Requested a fireplace service as our fireplace in the family room wouldn't go on. They charged me $751.41 to diagnose the problem (and clean the fireplace) and then wanted an additional $3,000 to fix the valve! We called a different company and they fixed that fireplace, AND ANOTHER ONE OUTSIDE, for $350 total. More than 10x less and their reviews on Yelp are all awesome. read more

Professional and competent. Not cheap, but you are paying for their competence. There is a trip fee, which is waived if you have the work done that they recommend. In our case, we had to get a new water heater. They scheduled us quickly, communicated well, and appeared to do the job right. I would advise you to look elsewhere when looking for a trustworthy company. This company seems shady and fraudulent. Called a week ago, asking if they did fireplace repairs. Guy on the phone with the thick accent told me that, yes, they do, and they can come in two days. I fully set up the appointment, made an account, and told him what needed to be fixed. He explained everything and even quoted me. He said they would be out and that I would get a call 30 minutes prior to the arrival, and gave me a time range, 2-5pm. The day the technician was supposed to come out, we waited and waited until it was finally 5:30pm. We never got a call so we decided to call the company. The same man with the accent answered the phone. He was super confused when I asked about the status of the technician. He said, word for word, "I don't recall ever talking to you, you don't have an appointment. I have no record of your call or your account. We would have called if we were going to come". He blamed it on a "technical issue with their server" and claimed they had a power outage. He claimed it had never happened before. He didn't apologize, but instead blamed the power outage and acted like I didn't even call even though I am very certain it was the same guy. He offered to reschedule, but this is obviously a terrible company that doesn't take responsibility for their actions. We wasted our whole day waiting and then had to delay our repair to find another company. I would not trust this business. They are rude and incompetent. read more

Now did a lot of work for me and did it well. A new water heater was needed as well as a gas repipe for the whole house. Took three days at the cost of several thousand dollars a day, parts and labor. Whilst installing the new line to the furnace they they twisted the pipe coming out of the heater which turned the igniter out of position. I called our usual HVAC people who discovered the problem to the tune of $196. Three communications with Now Plumbing and no reimbursement, or even acknowledgment. read more

We had Now Plumbing come out to replace the shut off valves for our washing machine. Even though they did a good job of installing the new valves, we thought that the price that they charged ($1,445) was way out of line. They knew after the job was completed that we were not happy with the price that they were charging us. When we asked for a breakdown of the parts and labor, they said that they couldn't provide that, for which we though that was a bunch of bull. I regret that I didn't call other plumbers to get estimates for this job. The service man arrived around 3:30 PM and completed the work in less than one hour. He was congenial, professional, and did a great job. We were very satisfied with the result and were especially pleased the job was done on the same day we called. They were Covid-19 Ready when walking into my house which was Great. Fantastic service. I called end of March to schedule an appointment to have my Gas grill hooked up to my gas line at home. They schedule my appointment for 4/7. I get a call 30min before my 4 hour window is up and am told due to the Covid-19 they are only unable to come out to my home. Given I received a call an hour prior to the second call letting me know they would call me when they are 20 min away. 3 1/2 hours later of waiting....terrible customer service. I have used Now Plumbing on two occasions. Each time I was impressed by the professionalism of the plumber as well as the technical know-how he had to describe the problem and present me with the options to fix the problem. Most importantly to me, as I imagine most consumers, was an explanation of how the problem could be corrected at a variety of price points. Since I intend to be in my home for a few years I went with the more expensive fix, better quality and less worry of a repeat problem. Had I been planning to move within a year, my choice would have been different. The plumber was knowledgeable and made some suggestions about the health of my Hot Water Heater which turned out to be true since the second visit, two months later, was to fix the leak and lack of hot water. All of the work was done in a very clean manner, always aware that they were guests in someone's house and did not want to make a un-needed mess. I have recommended Now to a few neighbors who have been equally satisfied. I wanted a water filter system plumbed into my already present copper loop. Two smooth guys showed up and said they would give me a great deal. Over $700! Ended up going with a local licensed plumber who did the job for $310. In addition, these guys told me it took up to eight hours for the cement on PVC connection to harden. Not true. I had a hot water heater changed out, including replacing old cPVC with copper and replacing the expansion tank. Joe & Trevor were AWESOME!!! This was not a straightforward job and they did an incredible job of troubleshooting and getting the job done. I will definitely use this company again for plumbing needs. Though not the cheapest company, you get what you pay for and I think this job would have been a disaster if I had went with less experienced plumbers (the other plumbers we had out for an estimate were afraid to touch the cPVC, Joe instilled confidence & did know exactly what to do!!) I employed Now Plumbing to replace a Water Heater that was under warranty. There bid was high, but acceptable. There workmanship and cleanliness was good. My issue is that I was given a bid, and there were several additions that should be looked at, but were not priced out explicitly. I should have forced a firm bid. I did not, and the bill came in $400 more than I expected with the addition of a ball valve replacement. Have talked with office manager and was told it is an expensive business and getting worse. Had major damage from a water leak, a friend recommended we call Now Plumbing and we are glad we took the advice. Starting with Greg, whom we first spoke with on the phone to Joey and Jay who preformed the work. Fast service, knowledgeable (completely explained the problem and the solution), polite, timely and very clean. They clean as the go and do a total clean up at completion of job. I found myself suddenly backed into a corner with what I thought was a minor repair with a no longer useful irrigation pipe that needed to be capped. Well...like all things, we all prefer to see the minor when in most cases it becomes a little more complicated than what we picture in our minds. Having said that, after calling Now Plumbing, the technician, Avery explained my options. It was soon clear after his arrival things were going to cost me more than I ever expected to have things fixed right. And after a thorough explanation, which made a whole lot of sense to both of us, we rationally agreed to do the "professional" fix necessary. We were thrilled with the service we received in an emergency flood situation due to a ruptured toilet supply line. Greg skillfully responded to the emergency by phone which enabled us to quickly locate and turn off water to the house. Juan arrived shortly thereafter, identified the source of the problem, and spent time educating us and replacing the valves and supply lines on our other toilets to prevent this from occurring again. I had a plumbing nightmare!!!!! I live in a house that was built in the 50's. I called Now Plumbing thinking my bathtub and kitchen sinks were clogged. I was half right. Chris came and snaked my kitchen sink and replaced the shoddy pipe work done and my kitchen sinks were fixed. Yippeeee, I said. Chris goes to the bathroom and not only was it clogged, but I had a serious leak under my floor. Arrrrgggghhhh.....Long story short, Chris had to bring in Richie to help break up my floor and replace my pipes. Chris was professional and patient from day one.
