When I first saw the name Paris Baguette and walked into the bakery on a Sunday afternoon, I was expecting something different. The place has seating, which is nice if you want to sit down and have your pastry / bread and beverage. Sitting by the window is nicer, even though it's not much of a view. It is crowded to the point that people have to wait for a seat to be available. This place does draw quite a crowd. I came here with two other people. I bought a coffee. Walked in, grabbed a tray, got in line and paid at the cashier. The other two people that I came here with picked up almond bread (if my memory recalled correctly) which we shared, I thought it was very good. There is a little "sign" in front of the items, so you know what are picking up. There are so many options to choose from, it does becomes difficult in choosing what you want. Decision, decision, decision! The items are a little pricey. The decor at this location is nice. I hope to be back here to try something different the next time I am at Paris Baguette. read more

This Paris Baguette is pretty amazing. Ample seating, and a ton of different pastries and desserts... everything from croissants, asian-style pastries, donuts, to cakes, even sandwiches and shaved ice. The main reason why I like this location so much is because they had this peculiar "korean rice cracker" the last time I visited. It was essentially a big and flat, crispy baked rice and wheat honey cracker topped with chopped almonds. This may not be a pastry by any standard, but it was beautifully crunchy and sweet and salty, sort of reminiscent of honey bunches of oats. First, if you are ever debating to go to Paris Baguette or Koryodang, go to Paris Baguette. It is little bit over priced than Koryodang, but the quality of their baked goods are worth it. Their garlic bread is really good! Also, they have wide various amount of cake, more than Koryodang. They have these little sliced cakes for 3-4 dollars, but it is worth it! First things first... They really do have the best tasting bread in the area. Also i think they have the best coffee i have ever tasted and its ORGANIC, although some people think it is too strong. I bought this Tiramisu Mocha Chiffon cake for a friend's birthday and I was very fond of how the cake tasted. It wasn't too dry and the experience at this Café was nice. We were staying right down the street from this cafe and looking for a place for a quick breakfast before we had to catch our train. It was a Yelp review leading us here because of the amazing Cronuts. The amazing Cronuts I never saw because they don't make them until noon. When the hell did Cronuts become lunch food? I think this is a franchise, just like what I have similarly ( but mine is online). What I mean is that it follows what has consistently proven to have brought profits to them, a system that works. I got sense that the 2 very pale skinned guys who work there and with whom I chatted with felt surprised I was trying to relate to them other than just merely buying their coffee and baked goodies (they taste good!). They have to get used to customers like myself who look different from them who dare to go about relating with them while they work. I came this bakery to meet my friend in Flushing. I was overwhelmed by their large selection of cakes and pastries. They look so appealing and delicious. We had peach ice tea,sweet potato pastry, cup cake and bread stuffed with red bean paste. I liked the flavor of ice tea. Cake and red bean bread are very soft and tasty. It is like a zoo in there...Terrible service, you hear the employees cursing at each other. Cashiers that call next (i'm next) tell me to come forward then ignored me and service someone else. They seem frazzled and overwhelmed with pressing the buttons on the cashier. LOVE the royal pudding and strawberry shortcakes. My fiancee love their green tea blue berry cakes and chocolate cakes. I am talking about the onces that are presliced and not the packaged ones. It is adorable how they decorate the cakes and put them in the box. Their pasteries are great too. You do pay for good quality breads so the prices are pretty high as compare to other chinese bakeries in the area. I usually stop by here to get their cakes and not pasteries because I find their cakes are much better than their breads. They also have premade sandwiches which I haven't tried yet. They have seating but it is difficult and crazy to try to find seating. They don't clean the tables as often so most of the time I end up cleaning the table myself before I place my food and drinks down. During the winter this place is terrible to sit and chill with friends or love ones because it is always cold. Summer is just as bad because your legs get icky from sitting on those old leather seats. If you are lucky enough you can get the plastic chairs. Although the selection is not as big as the one in korea, it does have the main essentials. I love the little cakes. They make a cheese cake and a chocolate cake. I fell in love with the chocolate cake at first taste. It may not be the best chocolate cake in the world, but for a mini cake, it is not bad. The texture is light and moist and the taste is just chocolaty enough to satisfy a craving. On the other hand, the cheese cake is a different story. It is a very light cake with a hint of cheese flavor. That is if you chew it long enough for the flavor to come out. If you are a fan of italian cheese cakes, then I think that you may be disappointed here. It's much smaller than other locations in midtown, which makes it feel crowded very quickly.
