Ariel took the time to speak with me on two separate occasions and never made me feel rushed or dismissed. He patiently answered my questions and helped me understand my options. As a small landlord dealing with a stressful tenant/squatter issue, I appreciated that Ariel genuinely understood the challenges I was facing. He provided practical guidance and gave me confidence moving forward. I would definitely recommend Mirage Law Office to other landlords who need knowledgeable and responsive legal support.

I worked with Ariel and his associates to remove a deadbeat tenant from a rental property. At the…read moretime, I'd already had a bad experience with a different firm that cost me both money and time so when I looked the second time I called several firms, got estimates, worked to understand their timelines, etc. When I spoke with Ariel, I was impressed with his knowledge of the process and timelines but what really made me decide to go with him was the passion and conviction with which he spoke about making sure that my tenant would pay, literally and figuratively. I had a strong case and he seemed to hear and respond to my deep feeling of injustice and the need to right a wrong. He convinced me that he would stay on top of everything and ensure that my delinquent tenant would. To go into all the details would make this review incredibly long but the short version is once I paid the retainer and was secured as a client, I barely heard from him. I mostly dealt with the assistant/paralegals who seemed to be doing most of the work, including responding to my emails which Ariel routinely ignored. I never met Ariel and when we finally went in front of a judge, he sent a colleague in his place (which he never mentioned was happening even the day before). Regardless of the facts of my case, I was convinced by Ariel's proxy attorney, to settle rather than go to court. Because both the courts and sheriff's department are backed up, I was told that going to court could push my tenant moving out for another six months. This possibility felt like an actual nightmare to me so, even though I didn't want to, I settled. No one mentioned to me ahead of time how backed up the court system was or gave me any information about what to expect going into court. In hindsight, I wish I'd had more time to decide and a more thoughtful discussion with my attorney. I don't feel satisfied with the decision I was pressed to make with very little time or information. I've followed up with other questions since my judgement and, a week later, still haven't heard back from Ariel. After spending several thousand dollars, I received a judgment that I'm not especially satisfied with. If I had it to do over again, I personally would've gone with another firm. They were efficient and if you're just looking for an attorney to serve the unlawful detainer, they handled that piece fine but the communication left much to be desired and my the actual court day was a big letdown for me.

As tenants in the OC, we were faced with what we classified as a behemoth of multiple landlords and…read moreproperty managers through the decade-long residency in our unit. We faced almost all the negative experiences you could go through when being a tenant, from negligence in the upkeep and care of our unit to damages to property owned by us to hostility, ignorance, arrogance, retaliation from the landlords, and much more. We constantly fought battles with our landlords and never reached an equal or fair resolution. We thought it would be impossible to seek justice for all the suffering and nonsense we went through. Post-pandemic, we faced more significant issues with our landlord and were pushed to seek outside counsel at that point. I spent weeks contacting landlord-related attorneys, but most attorneys in the OC were not a fit for our situation and weren't confident in representing us in our case. From the first call with Kaivan, I sensed that he was someone aggressive enough and sure enough to win our case. I just had trust. We spent over two years with Kaivan on our case, from start to end. The attorney-client relationship was positive because we trusted his words and advice from every stage of the litigation process. We worked well with one another, including his associate attorneys, in gathering all the information and evidence he needed to form and process our case. Kaivan and his team were patient and understanding; we felt comfortable enough to explain the circumstances related to our case. We had been living in our residence for so long that there was so much correspondence, photos, etc, much of which we forgot! The fact that Kaivan and his team could piece together our case and get justice was impressive in and of itself! Ultimately, Kaivan blew our expectations. I knew we would win our case once we hired him, but I did not anticipate such a positive outcome. Kaivan is talented in his real estate law expertise and principles, tactics, and communication skills as part of his trade. Not every lawyer has those skills; it's not as common as you think it should be. As a person, we believe Kaivan has good ethics and does his best to keep his word. That is why we worked well with Kaivan, and I am sure other potential clients seeking justice from their landlords will also. I recommend that you take the time to gather all evidence and information and call Kaivan to explain your possible case.
