The restaurant gets busy as the night goes on, so definitely make a reservation ahead of time. While service was friendly and attentive, we found that the food ended up being quite slow. We were actually bummed that our fries came out room temp, like it had been sitting for a little bit. Otherwise everything else was fine - nice bites, but overall smaller and on the pricey side. Cute little wine bar tucked away in LES. The service was very friendly and they were knowledgeable about their wines. We got the orange wine which I appreciated how they kept it chilled and refilled our glass whenever it was near empty. What a cool spot! Being in here felt like a VIP room. The seating is really interesting, you could end up sunk in a cosy leather couch or at a tall table. Either way its romantic and cozy, with dim lighting and cool ambiance. The wine list is not overwhelming. Its the perfect length honestly. We had an orange and red, both well priced and the cheapest options. If you want a more expensive bottle then thats your prerogative! Parcelle has great vibes. It's a very cozy space and is very nicely decorated. I think it's a great spot to catch up with friends or as a stop on a chill night out. The service was okay, but the waiter did take our wine away before we were finished with it and forgot to put the second half of our order for a while. We tried a lot of the food while we were there. Parcelle is one of my go to spots in the city and I'm 50 trips late in making this review. Parcelle is the laid back, retro, perfectly-planned-acoustics vibe you're looking for when you're with a date or a few friends. It's cozy with great lighting and feels chill yet hip and exclusive at the same time. Plus, you can easily hear the people you're with which I always appreciate! The wine list is well thought out, fun, and super unique, with bottles from locations and producers you probably wouldn't know much about. The by-the-glass list is shorter (though lots of fun!), but the bottles are hidden gems so I'd recommend going the bottle route if you have a few people joining. The service is always top notch. Everyone is so kind and I always feel like there's thought put into helping you decide a wine or guide you to something you'll enjoy. Amazing sommeliers here to help you out and just talk about wine. Absolutely will not come back. We got here on time for our reservation and the host made us wait when there's open tables in sight. (I thought it might be other reservations too) but we waited for almost 10 mins and host sat the party that came after us. We had to ask if our table is ready, host said just a few minutes and immediately after he said that he picked up the menu and led us to the table I thought its for us. When we sat down, no staff came over to offer water or whatsoever. Didn't say anything to explicitly menu or wine or asked us. After we ordered, the server poured a small portion into our glass just left. JUST left. Didn't say a word. The food was brought up by a back kitchen employee I felt like im in a fast food restaurant! You think they lack staff that night? No, staff were leaning in the service table chatting. Our main course came before the appetizer and we had to ask for it. Also, dont go here if its a first date, the waiting times between each dish is ridiculously long, awkward waiting times when the wine portion is small too. Food was good but small portions like other reviews said. Wine is ok nothing too particular. Regardless the zero service i still left a decent tip which was dumb. People say staff don't make enough but then they make absolutely no effort no training for the job they chose. Unbelievable. read more

Very special place. Such a cool ambience inside with the green entry way, the natural embroidered walls, the low light and the twinkly starlights above. Our waiter was great he helped us with recommendations on the menu and was attentive. We ordered the crab fried rice and the local asparagus with fiddle ferns. I'm giving 4 stars because I wasn't wowed by the fried rice, it was not memorable. Loved the wine, the glassware, and the overall vibe though. Parcelle has wonderful ambience--it's like the cozy, well-lit apartment of a good friend. On a recent Saturday night, it was lively and full of groups of friends and people on dates. Everyone at Parcelle was incredibly gracious and attentive. Our waitress was very sweet, but didn't seem to be the most knowledgeable about the wines. At other wine bars, the staff is so clearly knowledgeable (and curious about what we like), that we feel comfortable having them suggest a flight for us. I wish the wine list was more extensive, interesting, and more detailed in its descriptions. The selection could also stand to be slightly more affordable: Most wines by the glass at Parcelle are $20-$25, and the pours are not generous. The food menu is also somewhat limited--it could definitely use more variety--but the short ribs and the squash with burrata and pepitas were delicious. The crudo and the crab fried rice were so-so. Portions are pretty small for the prices. We love wine bars (Place des Fêtes and Compagnie des Vins Surnaturels are two we love in NYC) and had a good time, but I don't think that we'd go out of our way to return to Parcelle. read more

The food we tried including the squash burrata, spare ribs on a bed of mashed potatoes as well as the cod entree were all delicious. However, after dinner later in the evening I left with a heavy stomach and felt a little off. I think ultimately the main dishes were on the heavier side, which didn't sit well with me. Also, the wines by the glass are limited (for a wine bar this is strange) and also super pricey at $25 for a glass of red. The pours are not generous. To their credit when I complained about it, they offered a free extra glass of the same red. I am so sad to be writing this review as I used to frequent this place, but I had the most concerning customer service experience this weekend that will keep me from ever coming back. Our waiter - a man in his 30's with glasses and a dagger tattoo on his arm was unnattentive (to put it nicely). At the end of the night we kindly asked him to give us the rest of our bottle of wine (we had been sitting with empty glasses for 15 min). He said it was empty, but we had eyes on it and it was not. We kindly asked again and said that we saw that there was a little left. He stomped back over with the bottle and poured it unevenly - to only 3 of the 4 of us and said "It is all sediment but if you want to suck your teeth like whales I am not going to stop you". I was so shocked I couldn't even come up with something to say back. It was appalling that he would use the word "whales" when referring to a group of women, let alone anyone. I am so so sad that this place's service has gone downhill - I used to have a great time here. I really hope that someone heard what he said and that he will be reprimanded in some way. read more
