This is one of the best speakeasies out there. I originally came because it was featured in Yellowstone, and the food and drinks did not disappoint. The cocktails were excellent and the food was delicious. I ordered the Pecan Goldie, served in a martini glass--a sweeter take on an Old Fashioned. Next was the Bomb City Cosmo, another refreshing cocktail also served in a martini glass. We ordered appetizers and dinner, and everything was great. The menu comes from Toscana Italian restaurant upstairs, and we enjoyed every dish. For appetizers, we had the spinach artichoke dip and pretzel bites--very creamy, and the pretzel bites were warm and delicious. We also tried two salads: the BLT Wedge Salad and the Shaved Brussels Sprout Parmesan Salad. Both were hearty and very filling. We finished with the chocolate pistachio cake, which was a delightful dessert. Happy Hour: Their website advertises $6 liquor Monday through Friday from 5-7 PM. However, the bartender didn't seem to honor it, saying happy hour is upstairs--though that's not what the website states. He did make it right by charging only for two drinks, which equaled the price of the three drinks that should have been on happy hour. Hopefully they begin honoring the posted happy hour pricing. What a fun and memorable spot in Amarillo! This speakeasy has such a cool, hidden vibe -- from the moment you walk in, it feels like you've stepped back in time. The cocktails were well-crafted and unique, and the menu had a nice variety of options. Service was a little on the slow side. The only real disappointment was that the "library" area was closed -- I had heard such great things about it, so it would've been fun to experience that part of the place too. read more

It's a quaint place, full of character! It has a cool speakeasy type atmosphere. Service was slow the day I went, but my waitress Evelyn was super friendly! I just had Cesar salad with deviled eggs and they were delicious! They were sprinkled with caviar making it very classy. read more

What a great bar and upscale place to relax and unwind with some live music and great cocktails. We got there a little early but it was definitely getting busy around 8 pm. Our server was engaging and prompt. They do serve food but we'd just come from the restaurant upstairs. read more

Neat speakeasy in the basement. Tip is to follow the bullets to the location. I was hoping they would have a better selection of bourbons and whatnot. They offer several mixed drinks and a handful of taps. Service is quick and they will keep your cup full of you allow them.! read more

Pretty cool secret entry. The atmosphere was really laid back. The main room is pretty small so seating can be hard to come by. We actually ended up asking a group if we could share their big booth. Luckily they were finishing up and left but another group asked if they could share our table. Which we did. I think there's a second room behind a bookshelf but I'm not sure. I only had the Lavender Collins which was pretty good. Prices seem to be a bit high for Amarillo but I could be wrong. read more

I'm from Amarillo and I've visited twice. The first time I went, my experience was very enjoyable. The music was spot on for a speakeasy, the bar area was lit up, and the service was very good. The second time, it was much darker inside, to the point I was having issues moving around without feeling like I might fall over something. Our waitress was dressed very gothic which seemed strange for a speakeasy. There weren't many people there and it was just creepy. I feel the prices are a bit on the expensive side, but that's to be expected in a speakeasy. Our drinks were very good both times. The location of the PRC is really interesting and I'd like to go back if I knew it would be like the first time I went. If it's like the 2nd, I never want to go back again. Guess I will give it a 3rd try sometime to see what the 'average' ambience is. read more

Good speakeasy. It's located in the basement of a hotel we were staying at so it was easy to find. If you go look for the cigarette vending machine, or at least I think that's what I remember it to be lol. Press one of the buttons and it unlocks the magnet on the door. I didn't see a way to open it any other way since there was no handle. Good drink menu. They had a girl on the guitar playing and she was really good. It's downstairs in the Barfield Hotel in a happening part of downtown a couple of blocks from the Embassy Suites where we were staying.
