatively few hazards make it playable for players of every level. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable experience; highly recommended if you're in the Phoenix area.

What a nice golf club. The range has many targets to aim for and good golf balls to hit. The staff was very nice and informative. As for the golf course I love it what a layout with many tees to play from. The greens were excellent and fast. There was plenty of water on the course and a beverage cart. I need to mention the new golf carts were excellent to handle the up and down terrain. This is a must play golf course, I can't wait to go back.

Wow! This place hands down has the up most respectful people working here. I would definitely come back and play on the golf course again. They allowed me to go alone to soak up the view since I don't have this back home in San Antonio Tx. Thank you again for all the staff that allowed me to enjoy the course and the view.

The course is challenging and there's lots of elevation, but it's not as long as some of the other resort courses in Phoenix.

In fact, one of the first signs that you'll come across is a quote by Tiger Woods. "Some of my happiest memories are of spending time with my Pops on the golf course having putting contests." Awww! I came with my fam and for the adults it's $30 a person and for kids it's $20 for all day putting. It includes your golf club rental and a ball. You can also have the option of opting out of the cost if you just want to watch and in my case, I was just going help my kiddo and observe. We wanted to have lunch first and the food is actually pretty good! I actually got the burger in a wrap which made it feel healthier yet still savory & delicious! There is also a shaded playground, foosball and ping pong tables. There are 2 mini golf courses to choose from, black (easier and flatter) and red (harder and hillier with obstacles). It's designed like a classic putting course without the cutest obstacles. So for younger kids, they may not find it as engaging unless they are really into putting. You can also order drinks and food while on the course and it'll be delivered right to you. Overall, it was a fun experience!

The last time I played putt-putt was probably when I was a kid, but once we got started, I was hooked. It was so much fun! I also loved that it's indoors and nicely air-conditioned, which is a huge plus in Arizona. The venue itself is really cool, with a great bar area downstairs and another bar upstairs. And I have to give a HUGE shoutout to Nick, the bartender upstairs. He was genuinely one of the best bartenders I can remember having in years. He was incredibly personable, friendly, and fun. I'm pretty introverted, but somehow Nick had me talking, laughing, and excited to try cocktails I normally wouldn't order. He was basically the life of our entire group, and everyone absolutely loved him. I'm still wondering why they stuck him upstairs because he was such a huge part of what made our experience so great! Overall, Puttshack is such a fun venue for an event or party, and I'll definitely be bringing my family here the next time they're in town. Great atmosphere, great drinks, and a genuinely fun experience.

Our golf was scheduled for 6p so we arrived a little early and decided to grab a drink at the bar. I saw the cucumber fizz on the cocktail menu and thought it looked delicious, but I don't drink gin. I asked the bartender if he could make it with vodka instead. He told me he couldn't substitute the gin because they have to inventory their alcohol. Strange - but OK. I asked if they are a full bar and he said yes. I then asked if he could make me a vodka soda with simple syrup, cucumber, and mint. His response was that he couldn't make it because there was no way for him to charge me for the extra ingredients. This is where I was honestly baffled. I wasn't asking for anything complicated or unreasonable. I'm not sure if the bartender was complying with policy or just didn't want to make a custom drink, but it's a full bar. The bartender could have offered an alternative but instead I was told it couldn't be done. The interaction was really disappointing. The mini golf itself was OK, the sensors didn't track 3 of our putts. We were told to report to one course to start but then got asked to start at another course. We were given balls with no explanation of how their sensor system works, so our first hole was a mess. We later saw other people checking in and getting the full run down on all the rules and nuances so we definitely missed out on the welcome factor. This was supposed to be a child-free date night, and being unable to enjoy a cocktail we actually wanted really put a damper on the experience. Could we have ordered something else? Totally. But the interaction with the bartender just made us not want to order anything. I would hope a full-service bar to could have some flexibility and, frankly, a little creativity. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here.
