Now, This review is in no way connected to the VENDORS and the Swapmeet WORKERS that help out the VENDORS set up their GOODS that are sold to you the PATRONS. This review is about the Swap Meet MANAGEMENT, EMPLOYEES and SECURITY. To start off, I want to thank the VENDORS for having to put up with these aweful people and for providing us all with such great items to place in our online buisnesses, like me. I work a day a week for a friend who has a BUSY day every Tuesday. Tuesday's is the day to HEAD DOWN there if you're looking for designer purses way below department store prices and for other DEALS like TWO PAIRS OF 501 Levi's for $35. IT'S TRUE. Add me on facebook and I'll point the way. I've seen and have heard of some of the TERRIBLE stuff. I wanted to write this review last weekbut, I didn't get the chance to until now. Today is my BIRTHDAY and I want you all to know That I'm celebrating it by helping to feed the poor. I don't know what that means to you but, I'm saying that I am a good guy WHO IS FED UP with this SWAPMEET taking advantange of these GREAT and AWESOME people and YOU who come and give the VENDORS buisness. Like I said, I wanted to do this last week because, I ordered a 12oz. coffee that came with SPOILED COFFEE CREAMER that had me GAG! (I TOOK PHOTOS). I could not believe it. I stopped buying the food there about a year ago. I stopedwhen I was hurt bitting into a burrito. I ordered a MACHACA BURRITO with some CHILAQUILES. My order took 18 minutes to wait. And, when I picked it up, I was given a burrito alone, I shown them the receipt (they have a stupid way to take and hand out orders that takes forever) and let them know that I was missing the other half of my order. They said it will take a moment to make so, I asked for a refund for the chilaquiles so I wouldn't have to wait and they refused. I went to sit down and eat while the other half of the order was being made, I bit into the burrito and NO JOKE, I cut the roof of the inside of my mouth when I bit the corner of a tortilla chip. WHY WAS THERE A TORTILLA CHIP INSIDE OF MY BURRITO??? I open it up and see that my machaca burrito was not one but, it was a CLILAQUILES BURRITO. (there's no such thing). I mean, WHO would put a corn tortilla in a flour tortilla and serve it? I should have SUED. That cut in my mouth lasted for a month and a half. DO NOT TRY THE FOOD. CONSUMER BEWARE... The SECURITY there is just as bad. They will look into your bags and purses to see if you have DRINKS from outside. I've seen the security dump a disabled kid in a wheelchair's juice away. I've heard of a women throwing a fit when security tried to dump the purified drinking water that she had for her baby's formula away. She was refused entry to the swapmeet when she did not comply. THAT IS JUST HORRIBLE. I've walked by them and have heard them say some LUDE comments and have even heard stories of some looking up VENDOR'S personal information and even stalking them. I wouldn't want patrons to come visit and be sexually harrassed just because they wanted to go out and shop. There was a time you would pay $5 to park in certain parts and places. Now it's about $2-$3 depending on which days you head on down. I've read some of the GOOD FEEDBACK and don't even recognize the people who claim to work there. The swapmeet has tried $3 admission in Holidays. It is $1 on Weekdays, $2 on Weekends. You head over there on a Weekend with a family of 5 and pay $10 total to come in and see a HALF EMPTY SWAPMEET. They cannot fill the Swapmeet with VENDORS because, the Swapmeet charges VENDORS a rate too high to want to come in and sell. Other Swapmeet Rates charge $25-$40 to set up. I don't really know how much does Paramount charge VENDORS. It is disguting to take advantage of them and you because, you want to look around for goods... I want you all to know my family raised me in a Swapmeet. For longer than I've been alive, they've made ends meet in there. They cannot do it anymore. They lost interest of making the American Dream happen with the HELP of their small buisness in the Swapmeet. This is not a REVIWER bitter at my family's failure. This is a GUY saying, SUPPORT THE VENDORS at Paramount Swapmeet and BEWARE of your car being stolen or broken into, BEWARE of the STAFF serving you spoiled food (I have pictures). Although, you WILL have to be around them, GET YOUR BARGAINS AND DEALS FROM THE GREAT AND AMAZING PEOPLE who have helped me FEED the homeless in DOWNTOWN L.A. I have been coming here since I could even remember! I have found many of my treasures here, many brand name products, and non-brand for AMAZING prices. I bought 3 beautiful knit sweaters here from JCPenney at $5/each (regular price $50each) & one of them even had a defect so the woman there gave it to me for $3. You really can't beat that! I also get all my nail polishes here as well, and my shoes. Another awesome product thaf I got was one of those facial cleanser products from cvs that run for $20! I got it there for $8. If you take your time to look around you will find some pretty amazing things. Overall, if you love bargins and must I say not pay taxes, this is the place to go! read more

I have been to plenty of great swapmeets but this one is terrible! Entrance fee on a weekend is 3 dollars now. Parking depending on where you park is another 3 dollars. Thankfully there is a lot for free parking if you don't want to pay. There are a bunch of stands but most of the things that are sold here are terrible. Plenty of clothes some even brand name but they are defects and have large holes and tears. A vendor tried to sell a pair of faded and torn uggs for 60 bucks. No joke! Some of the stuff that is sold here belongs in the trash. Won't be coming here anymore. read more

Beware from the guy selling sewing machines. The machines are used but he claims the machines are in working condition. He will deliver and try at your house. Our machine gave up the first time we tried it and all his promises were BS. Horrible business practice. He makes false claims for you to buy. He seems like a very trusting guy. Beware!!! read more

As a pet owner very disappointed . I came on my only day off Wednesday for a walk and see what new . Well I'm. Walking to pay for my entrance with my two month old puppy which I'm not planing to let him walk because of the dirtiness . Well , the lady on the window your dog is not allowed . What ? No sign I've worked here for years and this place is dirty and nasty . Very upset to come here to kill some time and turned away because of my puppy. I been to other places clean places, closed buildings stores , and this place turns me away . Well good , it's so dirty I don't want my puppy touching your floor any way. The venue is big and the vriety is fair. The prices are fair. There's little to no shade, so bring an umbrella or hat. If you're bringing kids, elderly, or someone who doesn't like to walk make sure you bring a stroller, wagon, or chair. read more

the days of that swap meet are long gone . they really dont have a unique selection of things at all yea its big but not worth the sunburn and the admission fee to look at cheap stuff . So true that you can find better and cheaper things at target or wal-mart .... not worth the drive.... read more

This swap meet has about everything you would want. The prices are very cheap but you have to pay to get in. It has a very large parking lot and it is right next to the bianchi theaters. You pay one dollar on weekdays and two dollars on weekends. Paying for the entrance is worth it though because they sell a lot of things cheaper than you would find at other places. They sell things that you can no longer find in stores like Nintendo 64's and vacuum cleaner parts but what i go there for is socks. They sell socks at a very low price, you could get 12 pairs of socks for five dollars. They also sell food, but I've never bought any. You can even get a back massage. The only bad thing is that everything is outdoors so you have to walk around in the sun while you shop. I would recommend this place if you want to save money on shopping. read more
