He didn't expect it to come on a bed of penne, while the portion was generous he was avoiding pasta. None of the desserts sounded appealing enough to try. As for drinks, my smoky old-fashioned was so overwhelmingly smoky that I had a lingering campfire aftertaste in my mouth longer than I would have liked. Overall, if you're looking for a quiet spot with live music, it's not a bad choice. But the food and drinks were inconsistent, and I wouldn't rush back.

This review deserves no stars at all. Me & my friend had the most disgusting experience ever. We waited over an hour for food. We sat outside and it wasn't busy when we originally got there. So we thought things should go smooth. We were the only black people there and people who came after us got there food before us. We ordered a salad and hamburger? Yet everyone by us got their food-- ham burgers and salads. The same things we ordered but no one ever came to bring our food. Our waiter came to us twice the whole night. Everyone was walking pass us like we didn't exist at all and servicing other tables around us including our waiter. I finally had enough and asked for the manager. Spoke to some guy and told him we do not want the food anymore. This is unacceptable! He tries to apologize and say we're sorry and your food is coming??? Where was the food an hour ago?? No one cared an hour ago but now when I speak up it's we will have your food? And then had the nerve to charge us for drinks & appetizers? What kind of establishment does that? A random couple comes to us and say you guys are the only ones with no food why is that? Because I guess the 2 black people here weren't important as the other customers. This couple was actually nice and advocated for us and demanded we speak to a manager & not pay for anything. Because if it was them they wouldn't have paid for anything at all. I've never in my life have experienced this kind of treatment at a restaurant. Everyone was being serviced and catered to but we was the only ones not being helped? Yeah okay... I don't think they care to service people of color. It's actually sad.. this is simply why I do not go to local restaurants. I would of never got treated like that at an upscale restaurant... Mastros, STK steakhouse etc. would never! The treatment was obvious and they clearly didn't care until we spoke up. Never again! And the food wasn't even hot when they decided to give it to us for free lmao. We opened it in the car and the food wasn't even hot??? So where was the food?? My salad was filled with soggy lettuces! Went here on a Saturday night and it was pretty busy. Was greeted and sat immediately - so glad it wasn't long considering it was just my girlfriend and I. I got the BBQ oink & moo - succulent and juicy - while my girlfriend got the fish tacos - 'out of this world' according to her. For drinks I had the port brewing wipeout ipa and she had the watermelon mojito - which was surprisingly very refreshing (I'm not a mojito kind of guy). Our server - I apologize I forgot her name - was absolutely fantastic and funny. The only thing that did not go so well with me was the 'manager'. Well, she introduced herself as the manager and we both saw her floating around talking to tables. When she came around she asked how everything was which we responded that everything was great. What got me a little uneasy was that she talked about us telling her about "any bumps we may have on the road" and to "report to her" if anything was wrong. Don't get me wrong, it's great if a manager touches base with their tables, but not make it sound as if we were being served by military staff. Also, not a professional look for a manager if you're wearing checkered pants, a white shirt most people can see through, and what really got me was the chuck taylors. I'm sorry, if you're a manager, dress like a manager would. Other than that, we both had dessert. I had the chocolate mousse and my girlfriend had the peanut butter brownie. Hint to everyone: the dessert is too good to share, get your own! I promise you wont regret it. With that, I ended with a Not Your Father's Root Beer (on tap!!) and she had a chocolate manhattan. Sounds like a lot of sugar but we both love our sweets. Overall, I give this place a 4/5. Really great place if you want great food, great beer, great dessert, and fantastic service. I would push to 5 stars but that manager just seemed pushy to me. Also! Great thing I learned is that the small room up front can hold up to 30 people which sounds fantastic for events! 5 stars for the food, 1 star for service and one big mess up. We came in for the brunch. My 2 daughters and I decided to do the buffet and everything was fantastic. Our server was eh, she seemed more interested in talking to her friend than taking away the extra plates that piled up in a corner of the table. Also, we paid for unlimited bloody marys and mimosas and each time we reordered we had to ask where it was. The buffet had every breakfast food you would ever want - and if you didnt want that, there were more filling items. A la carte was also available. We noticed that the staff was taking down everything and we were very upset that our server did not let us know they were doing so. Also noticed that our server was off again to the side talking to her friend than helping out the rest of the staff - which is very rude. One big thing is that my daughter is very allergic to peanuts. Our server failed to mention to us what dessers contained peanut in them. My daughter had one of the mousse cups, we were unsure of what flavor is what, she decided to pick one out of all of them. She had one bite, realized it was peanut butter mousse and pushed it aside. We tried flagging down our waitress but she was nowhere to be found. I kept an eye on my daughter and she seemed to be fine. Finally our waitress came back and we requested for the check, paid, and left. Later on, my daughter became violently ill. I knew it was due to the peanut butter mousse. If I tell you someone has an allergy always keep it in mind and let them know what items in your brunch or menu contains peanuts! Thank god my daughter recovered after half an hour. Would I be back? Maybe. After this experience it would make me wonder if every server doesnt care about allergies. Hopefully they train that server better. read more

Food was once excellent.. for me, it's now about the worst value for your dollar in town. I don't know if its new ownership or what, but the place just doesn't run the way it used to. The food is drastically overpriced and confused as far as concept. From what I can tell, they still offer happy hour sometimes, but the deals are about as bad as I've seen and the menu is unintelligible. After trying 4 of their new apps, I won't be experimenting with them again. My wife and kids were here with me this week and I came with a co-worker a few weeks ago for a few beers. Had drastically different experiences. My wife's appetizer came out before mine by 15 minutes! Then, when our entrees were ready (after 50 minutes-- never seen a more bizarre and disorganized system for delivering food) we only got 3 out of 4 meals! It was a beyond terrible experience. With my buddy, I had a few great beers and the bartender was super knowledgable about beer and hysterical. One of the only bright spots. Look for the tall guy with a beard. It's still a great place to watch a game and has the best craft brews around, but now it feels more like an Applebees or Chilis now with mostly young kids who don't know anything about what their serving. Disappointing that the place has lost most of its identity, but its still one of the better places around to get a good beer. read more

As my girlfriend and I arrived we were given the option of indoor or outdoor seating. We chose outdoor, but quickly realized that the space was an issue, we were seated directly next to another family even though there were plenty of other tables available, it felt like we were participating in their dinner with them. The menu had some nice sounding food, I went for the prime rib and I will say for a $43 meal it felt more like a stouffers tv dinner. It comes out on a cutting board style tray. The veggies tasted frozen and the Rosemary Au jus felt like it coated the back of your throat with additional fat, the meal desperately needs the horseradish sauce as it's saving grace to have a break from all the oil and fat and it was just ok. My girlfriend got fish tacos fried, it came with rice and beans, the fish tacos were fine but the rice was undercooked and felt like biting into plastic. If you are looking for a fine dining experience this isn't the place, but the bar food looks a lot more appealing, maybe I should have gone with the wings or a burger. Two weeks ago we had hosted a Bridal shower for my daughter on the outside patio. I would like to give a huge thanks to the managers Edward, Mike and Ernie for providing the most memorable experience for my daughter and guests! Management and staff provided the most amazing service and etiquette through this difficult time. We had a group of 20-25 in a their private party room and patio. Through this tough time, all staff and guests took amazing safety measures to ensure that our group and all others were safe at all times! The party packages provided an amazing experience for us all. Their broad range of draft beers and homemade cocktails seemed like something from a story book. This place is awesome! One of my friends goes to trivia here regularly and said it was a lot of fun so I tagged along this week. The trivia itself is a little slow moving, but it's only because the place is literally stuffed with people. I was a little concerned when I saw that there was only one bartender, but he was unbelievable. He appeared to be making drinks for the whole restaurant while thoroughly engaging pretty much every guest at the bar. He asked us what kind of flavors we liked and selected a perfect beer for each person. We had all eaten dinner already, but the bartender said he loves the food and highly recommended that we stop back soon because there is a new menu coming out and he made a few of the dishes sound mouth-watering. Had my son and future daughter-in-law's wedding shower on Sat. March 23, 2019. Michelle S. and Lisa were a delight to work with even though we changed our minds once or twice on how we wanted tables arranged and decorations placed. These gals went out of their way to make the day special for us. Food and beverage service was superb as well. The food was tasty and well prepared. Drink prices seemed a little steep to me, but I'm from the South where things are different cheaper. I think everything is high priced in New Jersey. Chicken, coated in Cap'n crunch cereal. As weird as it sounds, I loved it, and I'm not the only one. It was one of their most popular appetizers, if not the most popular. The main course, the short rib tacos were fantastic. The short rib was literally melt in your mouth tender. It also came with a pink sauce, that was both savory and tangy at the same time. It had a little bit of a kick to it. I may be wrong, but to me, it tasted like there was a little bit of horseradish in it. For the quality of the food, the price was reasonable. When they replaced it with the right pizza, it came out cold and undercooked. My boyfriend has tried many dishes on the menu, none of which he liked. The pretzel burger has always been the one thing we could never go wrong with. I would only get that everytime I've been in the last year. Today, my pretzel burger was undercooked and they switched to Kraft Squares (or something similar) for the cheese. It was gross. The only time we have good service is when this one small older woman is our server, unfortunately don't know her name. Everyone else who works there is usually apathetic and inattentive.

For dinners, we had the Abigail's chicken (which I don't know what kind of sauce they put all over it, but it was horrendous), the braised short ribs (there was only one whole rib with the casing still on it and had nothing but fat and grizzle), the stuffed flounder (was too extremely thin slices of flounder stuffed with what was supposed to be crab meat stuffing, but they might as well just call it stuffing because there was no crab or even crab taste), we also ordered a fourth dinner, which I cannot remember what it was, but it was again extremely disappointing. We definitely will not order from here again, whether it be going and eating in or doing takeout.
