I like Paramount! Paramount was founded in 1912, meaning it's been in exitance for 114 years! So many of my favorite films were Paramount Studios films! Paramount films I love: Love Story (Ryan O'Neal and Alli MacGraw); Bad News Bears (the one with another O'Neal, Tatum O'Neal); Grease (I fell in love with John Travolta!); Footloose; Titanic (such a great film!); all the Indiana Jones movies (what's not to love about Harrison Ford?!?!); Ghost (Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze); Forrest Gump and I'm sure I have overlooked some! I grew up loving The Lucy Show and it was filmed in 1968 on Stage 21 of Paramount Studios in Hollywood! Thanks Paramount! I am glad you're around and providing such quality entertainment! read more

Paramount Pictures has been around forever, and you can really feel that classic Hollywood legacy in the types of movies and shows they put out. They're big on storytelling that feels familiar but still entertaining.....lots of action, drama, comedy, and family friendly content. I always associate Paramount with blockbuster type films, strong franchises, and movies you can just sit back and watch without overthinking too much. As far as streaming goes, Paramount+ has a solid mix. I like that it blends older classics with newer originals and popular TV shows. There's a lot of nostalgia there, especially with older series and movies you may have grown up watching, plus newer content that keeps it current. It's not overloaded or confusing to navigate, which I appreciate, and it feels more curated than overwhelming. Overall, Paramount feels dependable. It may not always be edgy or experimental, but when I choose something from Paramount, I know what I'm getting quality production, recognizable titles, and entertainment that's easy to enjoy. It's one of those studios that's just been part of pop culture for so long that it still feels relevant today. read more

A real working lot where they shoot t.v., movies, and commercials. Easy location to get to and there's lots of open parking spots. Security checkpoints and you're in. Fun to see all the lots. Such a massive place. You feel like you are in a movie. That's what Los Angeles is all about! read more

This is an annual event highlighting minority and native American owned businesses. Every entrepreneur I encountered was so excited to be there and share their gifts/talents with the world. Paramount+ is the definition of a scam wrapped in a subscription. Customers are drowned in never-ending ads like we're watching basic cable--except worse, because I actually paid for the privilege. Every show feels like an ambush: pause for ads, restart, pause again. It's a nonstop ASSAULT on the viewer's patience. The fact that Paramount+ thinks this is acceptable is INSULTING. You can't claim to be a premium service while shoving commercials down customers' throats at every possible moment. It's greedy, lazy, and disrespectful. If you're wondering whether to sign up, DON'T. Save your sanity and your wallet--there are plenty of streaming services that don't treat their users like cash cows. I had work here for several years for a few shows/movies as background, specialty talent, stand-in. This time around I was part of production, so I got the pleasure to work a different aspect of it. Not that I would be dislike the studio as it had so much history in making movies, but it was my first time here, I can see right now they're doing a few shows as it is home of Rookie Feds, Rookie, iCarly, Dr Phil, etc Things I hate to point out was the lack of communication between departments and employees, I wasn't the only one that got lost here as they also book my car for the day, but security at the gate could not decide where to send me, luckily I was always early on set so I could manage some time to navigate stuffs around. On the other hand, I felt bad for the non union people who got mistreated today at lunch, normally they would have catering separately from crafty, but they decided to have crafty to serve us breakfast then told us that the lunch were complimentary for everyone who came after crews, meaning it's a walk away lunch which they try to get away without looking at the contract, I am lucky that I am SAG AFTRA but still have to wait on first unit because I understand how things work and the reason why I joined the union so that they don't treat you like you owe them your life, especially the rude people from crafty who would tell you they might run out of food after crew, I am surprised that for today shoot, so many non union people even though it was a small call and the production knew so that no one would call and report to SAG, as long as everyone being courteous to the people who came after then should there be enough food for all? Well at least make sure there's enough food because they paid you to do your job. read more

Paramount Studios is one of my favorite television and film studios located in the heart of Los Angeles, at Gower and Melrose Ave. When I think of Paramount Studios, two things come to mind - Eddie Murphy's hit movie 48 Hours and the hit tv show Happy Days... classic Paramount Productions. I spent about five years here working on Sabrina the Teenage Witch and the Buffy the Vampire Slayer spin off Angel, among other shows. All great memories. Paramount Studio is one of the major studios in Hollywood. They are member of the top five studios such as Universal, Columbia , Walt Disney, and Warner Brother that still exist today. They produce some the best motion pictures and beloved television shows. I was really excited to visit this studio First of all, I want to shout out to Jack J, who invited me to his place of employment. I got to preview the screening of Bumblebee at "The Sherry Lansing Theater". It was a great movie. I hope you guys all go watch it. I also had the opportunity to walk the studio. Jack arranged it so my check in was super easy. I also got to park in the lot for free. This studio was spotlessly clean and the decorations for the holiday were amazing and inviting. Staff were professional and I had a great time. I hope to come back again to get their studio tour Paramount Pictures Tour $58/per person. It is a 2 hour tour Paramount Pictures VIP Tour $178/per person. It is a 4.5 hour tour with gourmet lunch, free parking, personalized souvenir photo The only reason I didn't give this place a 5 star because I did not see any stars on the lot. My beloved television shows are film here such as Hawaii Five O, This Is Us and NCIS. I am glad I got to experience this place and hope to return another time for another screening. Thanks Jack. I was at Paramount Studios as an extra and it was SO Much fun. We even got really good food and I absolutely loved my hair. The movie will be coming out in 2023. I can't wait until everyone that I know sees my face on the Big Screen because it has always been my dream! I also know being an extra won't bring me fame but it's a step towards where I want to be and just the experience, connecting with other actors, being on an actual studio set and seeing directors and producers doing what they do best really helped me to feel even more certain that this is the route was the place i wanted and needed to go. This was Magical right here and I am commemorating this special moment in my life where I felt a part of something Real and Big!! Well, it's a Wrap and I know we shot some very special scenes!! REVIEW AS EVENT VENUE I went to a charity event outside on the Paramount Studios lot and it was absolutely delightful. What a beautiful and magical place to have an event. The event was outside and there was parking nearby. There is concrete so you can wear heals. There were a lot of people there but it was roomy and not a bad seat in the house. Sound and lighting worked in the space. There was a separate and spacious room for us to go in to get hor d'oeuvres, have a silent auction, and use the powder room. The location was easy to find in the heart of Hollywood. I would definitely come to another event here. read more

Paramount Studios was the setting for a funny-but great-experience a few years back, possibly 2011-2012. I was hanging out by the commissary (The Dining Room & The Cafe) with some colleagues and I remember it became a lot quieter for some reason. I saw a very well-dressed man in a suit, complete with coordinating handkerchief (something you really don't see too much of out here) slowly pass through with a small entourage. This was my introduction to A.C. Lyles. Productions working within the vicinity literally halted to a stop, as directors and other important crew members came over to introduce themselves and shake hands with this legend. Impressive it was, seeing someone who started as an office boy in the mailroom practically grow up with Paramount itself be so charismatic in his territory, and as he approached us, you could see a sparkle in his eye. Then came the incident that left me speechless: he pinched my cheek. This cracked my colleagues up, since they KNOW I am not a touchy-feely-huggy kind of person by any means. I was so dumbstruck, as I didn't think I had much of a babyface, and this was completely unexpected. He laughed along with them and told me that I ought to have a nice day with cheekbones like mine (??). Since this all came out of nowhere, I managed to utter something among the lines such as,'I, uh will sir, thank you very much." I'm glad he did it. read more

The layout of Paramount is so nice and clean. It's also very classic and significant, so much so that they often film on set for current and older movies/tv shows and you can recognize which parts of the studio instantly. This tour was so much fun! It was about 2.5 hours and mostly on the golf cart, however, they let you go inside different sets to see the behind the scenes. We went inside the Dr. Phil set, the Doctors, and a couple other new shows. The tour guide had a iPad and shows clips of movies that used the sets as you are touring. At the end of the tour you get a chance to go into a costume and set room where you are able to try costumes and take lots of photos. One of the coolest studio tours! Well worth it. read more

Yelp Challenge 2017 (37/100) So I came here a couple times now. For certain special events. This weekend is TASTE LA!! I loved this event. I think tickets to get in are like $130 but I got in for free with family and friends. This event at the paramount studios was pretty cool. It was like a block party but where all movies studios looking like homes and apartments. Pretty much you come and get to taste a plate of every restaurant in Los Angeles promoting there food. Guys!!! Check it out FREE FOOD!!! The cherry on top is also FREE SAMPLE OF WINES AND BEERS AND OH MY GOD!!! Originally hailing from the Mid-West means that I don't condone the flaky behavior which appears to be in the DNA of LA residents. I like to get things done, receive feedback, and seek results: all in a prompt, timely manner. What does this have to do with Paramount? As opposed to some other studio lots, Paramount fits more into the Mid-West mentality. Although a large studio, Paramount doesn't have a large ego. Studio staff (security, PA's, etc) are personable and helpful regardless of your status. Even making sure minor personal needs are met. Granted, they have to take care of Talent but the level of care is extensive. Also unlike some other lots, Paramount is very speedy beginning their shoots immediately at call time. They don't mess around and waste precious dollars. All of this leads to a efficient and pleasant filming experience on a historic lot. The studio buildings are slightly cramped for my taste which always stresses the truck driver out but it isn't as teeny-tiny as local studio Sunset Bronson. Now you may be thinking: "I don't act or work in production so why should I care about Paramount's lot?" Well, I assume you watch TV which means some of the shows you favorite are filmed here. If they took forever to shoot, it might be forever until you catch your next episode. It's a trickle down effect which involves you. Thus, you should thank Paramount. read more

We were participating in the Taste of LA event for 2 of the 3 days they had it. This was an awesome event to go to! There was food and drink everywhere!! How could you not enjoy themselves!!? The event started from 7:30 and ended at 10:30. There was definitely something for everyone. We were on the New York side of the lot there. The only thing was that it was super humid. They do a lot of TV shows here... I came for a taping of Dr. Phil (don't judge... it was a work thing!). If you need to find street parking (and you probably WILL), ignore the physical address of the studio and instead head toward the gate for the show you'll be working on/watching... most likely on Gower street. Start hunting for parking on side streets near the gate, otherwise you'll have a very long walk. Studio security is friendly but for the most part if you're there for a show they won't allow any cell phones or any electronic devices so leave them in the car. The studio spaces I've been in are clean, relatively comfortable and everyone I've encountered has been helpful. They have coffee and snacks available during breaks on some shows, which is a rare thing and very nice. If you make sure to factor in extra time for parking (like a lot of extra time, seriously) this can be a very pleasant place to see the "magic of television" being made. read more

Paramount is my favorite film studio because Star Trek was filmed here. There's a Leonard Nimoy way at stage 23, is that cool or what? You can see the "Hollywood" sign in the background. I was here for Frieze Week in February 2019 and there's other times I'm periodically here for events or work or whatever and the place is so jam packed with history it never ceases to amaze me. It's gorgeous, too. And I love eating in the cafe. The gift shop is great, too. Great place!!! read more

I don't usually do official studio tours but I had passed by Paramount so many times I just decided to go ahead and do it. This is a smaller studio than say Warner Bros but I still think it's worth it to check it out especially if you like older movies. This tour was only the regular 2 hour tour and allows you access to a few of the main sound stages like Dr. Phil, Gracie and Frank? and a Nickelodeon show. There are also many streets of fake buildings of which you can go inside a few to see what they really look like. The tour is half by cart and half by walking so be aware. The tour guide will also show you clips of movies that were filmed on the lot in those particular areas. If you're a fan of Ted Danson or Woody Harrelson there's a funny anecdote and a scene cast in cement near the end of the tour. And like most tours do, it ends through the gift shop and escorted out the front gate. A few things to note: you can park across the street in the A lot. It's $15 so carpooling is a good idea. There are several coffee places around if you get thirsty or are too early like we were. There is also a Coffee Bean inside the studio in the gift shop. A fun tip though, the Hollywood Forever Cemetery where several famous people are buried is directly behind the studio. Might be worth a check out afterward. I'm curious about the VIP tour but alas the price is steep. read more

We had a great time with Miguel, our very cool tour guide. We were treated to the Dr. Phil show studio because most, of not all shows are on holiday break. We also saw a couple of other sets that normally would have been off limits. My wife liked it the most because she was seeing where so many things she has seen took place. Movies and tv. Cool place to visit for a show when in LA. We have sat in the audience for Dr Phil here twice. Historically, many other famous people have graced these doors. There is a parking garage right across the street from the studio that has proven safe when we have been there and reasonably priced. The sidewalks are very narrow here, almost non existent. The street is very busy and in rough shape in spots so I would recommend weating flats at least to walk in. There is a washroom on site, not portapotties, thankfully. No food for sale here but we have been given a small snack and water on a break. Note that that could be 3 hours into the day. Bring snacks in your purse. Eat breakfast if you can before going. Limit water intake but bring a water bottle in case you have a cough attack during filming. Staff have always been so nice. The set is smaller and more intimate than you may think once inside! Biggest tip - bring a warm sweater or jacket in with you as they keep the studio very cold (to keep you alert) Leave cell phones locked in your vehicle or they will check them in and give them back later. Dress nicely and be on TV! read more
