From the moment they became involved, they were ten steps ahead. Communication was clear, consistent and proactive. I was kept informed about what they were finding, what needed to happen next, and why. My questions were answered even before asking them. There were no excuses, no unnecessary delays, and no leaving me wondering what was happening with my own home! This is how restoration should be done. Trevor, in particular, has been phenomenal. He's an absolute wealth of information but just as importantly, he brings tremendous integrity, professionalism and humanity to his work. Dealing with significant water intrusion in your home is incredibly stressful, and having someone who is knowledgeable, responsive, straightforward and genuinely kind makes an enormous difference. Trevor made a very difficult situation so much easier to navigate. What also impressed me was the measured approach Exact Restoration took. They weren't looking to make the situation bigger and more expensive than it needed to be. They assessed what was actually necessary, explained their reasoning, and moved the work forward efficiently and professionally. After what I had experienced previously, that level of integrity meant everything to me. The difference between the two experiences could not have been more dramatic. What had previously become prolonged and unnecessarily complicated finally started moving once Exact Restoration stepped in. I went from constantly having to chase answers to working with a team that was already thinking several steps ahead. Their professionalism, communication, responsiveness and integrity have far exceeded my expectations. They made sense but I thought the pricing was way more than I would expect. I then called EZ Flow Plumbing who originally installed the water heaters for comparison. They needed to come out before quoting but there was no charge. Spencer came out and looked over the equipment and agreed with the suggestions but the cost was $1000 less. He would be able to return the next day, Saturday, to do the work at no additional weekend charge. I got discounts because I was a senior citizen and for the multiple items I needed. He showed up right about the time he had estimated the day before and got right to work. He was able to get everything done without completely shutting off our water. Spencer has a great personality, was efficient and the work looked great. Now I remember why I used them initially to install the water heaters.

If you know of others that are great I'd like to know them. My bathroom needed a rebuild and they contracted the work to their own sister company, owned by the same owner. Turns out that sister company barely runs and they didn't have a real crew when they took my job. They sent 2 barely adult kids to rebuild my sub floor. One kid cut up all the flooring wood with curving edges in several small pieces so it would fit in his car to get it to me. I came home to find a jigsaw puzzle of a sub floor that bounced and sunk when I walked on it. When I complained they sent out someone else who was excellently skilled but expressed a lot of negativity about all the other workers and about the job and ended up having too much back pain to finish. No one showed up while i missed client appointments and lost money waiting for workers who were schedule. Finally they sent out 2 more guys who said they felt thrown into the middle of a job (as they were) that they didn't quite understand. I had to ask them to redo several things that looked awful (and Rob the plumber expressed to me his disappointment at their work even after that). The two guys admitted they'd never worked on a mobile home bathroom before. After 3 months with no bathroom and WEEKS when no work was being done, the bill for part of it was double what was quoted by the plumber. Katie, who handles the logistics, insisted this was their discounted rate and has stuck to it. So I am stuck with a high bill for a nightmare where only Rob the plumber was competent. Be sure you get all quotes in writing and maybe have them contract with someone else to do any rebuilding for you. Their plumber Rob will work his butt off for you and do a damn good job though.

He removed the heater and returned it to Home Depot since it was still under warranty, was back within an hour with a new heater and completed the installation promptly. The technician, Gannon, was great. He handled the warranty exchange, did a top-notch installation (even corrected a gas line run that was not up to current code), left the work site perfectly clean, and the final bill was exactly the estimate.
