Really like stopping here to practice. Pros: They've done a lot of improvements for the past couple of years. New balls, ball trackers, replaced some of the older mats, etc. They're currently building a facility to serve food and drinks. Bathrooms are reasonably clean. There's a fantastic golf shop attached and service is amazing. Cons: Without fail there are a handful of dysfunctional or out of order bays. The Trackman golf sensors often misread or miss a shot and there's no way to fix it. Bays and screens look like they've never been cleaned (tons of dust). I'm not too crazy about the table and chairs. I find the stool chairs (over the lower metal ones) to be very uncomfortable and tables just collect dirt (more things that should be cleaned). Overall I highly recommend this place, they just have a few things to work on. read more

Amazing driving range. They have just about everything you need in terms of practicing your game. They have the track man so you can analyze each shot. They have some bays with real grass in case you don't want to hit off the mat. They have an area to practice chipping. They even have a sand trap to hit out of. I recently visited your facility Monday June 16th and wanted to share my experience regarding the closing procedures. While I appreciate the hard work of the associates, I noticed that the turf/ grass (whole right side of the range ) area was closed off at 9:00pm and no yellow baskets were available to use, despite the facility being open for another hour. This led to some confusion, as it felt like the associates were rushing to close down. Since the whole right side of the range was closed down, I think I should have been informed while purchasing my 75 balls that I would only have access to the covered ground level of the range instead of reminding me they close in 30 mins. After I tried to get balls from the machine and it not working, I proceeded to ask an associate if the machine was down and he said "no" and confirmed the whole right side was shut down already. Additionally, around 9:35 PM, an associate turned off the misting system, which I find unreasonable given that it's the middle of summer with temperatures over 100 degrees at night. I felt rushed and what made it worse was getting reminded 3 separate times how much longer I had by 3 different associate. l understand that closing procedures can be challenging and the associates want to get out on time, but I hope that my feedback can help improve the experience for future visitors. I do enjoy this place, as stated in some other comments the trackmans frequently misread your shots, pickup on a neighboring bay, or simply don't read your shot at all. The new mats they added feel thin and cheap, wish they would've invested in ones that are thicker with padding beneath to mimic more of a real course experience. The practice green is good and rolls true, however the bunker practice areas green is hard as concrete and needs some TLC. Some of the bays the tee area is pretty darn close to the netting separating bays but nothing to lose sleep over. Overall never a bad experience just find it hard to get beneficial practice with the current setup. read more

I've been to the driving range a couple of times now, and I do really love the idea of it. The shaded bays really come in handy during the summer time too. The putting green is cool and quite challenging. Small complaint, but I do wish they would switch their range balls to a standard white golf ball as it's pretty hard to see the landing of the yellow golf balls. The games that you can play were also somewhat confusing on where to aim and some golf shots wouldn't get picked up by the track man technology. Overall, a really cool driving range that I will continue to visit. read more

You should go check this place out. Took the family to hit some balls at the driving range and was very family friendly. Decided to book a private lesson for my daughter and it went great. They took the time to break down what she was doing and what to improve on. We ended up booking another lesson for her. So if you are new and looking for some instructions would recommend this place. We've been going to Valley Golf for quite a few years and have had great customer service in every department... using the range, apparel, equipment, club fitting, demo days, regripping, everything imaginable! Right away I was very impressed with the extensive inventory of ladies apparel! I've shopped all over the valley and online, and Valley Golf has more variety of brands AND sizes than any other golf store, hands-down! You can even shop from specific catalogues and order exactly to your style & size. The fitting for my new set of clubs was well worth the money and are just over a year old now. Along with regular lessons, having clubs that help me rather than throw off my swing has been a huge help for my game! For a long time I thought I'd need to get better before making the investment, but turns out I had that backwards! In twelve months I dropped from a 16 handicap to 10, and recently have been staying in single digits! Really really hate to give a rating this low but 4 times in a row I've paid $18 for 100 range balls and each time the TV connected to the Trackman shuts off mid session. I have very limited time to hit balls, so I didn't have the time to go back into the office and ask for the TV/trackman to be reset. Once I get, even twice. But 4 times. And I'm not the only one. Think this place upscaled too fast for their own good. Should've kept trackman on one floor and invested in more trackman devices. I unfortunately won't be back. read more

I thought this place was pretty neat. I've never been to a 2 story driving range before. I also loved the fact that it spits out the balls for you as you're ready to swing. No more bending over to place your ball down for each swing. The lanes were bigger than what I'm used to so that was a huge plus. The staff was also pretty nice and helpful. And overall, the price was decent. It didn't break the bank. I'm sure we'll be back the next time we head to Arizona. read more

Customer service is NOT a thing of the past at the Valley Golf Center on Indian School Road. We had a major family change in 2016 and had to make some adjustments. One was give to give up golf which included going to the golf center. We had prepaid cards (1 for my wife and 1 for me) which we lost. Now jumping today (2022), we decided to start golfing again by going to the golf center. We were about to purchase new cards when Dean started talking to us and I explained the circumstances. He checked the system and found us. He not only restored our cards (300+ balls on each and added a few extra on my wife's) and didn't charge us for the replacements. His attitude really made us feel comfortable and his assistance was sincere! It's customer service as this that keeps a business going! read more

Great spot to practice. The machines tee the ball up for you, tracers are fun to with multiple games. Got a couple times a week to work on my swing, got lessons there from mike as well abs they are paying off, finally broke 90. Be cool if they had a membership or subscription . My only complaint is the lefty stalls being taken up by right handed players when there are quite a few open stalls for right handed people. They clearly mark the stalls for lefties only but no one listens. To avoid confrontation I hope they come up with special pins for balls they only work on lefty stalls or something. read more

This is not your typical driving range and I mean that in the best way possible. Everything at Valley Golf Center is first class! That includes the fitting area, range, shop, and staff. I didn't really think that a driving range facility could stand out from the next, but Valley Golf Center surely does that. It's true peace of mind to not have to worry about your entire bucket of balls getting in the way during your session. At VGC, the balls pop up through the mats one by one until your amount of balls paid for runs out. A tip for the range is try to grab one of the first few stalls on the lower level to get on the Track Tee which gives you a distance and speed on each ball hit on the range. The misters on the range are more than able to keep you reasonably cool during the summer. If you get a chance, definitely check out the fitting room where they have top of the line technology. It really breaks down your swing well and how things can improve. Nothing like finding out a club you thought you hit 110 regularly, can really go 130 when hit correctly. I've had family members buy clubs and other golf assortments in the shop and they have been very happy with their purchases and with the help of the staff in the purchases. Go check it out! It's an awesome facility that is absolutely worth a drive from the East Valley and other parts of AZ. read more

Place might be a little pricey! I recently had my first experience at the Valley Golf Center and was quite pleased. Although the double-decker range is fantastic, I believe that the VGC's true gem is their pro shop. In the pro shop there must be well over 1000 clubs, all shorts of accessories, grips, repair shop, and shoes etc.. The pro shop at VGC has everything related to golf and has a lot of it. Nonetheless, the range is great. There most be twenty different greens to aim at with artificial bunkers. The mats are in good shape, and the ball dispenser that automatically places the ball on a tee of your desired height is the highlight. The lighting is also "spot on" (pun intended). Even when it is nighttime, the lighting makes the range appear as if it was high noon. The costs of balls for the range is average. I believe that 75 balls is somewhere in the ballpark of $8-$9. The reasons this is a 4-star review and not 5-star is because the mats could use replacing and the ball dispenser system call malfunction at times. While the mats are definitely playable and won't mess up your clubs, they are well worn through and could use a replacement cycle. Moreover, when I first arrived at my hitting bay, an employee had to spend ten minutes fixing my bay so that the balls would dispense. I had already entered by coupon code on the range before he attempted to fix it, and the employee must have tossed 10 of the balls I paid onto the range while fixing the dispenser. Even though it was merely a ten minute delay, it was nonetheless a disfunction and not professional. Through and through, this place is great. It is average priced, has an excellent lighting and is accompanied with a short-game bunker practice area. I will definitely be coming back to the Valley Golf Center. read more

Great Learning Environment It can be intimadating when you're learning a new sport and have lots of questions. Recently, I've had an interest in learning more about golf. As a complete amateur I was just looking to spend an hour or so hitting some balls, who would have known how much I enjoyed it. Valley Golf Center has a double-decker driving range, and offers a nice course for pros and beginners like myself to practice golf. What I found most enjoyable is I didn't feel awkward or uncomfortable because I was a beginner. I have to admit I do not know the difference between artificial turf and real grass and how that affects your golf game. However, the landing area looks and feels great, and the cost of hitting a few buckets seemed inexpensive, and you can usually find great deals on Groupon. I think I'm ready to take some lessons at Valley Golf Center. The staff is knowledgeable and accommodating. It's a nice change to have staff go out of their way to help you make educated decisions and feel welcomed regardless of your experience level. read more

Great driving range with many targets, nice bunker, but not a huge fan of the putting green. The store is very large and has whatever items you would want. I do wish they had a few better sale items on merchandise but that is me being picky. I really enjoy the facilities and am happy to have a nice place like this is the west valley. read more

I came out here to reintroduce myself to golf after 15+ years of not playing due to a number of physical ailments such acute neuropathy of the feet and a severe wound which left my right foot with two toes fewer. From the moment I entered the door, I was treated in the same way a 20 year customer would be treated. They listened to my basic story (did not go into details) and helped me select two hybrids to try out (I never had played a hybrid before). And, when they set one up to try a club. they provide about 25 balls go try it on the range. I did not buy a club until 3 visits later. They stayed with me to make sure I was happy with the purchase and even talked me out of a grip change after measurements and watching a swing. The range is outstanding with even auto teeing to a height you prefer. As well, a meter track to your swing speed (the length of hit is suspect as it said I hit 1198 yards on a worm-burner I saw go MAYBE 50!) But that is a minor detail. Fans and misters keep the range cool even on very hot days (though I tend to be one of the first there). Wide range of new and used clubs and I never got the feeling they are trying to sell me the deal of the week. Easy to find, great parking. read more
