The flower beds are overgrown with weeds, from the sidewalk, the pool looked to be a questionable color, the room was dirty, trash under beds, broken tile in the restroom, non-working toilet, lamps broken, carpets stained, exposed wires hanging from a/c and then the pool....green, the outside furniture in disarray and the whirlpool, boarded up. I asked the manager upon check in if the pool was up and running, as my little girl was looking forward to swimming, she told me yes. I went back down and let them know the toilet was not working, I was informed there were no other rooms and no maintenance person in site. Save yourself the trouble and book elsewhere!!

This hotel reeks of MOLD! The smell of mold is overwhelming as soon as you walk in the door and the hotel is filthy. I believe housekeeping only changes bedding and bathroom towels. My room had to be changed out 3 times. The first one was because there was a hole in the tub and the tub would not stop running (it was already running when I check in and would not turn off). Each of the rooms I had were molded in the bathroom and the AC unit, fixtures were rusted and there was trash still in the rooms. I would have left the hotel if there was another Hampton with the next 35 miles.

The decor was not as outdated as it could be and you can see where they have touched things up over the years. It is a massive facility with other things to do besides gamble. The place smelled of smoke as I would expect from any casino/hotel. The Top Golf Suite cafe took an hour and a half to bring food and it made everyone in there mad as h*ll. Nobody understood how you couldn't be prepared for an influx of people due to a conference. The burger I ordered from there was ok but the fries were overcooked. Paragon disabled the hdmi capabilities of the tvs so don't bring your PlayStation or Xbox thinking you'll play any of that here. They don't have a do not disturb sign for your door. The water pressure on the shower may be the worst in the United States of America. The light above the toilet area inside the bathroom was supremely dim. Flashlight needed My room had a sour smell mixed with housekeeping cleaner that kind of settled down after I ran the AC through my room. Stains were everywhere on my carpet and sofa chair. For the second day of my stay the water coming out of all of my faucets were BROWN (pictured). I notified the front desk and they recommended to just run the water for a while...I started running water at 4:45 pm and it is still brown at 10:21 PM. My coworkers also had brown water issues. The bed was very comfortable though. The towels in the room were clean and the surfaces that really mattered like the bed and countertops were clean. Paragons ability to host a conference is not in question because the infrastructure is there to do it and the service was polite. The food served at the conference was good overall. The movie theater was clean and a great experience. I would've tried the spa but it was closed. Numerous certain areas of the hotel just had a snapshot of an absolutely putrid odor. Every time I walked past a certain smell I just got mad as h*ll lol. If your love is not totally with gambling and getting drunk like never before...I would just stay at the Hampton across the street and then visit Paragon for certain activities. If you really need to gamble, come to any of the hotels in Shreveport/Bossier....may be a fraction of the size of the Paragon but I can almost guarantee you'll be happier and cleaner. This is my first away from home stay since Covid, and I was very comfortable and at ease! Lynn, the front desk concierge, could NOT have been more kind & helpful! Toilet was only standard height, not the comfort height which more people can use; was told the hotel does not have any comfort-height toilets. Both Room & Bathroom: Bring your own lamp or lighted makeup mirror for enough light to apply makeup. I tried two different types of hand lights that did not help. Unclear services of what service is offered when for making bed, getting clean towels & coffee bar. Breakfast: Cook Paul was very conscientious, constantly busy refilling the foods & drinks & cleaning. On the day this hotel offered bacon, he produced the BEST VERY CRISP BACON ever! Fridge &/or Freezer: It froze items needing only refrigeration. Unclear if it was a fridge or freezer or both. So when bringing your own fruit, be aware it may freeze when put in this "fridge &/or freezer." During the most recent visit, there were baseball tournaments going on so many of those people had booked the hotel up. We stayed Saturday to Sunday from July 5th through July 6th. That was a stay for about 143 and some change. We also asked about early check in and that was honored for 25 bucks. Easy to call or use the chat within the app. They charged it all to the card on file. Ms. Jennifer at the front desk whom we love is very personable and attentive. She is very helpful and kind. We treated her to some yummy coffee from Tamp & Grind on Sunday morning since she'd never been! Thank you for all of your help and for having a warm spirit. Shoutout to her again because she updated us to a suite! Rooms are nice and overall clean. The one thing that Fairfield doesn't have is a safe. Thought that was strange because this is the second hotel recently with no safe. Unless I overlooked it, I didn't see it. Other staff is nice as well. We have been at this point, June 2026, about five times. Every time we go the food and service is 10/10. We always start with the Baguette, Bisque and Sensation Salad. If I had to choose one dish to order it would be the Bisque. I could make a meal out of it with the Baguette. It is one of the 10 best bites of food I have ever had. It's the best thing on the menu in my opinion and luckily it's a main stay. As far main dishes go we have had varieties of their steak, pane'd veal, pork chop, pasta and fish. All were amazing. When it comes to desserts we typically get the flourless Chocolate Torte (when available) and the cheesecake.
