Ask to pick up items I may bid on the following Monday after Easter and here is the response. No. My guys are t staying there this weekend due to Easter. Don't know is this is English but let's assume it might be. I read their policy on picking up items late and it is not good for the consumer. They will charge you $100 per day on each item and tell you up front that the day they give you will not be flexible. So the $100 per day just add up. If you are using them to sell items you are not going to make what is possible, due to their restrictive pick up times, and unforgiving delays. I do a lot of my own maintenance and we're in the middle of a renovation so I'm always on the look out for good deals in building materials. I've only purchased items from here a few of times but I've always received what I purchased and always gotten a good deal. My last purchase was an LG fridge. $2,200 regular retail is as cheap as I could find it. I won the bid at $900 but you can't forget the buyer's premium and the cost to go pick it up, which in my case was considerable. I didn't realize when I first bid that North Lima was 4 hours from the house. My bad. But still, I have about $1,300 in a new fridge with nothing but a very small dent in the back corner - looks like from a strap - which I knew about when I bid. The fridge works great. The people at the pick-up point were friendly enough and competent. I would not hesitate to use this service again. read more

Just got scammed purchasing pallet racking. After driving an hour and half to pick up items purchased from an on-line auction, I was told that the lot I purchased was missing items. When I pressed the workers in the pick up area for answers, they stated that the owner counted incorrectly and there are no refunds. When the one worker turned an walked away from me, that's when I knew I just got scammed. The owner offered to refund my money if I did not want the items. I guess he doesn't understand that I just drove an hour and half with two employees to load the pallet racking. I guess he is assuming the travel time, fuel, employee wages are free?? I asked the workers in the pick up area, why is the owner listing these items when he can't count to ten?? Of course, no response... read more

They had an auction in Wooster, OH recently and we purchased vinyl plank flooring - around 700 sq ft (to cover our living room and foyer). We open the boxes to find several of the flooring damaged. There was white paint on several of them that could not be removed. Some of the flooring was also already cut. Some of the sides of the flooring were cut off as well. We were extremely pissed off. Very unfair business - basically cheaters if you're going to sell USED flooring to someone who assumes the item they're bidding on is in good condition. There were about 3-4 boxes of flooring totally damaged that we threw in the garbage. We ended up having to go to Home Depot to purchase a similar style flooring that doesn't even match! Very unfair - if you're going to advertise that you're selling 780 sq ft of vinyl flooring, then all boxes should be usable. If you know that there are several of the flooring pieces that are defective, the bidders should know that. What a disappointment. First time and last time I will ever bid on anything in this auction. I've been to builders auctions in the past and had no issues with the items I purchased. Save your money and go to Home Depot honestly. At least you know what you're buying and there will be no disappointing surprises! read more

After spending thousands of dollars and many years of attending these auctions, I have finally had the last straw. Yes sometimes you get good deals; however, more often than not, based on the time, effort and aggravation, it isn't worth it. Today, while attending the auction and while standing next to the auctioneer, I specifically asked him if I could check to ensure all the parts were in the box prior to me taking the item. Upon inspection, I advised him there were numerous parts missing, and I wanted to exchange it with the other box. The auctioneer stated, "Too bad, we sold the lot, you'll have to talk to guy who bought the lot". Of course I did ask the man if he would exchange boxes with me, to which he replied, "No". He would have had to be out of his mind, as he was not missing any parts. I asked the auctioneer to recind the transaction, to which he refused. The lack of professionalism, courtesy and general demeanor toward their customers is unacceptable. Caveat Emptor - LET THE BUYER BEWARE.
