This is a review for the dog park. Doesn't seem to be a specific option to review it on Yelp. My wife and I are VERY concerned about the safety of our boys so when we took them here at only 9 months it was because of the Google reviews and a lot of convincing on my part. They LOVE it and so do we. We don't have the tallest or most confident dogs so we stick to the small dog park which butts up against the large dog park. There's a big fence blocking them off. There's plenty of benches and a ramada for the 2-legged visitors. I'd say there's about a dozen trees to provide shade. Both of the dog parks are about the size of a football field in total size. Not every dog is as eager to play as our boys are, but any aggression we've seen by another dog has been nipped in the bud quickly and the people who go here are generally friendly. It's the only dog park we've been to in the area and based on reviews of some of the others, it will probably be the only one. read more

Great park out in Phoenix. I was out and about on a field trip today and we chose to stop and eat lunch here and give the kids some time to stretch their legs before we went inside the museum near by. It's a very large park with quite a few different playgrounds, tons of picnic tables and even a dog park. It's a great place for a quick breakfast or lunch stop to relax and de stress or while the kids play. There are bathrooms and a swimming pool for summer months as well. Great stop. read more

There's a ton of benches in the center of the front of the park which is nice if you wanna socialize with people. There's also three benches toward the back of the front area that are nice and separated from each other for those like me who would rather not socialize haha and they're all covered in shade because they each have a large tree planted right next to them. Super smart set up, very necessary to have shade in phx. And the dogs have a lot of shady spots to rest if they get overheated. Great park! read more

I was there on a Saturday morning and it looked like there were several dog training classes. It was so cool to see! So many good pups! The park is large with several playgrounds, dog parks for both active and passive dogs, picnic tables, and even a skatepark. Paradise Valley Park is a great place to spend a weekend morning. I recently moved to the area with my dog and figured I'd scope this park out based on the reviews. It's a huge park! My dog is working on his socialization skills so we go for a walk around the large grassy area to help calm him down before we go into the large dog park area. We've been twice now in the evening and everyone's dogs have been really chill about him being a little bit out of touch with social cues. The people have all been very understanding too when I say we're working on socialization. I am that dog owner that manages my dog the entire time we're in the park because I want him to have positive experiences and learn that corrections from other dogs doesn't mean it's time to throw down so I stay on top of him the whole time we're there preventing anything from escalating beyond some grumbling at each other. He's getting better with every trip and we're figuring out the best times to go with the dogs that can help him learn and not get into fights. This is probably the only park we'll go to because of the good dogs, good owners, and large amounts of green space in and out if the dog park area. read more

This park is my favorite. Clean, No creepy looking people, No homeless laying around here, mostly family's and pet owners. It also has a skate park, baseball field, dog park, and public pool. read more

This park has been around for a long time. I remember when the city ended to the north of this park. The golf course was desert and we used to play over there during family picnics. The park is well maintained and clean. It has lots two play grounds, relatively clean bathrooms, ball fields, big shade trees, plenty of open space, and a skate park. It also has a public swimming pool. We signed our toddler up for swim lessons (2 weeks for $15). The lessons are taught by certified lifeguards but not actual swim teachers. One two week session we had a great instructor that sang songs, was organized, and made it a lot of fun for the children, as well as the parents. The second two week session was completely the opposite. The instructor barely taught the class. She just moved around the pool and barely interacted with her students. They need consistency in the way their lessons are taught. I realize they are not actual teachers, but it wouldn't take much effort to get everyone on the same page. read more

We stopped here to have lunch with about 150 fourth graders headed to MIM. It's an okay park but nothing special. A lot of open space and plenty of tables. Although many weren't clean. There's a nice sized dog park that had quite a few patrons. The bathrooms are a problem, however. Not clean and no doors on the stalls, which makes me wonder what kind of activity had been going on here that they felt the need to remove the doors. read more

This is a big, spacious grassy park with SHADE TREES!!!!! I noticed three picnic tables and barbecue grills before my attention span snapped my focus in another direction (which I cannot now remember. I'm sure it must have been fascinating). The trash barrel and recycling bin I used around noon today had recently been emptied -- thank you, park staff! I couldn't figure out where the restrooms were, so please rely on other Yelpers for that information. I think the playground equipment looked nice, and there's plenty of parking. read more

This is a great place that I found for my children to play at. Open area and very clean.

Dog park area is nice and big but sadly in just the 45 minutes my dog and I were there we witnessed a pretty intense dog fight and a dog went after my dog. The first fight happened as soon as we walked in when the person behind me brought her dog into the play area. As soon as her dog entered it started attacking this Australian Shepherd and the owner of the Australian Shepherd was basically slammed into the ground and it took multiple people to get the aggressive dog off of the Australian Shepherd since it was latched onto the Aussies neck and then the owner of the aggressive dog didn't even leave after the two dogs were separated. Obviously a verbal altercation broke out between the owners of both dogs. I still wanted to give the park the benefit of the doubt so my dog Daisy and I started to walk around. Majority of the dogs were either playing in pairs or groups and then other dogs were content just hanging out which is what my dog likes to do. A gentleman with what seemed to be some type of golden retriever mix came in and his dog was obsessed with sniffing my dogs butt. There's no issues in dogs smelling each other but this dog would not leave her alone and did not understand how to properly greet a dog. My dog is very well socialized so she gave the correct cues like sitting down to avoid more butt sniffing and turning her head away to avoid the dog. Dog didn't get the hint and the owner wasn't doing anything to call his dog away. Finally my dog gave the other dog a normal warning growl and his dog instead of backing off (again going back to dog behavior) started attacking my dog. My dog doesn't fight back so I grabbed his dog by the harness while my dog ran off. I had to keep holding his dog back because the owner was acting like it was no big deal meanwhile his dog is still trying to get out from my grip and was staring my dog down. Maybe it's because I work at a dog daycare and know more than the average person about dog behavior and social cues but it was disappointing to see dogs who shouldn't be around other dogs in the park. So who knows maybe it was just a fluke that there were two aggressive dogs in one day but next time I go I'll try the passive area for my dog. read more

Very good dog park, but some fairly aggressive dogs the few times I've gone. I usually go to Cave Creek Dog Park, but came here when it was closed for a few weeks. Great trees, well maintained grass, and a doggy drinking fountain. There's a little covered area with benches too. Separate big/small dog enclosures. read more
