I sliced a dime sized piece of skin off my finger. When he left the room to get a shot prepared, I realized I didn't want him touching me. I walked out after meeting him in the hallway and giving him an evaluation of his care, holding a piece of gauze on my finger, dripping blood down my arm and onto the floor. The very caring receptionist asked me to wait while she got the manager, who got me another provider to help me out. I still refused the shot and they offered me a less invasive treatment. The manager got me some water and graham crackers, good idea as that much panic could case shock. Thus a mixed review.

Dawn Castle comes in, spends about 60 seconds seeing me, says it is NOT gout, writes it up as a "skin infection", and gives me an antibiotic. It didn't go away, and a week later I was in severe pain. I went to a podiatrist in Hendersonville, and as soon as he saw it he said "this is a textbook case of gout." He prescribed a correct med and I was better in two days. I called into Pardees patient services to complain and request my $50 copayment back. I felt that I wasted my money. I was promised my $50 copayment back from Dr. Schwartman. I waited months and was passed off between a Morgan (useless) who doesn't return calls, Jenny (patient services) who dropped the ball, and passed to an upper manager Alicia Weiss (spelling?) who passed the buck and said that Pardee is owned by UNC and they don't give refunds. So I get a call tonight from the UNC accounting dept., 4 months later, and the girl tells me they "don't give refunds for the copay." What a pathetic joke Pardee and UNC are. You pay good money to go to their urgent care to be diagnosed by a fake doctor for a false diagnosis, and they don't care because they get their money from your provider. What a rip off. I might as well go to an auto mechanic next time I have a health issue. Do NOT use these crooks!!!! Look at their poor reviews folks. They will reply to contact their customer care phone number. Why? They don't care.

For someone who rarely gets sick the stomach flu is a traumatic event. I was able to get in to this clinic quickly and was taken care of with the utmost attention. The nurse practitioner on duty was very attentive and kind, and I was checked far more thoroughly than my MD would have done. I was provided everything I needed to continue to get well once I left. Note: They are only open during regular business hours during the week and Saturday, and afternoon hours on Sundays.

Wait time was only about 15 minutes to see the assistant and another 15 to see the doctor/nurse. Doc took a look in my mouth, took maybe 15 seconds to go "yep that's an infected tooth there." She left for another 10 minutes, came back with an itemized list of instructions and my prescriptions were already faxed to my pharmacy. Entire visit was maybe an hour at most, plus it's all the same medical group as my psychiatrist, so insurance and check-in was easy.

I'm not trying to belittle anyone's job but can you please explain to me how hard it is to take someone's ID and insurance...enter their information into a computer...and COMPLETELY FORGET to give the patent back their ID and insurance card? Maybe I should have prefaced my previous paragraph with the fact that I was the only patient in the waiting room upon my arrival... phones were not ringing... it was very quiet except for the TV playing Good Morning America in the background. Not only that, I sat back down for about 5 minutes (until I was called to the back) where I spent an additional 20-25 minutes with the doctor and the radiographer taking X-rays of my chest. At any point in that time frame someone from the front desk could have brought my credentials back to me (or given them to someone in the back that could have made sure I got them)... or even just told them to remind me not to forget to get my credentials on my way out. That didn't happen. What happens is I drive 17 miles back to my side of town and then I receive a phone call saying that I forgot my credentials instead of I'm sorry I forgot to give you back your credentials and that I would need to come pick them up. Now I have to drive 30+ more miles because of your incompetence and lack of due diligence . What was even more surprising is when I returned to the facility, a different employee recognized me and knew why I was there...reached into a drawer and flipped through two or three envelopes that had other patients names written on them.... BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T GET THEIR IDs BACK EITHER. I would like to know what's going on ? Are the employees taking your personal information and using it somehow... possibly giving it to some friends who can use it for nefarious reasons? People don't think anymore!!! I know it sounds stupid to some people, but forgetting to give me my credentials back and forcing me to have to take another trip on the road not only puts wear and tear on my car but it also puts me in position of having a potential accident (whether it be my fault or not).
